This Western in Mountain Brook is where I do the bulk of my grocery shopping -- the store is clean, the staff are friendly, and even though the store is small (compared to a Publix or a Target), they still manage to have a great selection. Youll find not only the usual grocery store items, but also lots of local foods, gourmet foods and organic food. Western has a huge and fantastic wine department with staff trained to help customers find just the right wine and vintage, and they also carry beer from local breweries. This Western also has a popular hot bar that serves breakfast and lunch, a full salad bar, and a floral department.

Still getting used to the new location. I miss walking in through the floral department and knowing exactly where everything is. The wine selection is enormous, more so than before. Seems the selections in general are more varied. Somehow they managed to keep the parking lot a health hazard.

Great for different options. Stellar meat counter. New facility is more spread out. Open late! Take advantage and miss the busy/rude customer rushes. Customers will run you over, but the staff are all helpful and friendly.
