Yes, surly is the word. I called before coming with 4 heavy bags, and was given no helpful information. When I arrived I was instructed to carry my donations downstairs, in a most unfriendly way (as if I were imposing on this ladys time). I am a senior citizen with a neurologic disorder, so I was surprised by this persons attitude. Luckily a good Samaritan helped me get my donations downstairs. At the very least, the staff person could have warned me about the stairs. Better still, she could have been pleasant.

Nice stuff as per usual at housing works and mixed prices also standard at HW. But the service and manager was kind of surly without being rude, not very helpful when we made a purchase of a piece of furniture and equally unfriendly when we came to pickup two days later. She didnt offer my husband assistance with carrying up the stairs it out of the store. And he had to help clear stuff off of it even though it was paid for 2 days previously.

I love going here because I always find something great and high quality at a fraction of the price I would normally pay. The last time I went I found this amazing black leather skirt that Im obsessed with. I think they do a good job of choosing on-trend garments that are in good condition. Have also found great house decor as well. The service is always very good-just nice, positive energy all around.

Nice sized space that sold some cool items. I found this really awesome red gown that was only $10 because it was a little bit defected - though I didnt get to buy it because it didnt fit! But if it did fit - would have bought it even though its imperfections. Staff were knowledgable and patient as well.

Decent thrift shop, albeit pretty small. Good for a quick in and out. I love the mission of this organization, and given the location, you can find some pretty cool stuff from trendy Tribeca residents who make drop offs here. Things are well manicured/collected and it doesnt feel like rummaging at all.

I am a very old client at this Store and the employees are very friendly, however the Manager is very umpolite. Doesnt like to talk specially if the person is Spanish. I recommend this store with my coworkers but since this manager they complaint about her treatment.

The only reason this thrift shop didnt get another star is because the prices can be too high. But if you hit it on a sale day youll get a great buy and fantastic quality used goods! The staff couldnt be more courteous and helpful!

The selection isnt as deep as their uptown locations, but you can still find some great bargains at the Tribeca outpost of Housing Works Thrift Shop.
