Ever walk into a bait and tackle shop and the workers behind the counter who are engaged in conversion amongst each other stop talking and just stare at you in perfect silence as you move about the place? It pretty eerie. Well that doesn’t happen at Anglers Sport Center. The folks at Anglers are jovial and enjoy engaging in conversation with the customer. Furthermore, they are knowledgeable about local fish species and are more than willing to clue you in on what’s biting where and what bait and tackle to use: the same goes for hunting animals too. These guys and gals want you to be successful and they enjoy it when you return to the store with a great story to tell or a citation fish to measure. In addition, the employees are knowledgeable about the gear they stock and sell. Ask a question and they will educate you on the correct equipment to buy for the type of sport you plan to engage in. Finally, as for prices Anglers is competitive with items you can purchase on-line, except you don’t have to wait 2 or more days for a brown truck to pull into your driveway. Sure I could get a small price break at some large chain like this-or-that Mart; but, I prefer to patronize Anglers to ensure that there will be an Anglers Sports Center to shop at year after year.

I went to the gun counter and asked a simple question about solvents. Im told to talk to one of 2 guys in the fishing department. I waited over 15 min while they helped fishing customers and was skipped twice. Finally talk to one of the guys and he hasnt a clue and tells me I need to go talk to someone at the gun counter. Mind you the gun counter has had a couple of people doing nothing the whole time I waited. They should take the "Hunting" off the sign and just be a fishing store if they are not going to hire people who know what solvent is to work the gun counter. Place is a joke outside of fishing stuff

The Pro Staff at Anglers will put you on the fish! Check out one of their seminars or many how-to and fishing report videos. Everytime you visit the store the have something different and more of the latest products. I do some spending on my fishing habit and I feel that Anglers pricing is good to great. Ive gotten plenty of deals not to mention the best service. Get to know the guys and gals at Anglers, theyre a great bunch.

As shore fisherman they get a bad rap on their bloodworms. Ive never bought bloods at that store so I cant contest. Store is neat and well stocked with a huge selection from Bucktails to BKDs to planer boards and everything in between for terminal tackle. Their prices seem reasonable too. Theyre the only shop for miles where you can get live spot and fresh alewife(bunker). Glad theyre in business.

One of my favorite spots! We always stop here on our 3 hour ride to Ocean City to pick up some bait and a little gear. I always end up buying way more than anticipated because of their great and unique selection. The staff has always been very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this store to any novice or experienced angler.

Rude and not knowledgeable about the process of selling weapons. One worker says to bring x forms, another says to bring y forms. Then they treat you like garbage when you dont have the necessary forms due to their lack of understanding the process of selling a weapon.

I never pass by Annapolis without going into Anglers and looking around - it has almost become an addiction. Probably the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff you will find anywhere and they have just about everything you need for hunting or fishing.

Usually go there to pick up cut bait, hooks and leaders. Prices are pretty good. If your buying sinkers its a bit pricey,.40 an ounce so I went on youtube and learned to make my own. People that work there seem friendly and helpful.

Very dissapoiting! I bought two fishing rods, and they both broke. They did not last even for a week! Poor quality stuff!! They were pricey too!! I took one back and they did not help me at all. Just because I did not have a receipt!

One of the very best if not THE BEST bait and tackle shops in Maryland. You can get any bait, any tackle, and the very best informed fishing secrets from this shop. Definitely a go to place if youre heading to Sandy Point State Park.

Their blood worms are tiny (but healthy and active). If you need blood worms and go to southern MD for fishing, try martys sporting shop or else where. Its way better there (at least bloodworm wise).

Why do I keep going here? Another crappy bag of bloodworms from Anglers, only eight in the bag of a "dozen", two of the eight dead and only one with any size... for $11.50. I never learn.

Their blood worms are small sometimes. They will cheat you on your worms and only has 10 worms when it is suppose to be a dozen. Their tackles are over priced. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Bought here many times but will start buying elsewhere because I bought 2 dozen bloodworms and they were so small that they hardly fit on a small hook and paid $12.00 a dozen.

Quick stop when I was eastbound to Delaware prior to the Bay Bridge. Great for a quick stop. Very professional uniforms and staff. Alcohol, as well as assorted sporting goods.
