My mom purchased frozen BBQ pork buns from Lucky last week and when she prepared a few for breakfast yesterday, they were spoiled and rotten. I told her to take them back to get a refund because people shouldnt be selling expired goods. How did Lucky Oriental Marts owners respond? They refused to give her a refund or store credit on the grounds that she didnt have a receipt and she could have purchased these buns weeks ago. Yup, they accused her of lying and then they had the balls to say that they didnt carry that brand of frozen buns even though the package my mom brought in had the Lucky price tag on it. She even went back to the frozen foods aisle and found several more packages of these buns. I want to point out that places like Walmart, Target and other places allow refunds without receipts, but this isnt even what I am most disappointed about. If I could give zero stars, I would for the poor customer service. My family has frequented Lucky Oriental Mart for the past two decades and have seen the service go from indifferent to outright horrible (new owners for the past few years). Theres absolutely no trust. The new owners are just out to make as much money as they can on their nasty expired food products because if they really cared about running a decent establishment to serve the local community, they would treat their customers with more respect.

I went in there looking for natto, which is a Japanese traditional food. Its fermented soybeans and has a lot of health benefits, most notably a high amount of vitamin K. When I entered the store I wasnt even greeted. The two women at the cash register were speaking in thier native tongue to each each other heatedly. They were very rude. When I approached one of them, I showed her a picture on my phone of what I was looking for, she barely looked at me and tapped her friend to look at it. She dismissed me when I tried to explain to her what it was saying, no Japanese, and waving her hand before going back to talking to the other one. Im guessing they dont speak English very well. The little boy that was there was the only one who was trying to be helpful. If they were smart, they would take advantage of having someone who is probably fluently bilingual and have him accommodate the guests and actually provide good customer service. Its clear that his aunties or whoever they are dont know what that is.

I love this asian market ! I can get my favorite frozen dumplings to steam at home, my crispy seaweed snacks, and huge spicy ramen noidle soup bowls to make when I feel like a cold is coming on, like today. Ginger honey throat lozenges, etc. Everything is neatly organized and priced. There are really affordable houseware items in the last aisle, plates, bowls, mugs, teapots and cups. You could literally outfit a small kitchen with almost everything you need. I used to buy my son a fizzy drink from the refrigerated bottled beverage section when he was little, about 12 years ago, that has a drop down marble in the opening. You pop it down and the drink is ready and fizzy, and you have a rattle to make noise with when you are done. Good memories and it was a nice way for me to talk about another culture with my son. I will continue to come here, hopefully for many more years !

This place although it has plenty of good DRY goods, was an absolute disaster to visit. As a chef I pride myself in good sanitary habits. This place had an entire wall refrigerator that was HOT and not working. Ironically enough it had most of the seafood items on display here. Things look perished and rotted. I have no idea how they are still in business. The freezer was over stocked and looked like every item was freezer burned. Again, for DRY goods(so long as it has an expiration date on it) youre good, but for anything like meat, seafood, or any type of protein I would def NOT ever purchase it here. Very disappointed as I expected much more out of a market I have been seeing in business for nearly my entire 35 years of life.

Was super starving one day after work so I came here and got the spicy pork bitmap hoping it would fill me up.It did that and more! They give you a huge bowl of whatever protein you choose, white or brown rice, and a ton of vegetables.Everything tastes so fresh and was seasoned perfectly. All the flavors together were so cohesive, I just never wanted to bowl to end even though I was beyond stuffed. The atmosphere was so hip and cool. I would love to return and get the tacos or even just another bitmap with another meat.If youre craving Korean tastes this place is a must go!

Poor service and poor goods. I received spoiled items and was given no refund, I also heard them cursing at me in their language calling me "guilo" and other deragatory racist slurs. they would not even refund a single item when i asked for only half back. run dont walk away from this store. do not ever go here. if you get bad food make sure to save your spit, the bad bites, and the excrement to show them along with whats left...even then they may refuse.i sell goods and never treat the customer as they do. dont suport and reward such behavior and disrespect. nuff said

Sunday June 14, 2015 - Our first visit to Lucky Oriental Mart. First impression was a very unfriendly staff. No good morning or Buenos dias! Very good variety of product but come on guys you are way OVERPRICED! Also we want to thank the the owner or manager for "helping" me in opening the door when my family is still inside. We just payed for our products Man, where are you manners man. You are a grumpy china man. Word of advice, be cordial to all you new and existing customer, there are the ones who keeps you in business!

This place is really nice with lots of things on shelf. They even have some candy and such sold in bulks so its really great. Only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because the woman at cashier seemed like she didnt want to be there and didnt seem very friendly, there was no communication between us. I went i for ramune and pocky and I really liked what I saw. The ramune was cold and the pocky was sold in a bulk. I didnt really check out the other stuff but the fish mart in the back didnt look occupied honestly.

Anything Asian food can be found here as well as other items such as plates and jugs from China. Chinese food condiments and canned food of almost all kind as well as sauces etc...I must say that if you are looking for a welcoming staff, forget it as the cashier lady barely greeted me, maybe thought I am going to steal something from one of the narrow isles they have. I still recommend this place for the many items they have for all of you Asian food lovers. Che che
