This is by FAR the worst "dealership" I have ever been to. I was interested in a car he advertised on Craigslist- I called to ask if he would provide additional details and send me the Carfax. I was told he would not email me the Carfax: I would have to drive an hour to view it and the car. I arrived to look at the vehicle, and was met with a less-than-professional attitude. Once I decided to purchase the car I made it clear I would write a check for the full amount. He treated me like a criminal for not wanting to finance the car. He advised that he would take my check if I "was a farmer that he knew", but since I was not he would not take my check. Fine- I got a bank check and returned 2 days later. He looked it over for 5 minutes, giving me dirty looks, like I had given him a fake check from a BANK. Then he told me he does not have to help me with my paperwork for tax, title, and license and that he would not be giving me a dealer plate. Fishy, but OK. I can take care of that on my own. He proceeded to tell me I didnt need to read the paperwork or buyers agreement, and to "just sign it". Of course I would never sign paperwork without reading it. I advised that my FULL NAME (including middle name) would need to be written on the title, and I would sign it the same way. Just a rule-of-thumb for Polk county. He actually YELLED at me, telling me I "knew nothing" and he knew best. We walked out of there with a very poor view of this man, his business, and the town of Martensdale. I expected to be treated with professionalism, as I was spending thousands and thousands of dollars at this place, and I was treated like his less-than-human counterpart. No one should ever YELL at their customers, even if they dont agree what the customer is saying. At the end of the day, the customer is the one writing you the check. I wouldnt waste my time even viewing a car from this "business" ever again.

I would like to give this place zero stars. Sold us a car that my son spent ALL his savings on, only to find out it needed a TON of work. We are currently at $2600 in repairs and not done. The mechanic doing the work, said that the seller (Jas & A) definitely knew about these problems. Nice. Way to look out for your fellow man. Take advantage of people, kids even! Worse than that, we have a mutual acquaintance! BUYER BEWARE! I would never buy here!

I bought a Mazda from Jas&a for a family/commuter car. Everything works good and car runs great. Ive had it for three months now, driving it at least 80 miles a day and no issues. Car is sharp looking, clean, and was the best deal for the money I could find when I looked around. No hassles, good to deal with, and very fair price.

My family has purchased four vehicles from Jim Streyffeler over the years. We were always met with the highest of professionalism. He is a soft spoken and honest business man whom I have referred to my close family and friends, without reservation.

I purchased a 1999 Monte Carlo from Jas & a Inc and have had no issues at all! Jim was great to buy a car from and gave me a great price for a car that had very little mileage on it!
