There is yet ANOTHER local hangout for all of your coffee-sipping, laptop-working, socializing, healthy-food-eating needs. If youve never had Stumptown Coffee before, well... First of all, where the hell have you been? And second of all, get your keister over there now and try some of this delicious java thats sure to tickle even the most refined caffeinated taste buds. The coffee is always meticulously brewed to perfection, and in my opinion always carries with it a certain robust nuttiness that one can only find in the most popularized coffee shops around LA, and goes perfectly with one of their typical, yet surprisingly high-quality pastries from their pastry case. If you need something more filling to absorb some of those caffeine-induced acids, they also carry some super-healthy to-go meals in their fridge section from Cafe Gratitude. Ive never actually eaten raw, vegan cuisine with my coffee, but hey, coffee makes everything better, right? If you dont have time to chill in their spacious, comfy, oh-so-hipster space, or simply want to take something home for later, their fridge is stocked to overflowing with take-home options of their most popular cold brews, including Chocolate & Coconut flavors that seem to be new additions to the ever-growing roster of coffee concoctions these guys are brewing up, as well as the all-time favorite Nitro Cold Brew. And yes, the quality is still great for those that come in a can/ carton/ glass bottle. Perfect to have in your fridge for when the java withdrawal starts setting in. And believe me, it will.

Humptown - Why are men are like coffee? The best ones are rich, hot, and can keep you up all night. Dank. Straight up...dank. Im going gangster up in this B, because it deserves it. I dont mean dank in the proper sense as in disagreeably damp, musty, and typically cold. No no...I mean it in the Urban Dictionary way meaning an expression frequently used by stoners and hippies for something of high quality, in this case...very high quality. "That coffee was dank, man!" Is this a Beer Brewery? I really wish it was. It has the DNA of a great brewery massive warehouse with fresh cold brews coming straight off the tap, long bar for serving, food truck sitting outside, corn hole games outside, lounging areas with massive Connect 4 and Jenga...its perfect. The alcoholic in me wants the Nitro cold brew to be a nice smooth Porter sooo bad. Even looks like it when its poured into your glass with the haze flowing in the beer and topped off with a nice layer of head on top. You know a coffee is amazing when you dont need to add a drop of anything else to it, when was the last time you could say you had a cold brew like that?

This is a great coffee shop located in downtown Los Angeles. I came here because a friend of mine wanted to come check out some clothing stores in the area. Well, we were in need of some strong coffee, so we navigated over here. We were impressed by the decor of this place, and the selection too. We knew what we wanted: a nitro cold brew. The barista filled our cups from the tap, and we found the coffee to be very smooth tasting. The prices were comparable to many other coffee shops of this type. And the customer service was on point. Parking was found in a lot adjacent to this building. It was free, and there was an abundance of spots. The surrounding are looked peaceful and safe. Granted, this was in the middle of the day. There were other patrons around, and they were mostly hipsters and folks working locally. I would recommend this coffee shop, as I was impressed by the quality of their nitro cold brew.

Im not a big coffee drinker and wouldnt know anything about a roast, blend or origin just by taste. But I can taste quality, and the folks behind Stumptown seem to be doing something right that sets them apart from their many, many competitors. Ive been to their shop a couple times now while visiting friends in LA. Its an open, high-ceilinged industrial space with a nice area to sit outside. It has that unavoidable hipster vibe, but thats more due to the clientele. I went with my usual go-to, a mocha, and found it rich, creamy and satisfying. What really impressed me was their cold brew. I sampled my friends and loved the flavor and caffeine zing. It comes in a bottle so its nice and portable. Id never go out of my way for a coffee (personal preference), but if I lived in the neighborhood I could see myself coming here quite frequently.

You can get Stumptown Coffee at random coffee shops. I first had it at Café Dulce in Little Tokyo a while back. Love the slow pour the first time I had it. You can find a storefront Stumptown Coffee shop in the Arts District off of Santa Fe. This place looks more like a brewery than it does a coffee shop that includes a production area for roasting beans. Cool interior with a watching area for roasting. I wanted to try a nitro cold brew. Should of stuck with the regular cold brew served without ice. This nitro version taste more like a beer as is how some beers are poured with a little foam. Pretty smooth but tasted and looked more like a porter to me. Definitely a cool spot to chill. Looking forward to try other drinks here.

Stumptown coming to Los Angeles was with great expectation. I however, find that the coffee roasted in LA does not seem to be quite like the Stumptown coffee roasted in Portland. The Hairbender espresso is what I have been busing and pulling shots with at home for a few years. I used to be able to detect the three distinctive regional flavors in the Roast, but it is hardly noticeable now, At a price for 12 ounces which equals and exceeds the price per pound for other locally roasted coffee, adds to a bit of disappointment. In perfecting the roasting process, it is understand that changing roasters, or a roasting facility takes time to master. I hope again to call Stumptown my favorite roast some day soon.

Did someone say good coffee, or did they say "Stumptown"? Theyre basically synonymous - excellent coffee and coffee products. The pastries they sell are nothing to sneeze at either, awesomely gooey cookies and other wonderful things pair beautifully with the coffee. The interior is spartan but useful, with bar style tables set up. WiFi is solid, so you see quite a few people working while sipping. If youre near this area, and you like coffee, youve got to give it a shot! Pro tip - The outdoor space is on a main, high traffic road. Relaxing with coffee and a pastry only to have a garbage truck blow by doesnt equate to the best experience possible, so understand that before sitting outside.

Pretty solid coffee. Even when I go somewhere else and they brew Stumptown coffee, it is consistently good. For coffee, I usually just stick to their cold brew or a simple latte. I also love that the workers are also really helpful and nice here! I just recently got an espresso maker and if you buy their beans here, they will grind it for you and you also get a free coffee! :) I would suggest going with their Hair Bender and Holler Mountain beans if you like more chocolately/nutty flavor rather than the fruity notes. They also carry delicious pastries/baked goods here too like kim chi and spam croissants. Oh, they also have punch cards here and it even applies to their coffee beans!
