I never thought I would be writing such a negative review, but I have been given no choice. Im a business owner myself, and I try my hardest every single day to keep my customers happy and to only get perfect reviews. So far so good. But heres a story for you. My family has been going to this mechanic with our 4 cars since they opened a few years ago. Their customer service was never great, but they always knew what they were doing, it is a nice, clean shop and its located only a few blocks away. Last weekend my brother took his car for an oil change and a tire rotation. Somehow one of the technicians installed the oil filter incorrectly. On Monday morning, my brother was driving to work and his car eventually died, the oil was all over the engine bay, since the filter sort of points up at an angle. My brother called towing right away and had the car taken to Bobaks. By the time my brother arrived at Bobaks, their technicians reinstalled a new filter, which was sparkly clean, and they made a hole in the back of the oil pan, and said that my brother must have ran over something (driving backwards, I assume), and the oil magically flew up from the oil pan onto the top of the engine. An argument escalated pretty quickly and the owner, Paul, kicked them out of his shop and made physical threats. The car is getting assessed at another shop right now, and the new mechanic confirmed that a hammer had to be used to make the repeated dents on the oil pan. I think it goes without saying, DO NOT GO THERE!

You have got to be kidding me with these negative reviews. I never write reviews, but when these guys are providing good prices and service Im not gonna sit back at let people trash talk. I got my semi truck last year and needed fleetguard oil filters and two other fleetguard parts. Not only did the international dealer up the street quote me one thing over the phone and another in person they wanted $150 for 3 parts lol. I think I paid $50 or $60 for the EXACT same parts from this NAPA store. So please stop the trash talking. They have the cheapest batteries around. Go spend $30 more somewhere else if your not happy. I went with my mechanic and the other chicago truck store down the street is a joke! Im driving 40 mins from Skokie, IL just to conduct business with these guys. ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS ATLEAST CALL THEM AND SEE THEY BEAT EVERYONES PRICE. Trust me! Guys are awesome guys eager to help and help you save. This may sound like an employee is writing I ASSURE YOU ITS NOT. Ill be conducting my business through them. You dont like it, go get ripped off somewhere else. Probably the competition writing negative reviews.

Bobaks is the most honest and thorough auto place Ive been to. With all the competing automotive car shops Bobaks is definitely the best place around. As a female they truly take care of my automotive needs and dont take advantage! I enjoy going there for my car care. Chris is the best sales man and Albert is the best mechanic. Highly recommended for any car issues!!

Naapa..home of the perfect brake job? Not quite. This cant be further from the truth. I paid 400$ for new pads and roters about a month ago...and returned 5 times since they were making noise knocking and squeeking...and earlier today the whole brake system locked up and started smoking. What a joke...I had my 8yr old son riding with me. Thats just wrong.

Hector the guy In parts , is the second time I go and he always has attidude. Also the girl thinks customer service is not important because according to her NAPA is a small industry. Im a customer that spends about 800 to 1,000 monthly and I always take my truck driver customers there .

I always take my car there, have been for the last 3 years never had a problem (knock on wood) would recommend to anyone, and prices are better than the stealership.
