Cant agree more with the previous reviewer- Sultan Very unprofessional and unethical!!! I will never go there and will advise others to be cautious if you have no other choice but this store It was first time going to this store. I was one of the last customers for the day on 11/28/2015. The girls at the cash register (two of them) asked me to quickly put the groceries down on the counter top as they want to close the store. They started ringing the groceries in a disorganized manner, and arguing with each other for not doing it correctly. When I got home, my wife was curious to know how much they charged for some of the standard items. To our surprise, almost every item was a dollar more expensive than what you would get at other indian grocery stores. On top of that they charged me twice for two items (~$10). I called them and left a voice mail but the store was closed. The next day, I called the store and some rude voice greeted me and directed me to the manager. The manager (cant remember the name) was not at all helpful and said that he is seldom in the store but one of the girls who was there last night will call me later in the afternoon. I never heard from them and two days later I called them again but got the same response that someone will call later. Very unprofessional and unethical!!!! I am definitely going to report these guys to appropriate authorities.

The last time I had been to this place was towards the end of summer when the mangoes were on sale. On inquiring whether the type of mangoes displayed in small cartons were alfonso, one of the owners/store managers started giving a weird answer instead of a simple Yes or a No. He started explaining that, if he were to tell me that it was alfonso, I would blindly purchase it, but he exclaimed that he was honest and would not do that and so those are not Alfonso mangoes. I did not clearly understand the point of all this when a simple Yes or a No was all that was sufficient. Although I did not take this seriously, what irked me the most was that, while my other friends were completing their checkout, this store manager started telling one of the cashier ladies in hindi to get my friends to purchase those mangoes by convincing them that they are alfonso mangoes. The store manager was definitely unaware of the fact that my friends and I clearly understand Hindi. Fortunately my friends did not purchase the mangoes. Having this negative attitude and making fool of customers is definitely not a healthy business strategy. Ever since, I find it worth travelling a little bit more and going to stores that have a welcoming attitude towards customers and have a better quality of products at a much cheaper rate than this place.

I never write up reviews. I am a quite tolerant person and easily let go. But recently, Ive had one after the other bad experience at this store! So I specially made it a point to log in and post a review. I do not say dont go there. But only buy stuff you can see (like fresh vegetables etc). All this happened in the last month. We picked up a paneer and noticed mold on it. We let the shopkeeper know and he took it. Then, while we were to buy atalfo mango, he insisted we should by Haiti (most expensive of the lot then). We bought it and horrible!!!! All money down the drain. Then, we bought frozen parathas. I opened the pack and removed 2-3. There was little mold. I cut that area and still used it. But later, I realised as I digged deeper, that there was more and more mold on the parathas inside! Now, I have not even saved the receipt! :-( And when i turned the pack over, it said sell by June 2010!!!! And we bought it like 2 weeks ago (July 2011)! They dont even discard older stuff and let it be with mold formed on it! Really dissappointed. So please, only buy stuff that you can verify has no mold, OR save your receipts!

Its too bad about this place because Ive been coming here for years but they cant seem to fix their biggest problem and Im going to take my business elsewhere. The girls at the cash register (definitely not grown women) have attitude enough to give the DMV employees a run for their money. They are terribly snobby, rude and give one the sense that theyre in a high school clique. They bang all your fresh produce on the counter and throw your items around with little care, so when I asked them to take care please, I got a snotty little "ok" and then found my tomatoes on the bottom of the bag under cans, bottles and frozen goods!! Seriously petty & unprofessional. This store has everything, the stock guys on the floor are super helpful and polite, and the prices are ok (gotten more expensive) but the quality of produce varies. Couple that with the rude register staff and Id suggest going 6 extra minutes to Lodi and trying Shree G. Thats what Im going to do next time.

This is a place to grab anything u may need from Indian grocery and it has been improving over the years. The products are getting better but the prices are bit on the north side perhaps due to location but it is good to see it is available in Bergen county and near by. I had a experience couple of times that I was charged twice for minor things without being purchased those item, it could be a mistake on cashiers part but it is sneaky and unprofessional, puts me off not due to money because it is tiny puny but the sneaky aspect of it. I complained it couple of times just to let them be aware that customer do pay attention to it, so dont do it!!!

All the cookies they are selling contain no eggs. When I bought the different cookies and brought it home when I eat they dont taste good like I used to taste, so I was thinking why. Last week I went to the store to buy my regular items and cookies I said I should read the ingredients .when I read the ingredients I found there is no egg in all of the cookies, then I realize thats the reason there is no taste in all the cookies I bought from this store. I think they make specially for Hindu peoples because they dont eat eggs. I am Muslim and they should cater to Muslims tastes.

Due to my location, I am forced to use this Indian grocery store, but I am not a fan. It is pretty dirty. The fresh veggies that need refrigeration (spinach, scallions, cilantro, etc...) look in pretty bad condition... not fresh/crisp. The fresh raw peanuts have tons of flys all over them. Shelves are unkempt, held together by strings and what not. It gets the job done for indian shopping, so go ahead and use them, but dont expect things to be clean.

Its really small, but has almost every essential you need from Indian grocery. Gets crowded in evening with long checkout queue. But has 3 cash counters and they are fast. Has a nice mini restaurant type setting inside where you can have a quick bite for snacks. Likes samosa, paratha, pakoda, chaat, tandoori chicken etc. you can eat here, its has 3-4 high chairs or take to home.
