If I knew beforehand just how inconsiderate and intolerant the managers at PetsHotel were in this location, I would have dropped my dog off at the Lancaster location. From the top: I went to drop my dog (Australian Cattledog/Border Collier mix) at Petshotel at the Bel Air, MD location because I was getting married that weekend. We specifically told Petsmart that they needed to put the paper collar on once they took him back, and NOT in front, because he wouldve been uneasy to new people. They told us it would be no problem. We also requested that he had play time due to being a highly active dog. So I get there, and BOTH the assistant and general managers tell me that if they werent able to put the collar on him, out front and in front of me, they couldnt take him. To make matters worse, they labeled him as an "aggressive" dog for "safety" reasons, not to mention they were extremely condescending and rude to both me and my dog the day before my wedding. The worst part was the fact that when I went to pick him up, THEY DID NOT PUT HIM IN ALL DAY PLAY when we specifically asked them to do so. Again, hes a highly active dog, and plays well with other dogs and people. If it wasnt for the fact that the Petsmart in Lancaster has been good to us and our dog, I would completely refuse to purchase ANY product or service from this company. The treatment my (now) wife and I received from BOTH the assistant and general managers was absolutely unacceptable, and action should be taken IMMEDIATELY so that no one else in this area has a similar experience that we had. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Sadly, I doubt anyone would notice or do anything about it. So until these 2 are removed from their positions, consider this as a warning to not take your pets to this location.

I went here the other day frustrated and clueless on what to do. Dealing with one grumpy cat and one sassy younger cat, as I looked at the cat food in complete frustration debating about what I wanted to do I wandered up and down the aisle trying to find someone for some advice. I found Danielle working with the dog food. I walked up to her and asked if I could get some help about cat food, she said I can try, and was willing to help me without hesitation. I explained to her that one of my cats was having complete stomach problems and I wanted to change the cat food to see if there was any improvement. She suggested a canned pumpkin wet food and a bag of cat food that didnt have the horrible fillers my current cat food choice did. I know shes not a vet, so most people would of been hesitant to answer my questions and blown me off but she took the time to give me her own personal life experience with her two kittens and share what had personally worked for herself. Needless to say my cats are both are happy and eating, my cat with the stomach problems doesnt seem to have any more stomach problems, and is a lot more active while my grumpy cat still eats his food in satisfaction. Thank you Danielle for taking the time to even just let me vent, and helping me get into a cat food that seems to be doing the trick (: best pet smart experience since I left California two months ago.

This facilitys staff is rude and unhelpful. I checked in my dog and met a woman that had an attitude because I asked her to call my vet to verify a supplement dosage. When I called to make a reservation, all they told me was to printout my dogs vaccination, I did that! But when it came time to drop her off... suddenly they couldnt administer the joint supplements and was angry at she had to do her job. I picked up my dog 2 days later and noticed she has lost her bark. I have never experienced this before and it was her first time at a "dog hotel." I called PetSmart and again, they were rude and didnt provide any insight on why this could have happened. "I dont know why your dog has no bark, Im not a vet," was the response I got. Mind you, Im perfectly aware that this insolent woman is not medically trained, my question to her was if there was an incident over that wknd that caused her lack of bark and if its a common occurance with other odogs that have stayed at their facility. I will never take my dog there again. The staff was rude, unhelpful, insolent. I would not give that business my money! Look at other facilitoes and accomodations!

The grooming area was okay until the other day when taking our pup in for an appt. We were late, but they worked with us, which was great. Last time we took our little guy, Steph groomed him & he looked GREAT! She did a fabulous job then, as well as this time! As a matter of fact, our guy was really shaken (like most animals are, when having to be groomed) but when Steph walked out & the little guy spotted her, he calmed down drastically! He seemed to stop shaking & he even seemed a little excited to see her. Steph said it made her feel better knowing that he was comfortable with her. It makes us feel better, too! I would highly suggest Steph for your grooming needs! She is great! And well be requesting her (as well as tipping) when we take our guy back again!

where do I start. If I could rate this place zero, I would. I bought my puppy to stay on sunday aug 13-aug20. I just picked my puppy up, when they bought her out to me, she was wet and shivering. She was supposed to have a complimentary bath which she didnt get. I was told that "she was supposed to get her bath yesterday but being that it was so many dogs here yesterday they only sprayed her with perfume to cover up her odor. My puppy is only 5 months. How could you spray perfum on her and try to let it air dry and shes only 4.75 pounds. This place is such a rip off, my puppy will never stay here again. Please save your money and take your dogs somewhere else to stay thats worth the money your paying where they will treat your dogs well.

Took our dog to Banfield they scraped a spot on our dogs leg to check for mange she did not have it but they brought her back with keg bleeding I asked if they could please bandage it. Should I have to tell them this? Second salon is terrible poor customer service trying to schedule for grooming and only opening was seven am I said I have to drop my kid at school and could shoot right over but it would be like 7:05-7:10 they refused. What????? No trying to accomodate and they Re overpriced and do mediocre work at best I am looking for a new groomer sorry but the hundreds I have spent there if not more is over I will go to someone who appreciates my business

sept 16th 2016..i dropped both my dogs off at the pet hotel at 730am..i called during the day to check on them..i picked them up at 845pm..the staff was rude..coulnt find my dogs toy that was suppose to be in the room with them...my dogs ears were beet red...they both urinated and pooped hugely when ee got outside...20 min drive to home..then they drank 1 1/2 gal of water for med dogs...all this leads me to believe they were stressed and did not recieve water
