We didnt have a problem here. I will say that they are pretty pricey (for certain items), but Im kinda used to that coming from a small town with one grocery store. If you only need a few items, then this would be a good stop. If you need quite a few things or housewares items, then you could always go to Walmart which is only about 15 minutes away. This is an IGA, which is similar to a Piggly Wiggly for me. We did make the comment about Ribeye being $19/lb. The check out went quickly enough, and the staff were very friendly. There were some people trying to sell a timeshare as we were leaving, though.

Everything is very limited selections and a bit over priced but they are on the island so your paying for the convienence of it being on the island. they do have a great wine selection, a bakery selection and deli which is nice. The fruits and veggies were fresh. They sell fishing licenses here which is nice but its not a place to get all your groceries at just a few things in a pinch. I would go off the island for most of my shopping and we did for the most part but its a good place to grab like butter or something small.

Excelente super mercado tienen mucha variedad en productos lo único malo es que dan bolsas de papel por motivos de leyes de la zona (creo que el plástico es un problema para la fauna del lugar) pero si llevas varias cosas se pueden romper y tirar lo que llevas

Do yourself a favor and go down the road to walmart! It stinks like poop by where you buy the seafood. We bought a coffee pot and drove back to our room. Opened it and saw the whole bottom was broke out. Right away my husband drove back to the store to exchange it with a unbroken one, total time maybe 15 minutes. They WOULD NOT exchange it or refund the money! He ended up having to buy ANOTHER one, but he made the manager open & check it first!! Selling broken products & not exchanging is ridiculous!!

Came in at 940pm for a fishing license. This was the 4th place we went to for a fishing license. The only reason we went was because they were close to us and open until 10pm. We went in and the lady behind the desk said they were already closed. We asked a few times hoping she could help us. Apparently, they dont have any policy towards satisfying customers. So we went to Walmart. I would never have guessed a business offered worse customer service than Walmart. I was wrong. Avoid the blue marlin.

WOW!! Hope you dont need a lot of groceries. If your looking for meat or seafood you would be better off going in to mainland. Got stickershoc. Traveled all over the states and this has to be the most expensive grocery store I have seen. 20.00 a pound for Gulf shrimp! Hello we r on the gulf. Was in NOLA last year at this time and paid 6.50 a pound for fresh caught 8 to 10 count per pound. Talk about rip off.

Beware, tourists! This store has no return policy printed on receipts and basically returns are at-will. They will not promise to exchange any goods with or without a receipt, and even with a receipt, you may be out of luck. The manager said many tourists want to return things and they have a policy against this. Do not buy from this store unless you are 100 percent sure.

Its pricey, but you know, its the island, so if you want cheaper prices, go to HEB so stop complaining. Theyre pretty friendly here, but it does smell bad when you walk in. This place is the only place in the island that you can get water. I drove through the entire strip and this was the only spot where you can refill your gallons, and for that, yall get 4 stars mang!

Everything you need for your island stay or to stock your kitchen. Very clean, plenty of options, staff helpful. Felt like I stepped back 30 years (in a GOOD way) after only being in big chain warehouse mart megs stores for so long. Prices a little higher but not uncomfortably so. Well worth it for the convenience. Plus, more types of Tampico than Ive seen anywhere.

Its a small island grocery. They wont have everything if youre trying to shop for a large group for a long period of time, but should have most things. Some prices are comparable, some are downright high. If you are cheap or going to complain about higher prices go to the mainland. If convenience is what you want, this is it. Store also has beach necessities.

Nice supermarket with friendly staff. It was fully stocked and had a little bit of everything. The prices are definitely higher than HEB or Walmart across the bridge but you dont have to drive over there. If you are missing a few things and you dont want to drive across the Causeway, Blue Marlin is a sure bet.

Its pricey, but as are all IGAs (have one in my town-7 hrs away). You cant go to SPI and not shop at the Blue Marlin! And, thanks for selling koozies! I try to get one at all stops during vacations, and was happy to see a Blue Marlin koozie ! Been here twice now and will return on our next vacation!

Its a convenient place to buy groceries on the island. Some things are a little pricier, but its comparable to other stores. It is hard to locate things as the store seems to randomly stock the shelves, but it doesnt take long to find what you need. The meat market is incredible!

I absolutely love the staff and management. I see many people complaining about the prices and fail to realize this is the ONLY supermarket located on the island. If you are that cheap, consider crossing the bridge. I will be returning as I do every year.

Overpriced grocery store, beware! If you really need groceries, and not just a few convenience items, take 15 mins and drive to Walmart or HEB near Fort Isabel. Especially if youre a "gringo", expect hostile/aloof service too.

I had a bad experience trying to return an item. Management was just not friendly or helpful by any means. Eventually could not resolve the issue, and lost out on my money. Terrible service and even worse management

Pricey and limited selection, but you dont have to leave the island. Although prices are a little high, the meat counter is the best you will find without driving 40+ miles. Nice selection of beef.

After going to the island market and being wildly dissatisfied, this place was like a godsend. Seeing fresh produce gave me a happier feeling then I ever thought produce could.
