I love desserts. Thats it. Cant live without them. It is a curse bestowed upon me since I was a baby (or that is my excuse for eating them). When I heard about this unique donuts shop, said to be "NYCs most creative doughnuts," I had to go pay a visit. The "creative" part is not only its donuts creations, but also where they are located. With limited retail space in NYC, chef Scott Levine decided to open his artisanal donut shop inside a car wash. Yes, you read it correctly, a car wash. Since it is nested inside the car wash, the space they have is pretty small. I mean, really small. They offer decadent donuts with creative icing flavors, and an old-fashion coated in flavored sugars. They have the donuts with icings on top shelf, and the old-fashion on the counter. I didnt realize that the sugar coated ones are made to order. When you pick one flavor, they toss the old-fashion donut in the container with the flavored sugar in it, and voilà! There is your sugar coated donuts! their donuts did live up to my high expectation, and delivered what we wanted them to deliver; high quality, tasty donuts. The only thing is that they do not have any tables or chairs. They have 1 bench right outside, but that is it. I would definitely want to go back there for more, and go there earlier in the day so that I can try all the other flavors before they sell out of them. Clever to nestle this place in a car wash and it would have been very pleasant to happen to wash my car and stumble upon a donut shop inside for a quick snack as my car moved through the vehicle bath. I heard about this place and took a lazy Saturday to visit and was quite disappointed. The service was bad, there was an inattentive, unhelpful cashier chatting with someone who was clearly a friend and not an employee of the car wash or donut kiosk. They seemed to be out of every kind of donut and even though they had a donut-making machine it was running with no dough. The donuts we did purchase were good and we enjoyed them but had to eat them standing outside as the inside is cramped and theres no where to sit. Overall pretty cool for a car wash patron but dont go out of your way to visit.

Amazing artisanal donuts. An interesting nook set within a carwash, it screams of hipster. For what its worth, if you look beyond that them youll enjoy your coffee and cake donuts. I liked brown butter and chocolate the most out of their selections. They offer something new seasonally but Im equally anxious to see what else they come up with next. Being on the West side makes this location somewhat inaccessible. It is a couple blocks away from Gotham West Market, so it is walkable. Keep in mind to come early for wider selection or call ahead. Donut choices dwindle the closer you get to 3-4pm. Enjoy!

Lapin and I came here after seeing the lines for the Intrepid had a 2 hour wait. The tiny shop is nestled inside an car wash and can be very hard to miss. There was two people on staff and while it wasnt busy we had to wait a bit (around 15 minutes) to be served. The lady who helped us wasnt friendly or polite and looked quite burnt out. We got the Lemon Poppy Donut, which was okay (was dense like cake and dry) a bit expensive for $3 since the woman said they were still tweaking the formula. When she gave us our donut, half of the bottom came off, so we paid $3 for half a donut.

I had the maple waffle donut and the chocolate ice cream. The chocolate ice cream was actually phenomenal. The maple waffle donut was also super good, but compared to the ice cream, underperformed. Its kind of funny that the ice cream was what was impressive since this is a DONUT shop, but nevertheless. Its in a car wash, which is sort of strange - theres limited seating, so not really intended for big groups. Lastly, the staff there was super nice!

Hidden in the car wash is our favorite place for breakfast, donuts made fresh to order with upscale coffee, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider. On some days the donuts are apple cider donuts. You may never have had fresh donuts, they taste nothing like the soft, soggy things you get at most donut shops, they are crispy on the outside and sweet with a few toppings line "expresso" (which is coffee powder and sugar). Another #W42st find in the hk

Big fan of cake donuts. These are excellent cake donuts. The Banana Milk is a really cool, subtle flavor Ive never seen in a donut before. Reminded me a lot of grabbing donuts and going to the car wash with my dad when I was little. Its not a fancy location (a huge plus for me!), but its a fun and delicious experience.

went to the original location- very small and in the middle of a car wash- that said this is the only location to get them freshly made and hot with that coffee ground topping- so unique- grab one and go- too small to sit there and eat but worth the trip to this original location

Didnt reach my expectations, perhaps because after all the amazing reviews Ive heard beforehand. The doughnuts per se arent bad, but Ive had much better in the city, in my opinion. I found the fluffy circles quite dry and lacking some texture. But de gustibus non est disputandum

Friendly service and decent donuts in this five of a donut shop on the west side, but I was not impressed by the coffee. The coffee was very acidic and had an unpleasant fruity aftertaste. I couldnt finish it and had to dump it. When I dumped it, it looked like used motor oil.

I love the fact that this tiny shop is actually in a carwash. Not the easiest to get to but definitely worth the trek. The doughnuts are small cake ones with some great flavors. Cake doughnuts arent my favorite but Ill make and exception for underwest. Well done!

Subtle location hidden within the car wash but really good doughnuts! They didnt have much of a selection when i went but the cinnamon doughnut was amazing. I had it like 30 minutes after ordering it, walking around with it and it still tasted fresh!

Its hidden inside of the Westside Highway Car Wash, but their donuts are yummy! I got the Coco Raspberry Donut, and those are made fresh to order! Best donut Ive ever had.....warm and soft!!!! I also enjoyed the coco raspberry powder!!!

The donuts are really good, with several unusual flavors. Some people will think that a donut shop hidden in a carwash is goofy and fun, others will find it cramped and annoying. Which kind of person are you?

I heard about this place from other foodie friends. Not a wide selection of Donuts, but they were good. A little gritty, but well made. Hard to find inside a car wash, but thats part of the allure.
