I do not recommend anyone shopping at this location. Its going on 5 weeks of an unresolved situation and I am pissed. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by the sales manager Mike. My furniture was damaged when it was delivered, the guys did not put all the pieces together and they left behind large pieces of wood that came off the products in my home and I had to personally throw them away. I reached out for help from the RoomPlace and they threw me to Easy-Home then Easy-Home threw me bk to the Roomplace. I was charged for extra stuff that was never brought to my attention until someone else had a moment to explain after the fact because Mike never mentioned any of it from the beginning. It was very frustrating. I just wanted to know why did I have almost $250 extra on my bill but I had to put up a fight to get answers. I was never told I would be handed off to another company immediately after I paid my deposit I thought everything was going to be done directly with the RoomPlace. After the RoomPlace messed up they put the blame on Easy-Home & just said forget about me. I was offered free stuff to shut me up because no one wanted to actually help. The RoomPlace kept sending men to my home at weird times even though I told them ahead of time no one would be around. Mike promised me new furniture on a certain date and after wasting more time calling and coming to the store I found out he never placed the order and infront of everyone he had the nerve to tell some random person (go order her a dresser) I was pissed but at that moment he proved to me he was a liar and did not care about great customer aervice. As long as he was pushing the papers nothing and no one mattered to him. Mike & a guy name Jarvis didnt seem bothered by a unhappy customer being in their presence. I was told this is common which explained why they were so unbothered & didnt mind placing the blame on someone else. They laughed at me as I walked out because I was so upset. Jarvis one of the sales rep actually started cracking jokes so I had to tell him to shut up. I couldnt take it anymore. The staff at this roomplace is very rude they dont take the time out to explain what you are getting into and they show u how much they dont care. Mike specifically told me he was sorry but if hes not signing papers hes not getting paid which made me feel like I had been robbed. As long as he has a signature nothing else matters. I rather sleep on the floor than to keep this furniture. I am not pleased with the customer service or damaged product. Nowhere in the contract does it include taking out trash putting your own merchandise together and being taken advantage of by greedy disrespectful sales men. I honestly dont want this furniture and Im extremely upset that the RoomPlace carried this out so long that its pass my time to return. I was also to I cannot get my deposit money back. This place sucks!!! This is my first time buying furniture and my experience is one to remember just simply HORRIBLE!!! Mike made sure to offer a $100 gift card while I was with my mom but I bet he wont honor it anymore since he said he wasnt aware of my big problem just like he said he was going to order my funriture and never did but I bet he got that commission though. Just give me good furniture take ownership when you mess up & do whats right. I am not spending $18 I am spending $1800 but it doesnt seem to be worth a dime especially treating people like this. Do not shop here you will be highly disappointed. Lets not forget I still have a damaged bedroom set & pieces that are not together & this was purchased end of Feb. 2016 & we are now in April 2016. I definitely know better next time when buying for my home. Never again will I do business with The RoomPlace!!

Absolutely awful! I scheduled a delivery for July 11th between 1 and 5 and they were supposed to call an hour ahead. 5:00 comes, no delivery; no call. I called the store and was told they were running 45 minutes late. I call again at 6:15; they tell me Im the next stop. At 6:45, the driver calls me and tells me that I am not the next stop. At 8:30 I call the store again and they tell me theyll call me back, but they didnt. At 9:30, I call the driver and he tells me to expect a call from his supervisor because theyre not coming. I didnt get a call from a supervisor, so the next day I went to the store. There was another lady there with the same issue. We were both offered Monday delivery, the delivery fee refunded, and a $100 room place gift card, which I was told would be put toward my room place card payment and were told our deliveries didnt come because the truck broke down. When the delivery came on Monday, the driver told me "thats been happening a lot lately." The $180 still hasnt been refunded to my card; Ive contacted room place customer service via email and gotten no response and called the store on Monday and gotten no call back. Michael told me they were SO much better than Value City, but he was clearly wrong.

I would like to Thank sales associate Felix Agyin for making my first experience at The Room Place so pleasant and awesome. He was so professional and very patient with me in making the right decision choosing the perfect mattress and bedroom set. I recommend that anyone who is looking for good quality furniture should shop at the The Room Place,they are the best and their Sales Associates and General Manager are the greatest people you would ever want to meet during your furniture shopping experience. I look forward to a long term relationship with The Room Place, because I plan on buying my furniture from there, here on out and referring my family and friends to their business. Purchased a sofa from the location off of Michigan rd about almost one year ago. I was very skeptical about getting a leather sofa but the sales associate assured me it was a great sofa. A month after getting the sofa the wooden pieces started coming out of the back, called to get them fixed. It took them weeks to come out to fix them, the guy assured me it would not happen again. A year later all of the wooden pieces are coming out of the back, and the springs are coming out. I spent almost $800 on this sofa. The sofa I had before I purchased from Value city and I had it almost eight years, small wear and tears and paid half the price. I wish they would come and get their sofa back and throw it some where.

I received furniture with the room place. They did not have the furniture I ordered in on time. They would not return my phone calls concerning my merchandise. Every time I called their company, they lied and gave me the run around. Once my furniture finally showed up, it had a huge hole in one of the couches and I had to wait another two weeks to get the furniture replaced. After that, they called every day to sign my paperwork I already signed for. This place has zero customer service and it takes forever for them to get their orders correct. I am pleased with the furniture, but the company needs to really rethink their employees. You cant keep loyal, good customers when the service is so poor.
