I am a casual gamer and I have a few computers that need fixing and tune ups. This review is based on 2 recent experiences at this location. (1st) Time Experience Issue: My main computer was having issues, randomly shutting down during big title games and without any warnings. I got no blue screens or errors just complete shut downs. I called up and was told to bring it in for a checkup which was FREE. (I tipped him for his service and good attitude) Service: Key things I liked about the quality of service I want to mention is the personal attention you get. I also liked how quiet, clean and organized the place was. Tech seems very knowledgable and willing to negotiate prices. Resolution: My heatsink was clogged, a lot of dust had accumulated and was causing issues. I need to clean it more regularly and consider a upgrade since the quality of heatsink does not match my processor needs as efficiently. My heatsink needs an upgrade was the suggestion. Final Thoughts: He not only cleaned my pc, benchmarked/stress tested my pc and commented would only charge if he actually worked on the pc. Today I am going back for the installment of my new heatsink (Corsair - H100i v2) and also get my laptop checked which might also need a cleaning. Will update review again for my 2nd trip around. (2nd) Time Experience Service: Upgrade Installation of Corsair - H100i v2 (Current value $109) He told me it would cost $275 for such work but I found that to expensive and considered the job simple therefore cheaper. He lowered the price to $125 for a heatsink installment which I am confident that is what we agreed. We had previously talked about him doing a full new build for me so once he was done building he charged me $272 and said $125 for the future build which means he charged me $147 not $125 since a new build setup is $500. I will admit he did prioritize my PC but the price was excessively expensive! Recommendations: Get it all in writing FIRST. I will give it all a benefit of a doubt and on a misunderstanding. I walked out paying $272 instead but a credit of $125 towards a future build. I am not upset but I guess I have to make the best of it. He seems like the best tech around the block. Even though it took him 3hrs to install when only the front and back cover of the case were needed to be removed to install. Removing the motherboard should not impact installment price which he said was partially the reason for price but he never removed. He did though remove my graphics card temporarily for space and my back case fan permanently. Final Thoughts: I brought in high grade paste for the processor and heatsink so we could remove the factory one on the new heatsink but it was not used. When I mentioned it he said he would use his instead but at the end of the day he refused to use any and kept the factory one on. I think he did the best he could with the knowledge he has on building. I appreciate his efforts, commitment and awesome attitude. I will be coming back for future repairs but be better prepared so doing YOUR homework before you come is a MUST. I do feel I couldve negotiated the price better if I could of explained to him what to do to make his job easier. I also want to end my review with me in the future getting things in writing and having another person with me verifying what we are agreeing on because I do believe communication could of been better. I saw this last note based on not just my experience but other reviews. I do believe he can get the job done, will go the extra mile but will cost you $$$ PS: The laptop was not fixed since it would cost more to fix it then what it is worth so leaving it as is. Had to install the data cable for the RGB lighting myself from the Corsair - H100i v2 setup that was left out. A full PC build with custom water cooling cost $500 You buy the parts.

I did get the facts straight, thank you. I never said I was a reoccurring customer and my father is a very nice man who would rather get the rotten apple just to make other people happy. Which I believe is why you yelled in my fathers face when he tried to tell you that there was no water damage. He finally stood up for himself and you YELLED at him. And based off of some previous reviews, my dad is not the first person you have been rude to. I love my father so of course I am going to stand up for him. Especially when he is being ripped off. The first time I wrote the review my father told me you ruined his hard drive. Which had over $10,000 worth of work on it so my claim was not ridiculous, only true at the time. After my dad told me it was recovered, I edited my review to stay true. He was only appalled because you threatened to "get me for slander" and complained about a bad review. He was concerned for my well-being not because I wrote a review that was true. I dont lie. Personally, if you dont want bad reviews, dont give bad service. And after speaking to my father, he agreed. The computer you sold to him (which I feel you had no right to charge him for your mistakes and my lawyer agrees) is an older model than the one he left you with. Only a world of assumptions follows that. And just so you know, I have a right to post my opinions to inform other potential customers of the kind of experience that was had at your place of business. Its called the first Amendment. Google it.

After reading all these excellent reviews I choose this place. My laptop was water damaged. When I came there, first of all the man was honest and told me that my computer impossible to repair. But then probably wanted to take advantage, because I was really sad and confused, had hope to bring my computer back to life, he proposed me to see if its possible to repair. If my laptop will work after dry, Ill pay $250. Probably because of language issue and my emotional condition, I missed the part where I have to give my laptop him for free if its impossible to dry. It was very tricky. I am so naive, because thought the guy want to help me. I remember he mentioned that you can sell damaged computer by parts on eBay and make good money from it. But I thought it was a part of conversation about similar situations. Few days later he called me and told that its impossible to repair, we can to buy new parts and it gonna cost a half a new computer. I decided to buy a new one and ask when I can pick up my laptop. The man replied that we made a deal and he takes my computer... Yes, its my mistake, I didnt listen carefully. Because I didnt expect this tricks from him... Just wanted to aware everyone be very careful with this guy. He charged $125 for his "work". I could leave this computer him and didnt pay. But I dont like when someone make me fool. I will never go there again and next time will pay more attention in similar situation

I had a wonderful experience with My Computer Tech, Inc. Before I even went into their shop, I had a very helpful conversation over the phone with one of the owners. Feeling confident after our phone conversation, I went to the shop for a free estimate. I had been experiencing major problems with my laptops fan (my computer had been heating up at extremely high rates, and it often sounded like a rocket lifting off). One of the owners cleaned the fan and tested it (he also kindly cleaned my screen and keyboard without me even asking). By the time he was done, the fan was good as new. Although the process took at least a half hour of his time, he didnt charge me a dime. As a broke student juggling multiple jobs, I truly appreciated it. Plus, I honestly wouldnt have known the difference if he had told me I needed to replace the fan, which would have cost a good chunk of money. Their honesty and generosity (not that I expect to continue to get free service in the future ;-) will have me coming back any time I have a computer problem!
