I was excited to have a better grocery store in the area expecting something of Whole Foods level. Today for the second time I have come home with fruit that looks good on the outside, is pricey, but is rotten on the inside. Are they selling irradiated produce? Not classy. I have been satisfied with the meat and fish selections but wondering what should I think about those things considering the bad experience with the produce. Step up your game Fresh Market!

Its definitely not a Whole Foods. While both are relatively expensive You can do a complete shopping at Whole Foods and their produce both freshness and variety are much better than Fresh Market. But for what it is... a specialty grocery store with a good selection of meats, cheeses, sauces...its great. Yes you can buy similar things at Giant but the Fresh Market carries some unique items and overall its a more pleasant shopping experience for me.

I like the really fresh produce and meats. However, Ive noticed that in one instance the store is trying to make a customer buy more of an item than they wish to. I have tried twice to buy a portion of the oak roasted salmon, and have been told that if they cut it, it will fall apart. In other words, they want me to buy a really big chunk of it...since its very expensive thats not possible. I have considered talking to the manager about this.

High quality foods, great if you want to lead a low waste lifestyle. It is more expensive than most grocery stores, mainly because they limit their selection to brands that dont use fillers and additives. Almost everything said "organic" on the label. There were brands I hadnt heard of that offered unique flavors in the sauces and marinades. I liked the experience, but I wouldnt be able to afford to do all of my regular shopping here.

I was thrilled when The Market came to town, but Im having second thoughts. I have been in the Rehoboth Beach store at least three times in the past seven days only to find some inventory depleted with restocking questionable. Really, on a holiday weekend in a resort area! I was not offered a raincheck on the sales items. The produce is also on life support, the Honey Crisps apples, watermelon, etc. Sure hope things improve.

The best way to describe fresh market is that it has all the most expensive stuff from a regular grocery store in a slightly smaller store. The prices arent terrible, and they do offer some good sales a couple times a week. Some people probably hate that FM is open because there are more traffic jams on country club road. But, I can now go to the grocery store in the summer without having to get in rt 1.

I love all the preparation they do for your freshness steaks,chicken cut to order, Personnel are always very helpful suggest ideas on what you may be having for dinner what could go with it they always greet you with a smile, sometimes if you tried something new they will ask the next time your in let them know how you liked it. Customer for life!!

Not going back because: 1. Poor quality produce. Organic peaches and apricots, which looked perfect, went moldy the next day. Pears tasted starchy. Honey crisp apples tasteless. Croissant was like bread inside. 2. Very crowded (I went Friday morning). 3. Over-priced (compared to Whole Foods) 4. No organic cheese. 5. Really cold inside.

I love the fresh market! Very good place to find unusual snacks and to-go sushi. However, a lot of things are overpriced ($7.99 for cookies...) and a prepackaged salad I bought from here was subpar. However, I definitely keep coming back because I value the variety it offers.

A bit overpriced, but you get what you pay for. The freshest and best food selection on Rt 1 in Delaware. The closest thing to a Wegmans at the beach. From fresh Sushi to gourmet meats and prepared foods. You may leave a little poorer, but you wont be disappointed.

I picked up their weekly meal deal and it was a great value! Chicken pot pie, garlic batard, spring mix salad, & a dozen mini cupcakes for $20...enough to feed 3-4 adults. They have a different $20 meal every week. Delicious and easy to prepare!

the breaded boneless chix breast is excellent, when u have it, which wasnt today. the meatballs need work, purchased today as a sub to the above, the greek artichoke salad is a keeper. the cole slaw isnt. the tiramisu is incredibly excellent.

Stopped to pick up something quick. Turkey Burger ....inedible .....baked beans .....so so.......Peach pie .....crust was good...peaches were hard.. I think I will go back to Giant ....it is cheaper and the deli is just better

Idk about produce . My happiness is with meats and seafood. I get my mango chutney there. I look at ingredients over nutrition label. Gotta pay for quality. Let me.know you find someplace with food you feel clean eating. Source

The freshest produce was on opening week only. Select carefully. They do have some health staples I enjoy. Like most health food stores, a good portion of food is sugary junk passing off as healthy food.

Little disappointed. This store had limited selection compared to most fresh markets. They didnt even have corn tortillas. They do have a big selection of high end snack items and great produce though.

Very nice store, the bakery is outstanding!!! Very nice atmosphere, not for everyday grocery shopping, but if you would like to treat yourself with something good this is place to go!

Great staff are the icing on the cake for this cute grocery store with tasty treats, upscale produce and healthy Staples. Meat and coffee purchased here were especially not worthy.

Very high class grocery market with prices to equal its class. Mostly unique items and upper crust offerings. Not for the pajamas and fluffy bunny slipper Walmart crowd.
