I view Fred Meyer as an upscale Walmart, and lets face it, any day that youre not stuck in an indefinite line at one of the only two cash registers open at some Walmart is a good day. This particular Fred Meyer (FM) is laid out very similar to all the others. However, for some particular reason this FM has become increasingly dirty over the last year. I visited this place quite some time ago and was impressed by how clean and organized it was, but upon visiting it the other day Im afraid it has begun to adopt a filthier appearance. Everything from the entrance garbage containers (overflowing), the bathrooms (ugh, where do I start?), all the way down to the floors (streaked and caked in filth), this place has become a bit of a dump. The place still has the deals, still has the goods, and of course the service is still there, but the atmosphere has become much worse. Perhaps the reason it has started to delapidate is due to its proximity to the I-90. Shopping centers close to main highways seem to have a certain truck-stop feel to them. This place has what you need, as well as various germs that you dont, either way, just make sure you take your shoes off once you get home.

There are no good options for shopping in issaquah, both in terms of price and crowd levels. Fred Meyer has advantages over some of the local competition. Fred Meyer vs Costco. Because Fred Meyer is open later, you can usually get in and out faster after eight every night of the week. Fred Meyer vs safeway. Because both safeway are smaller, during peak shopping times they feel more crowded. Safeway is also about 15 to 30% more expensive on average. Fred Meyer vs Walmart or winco. The closest Walmart is in Factoria. Its not a full functioning grocery store, and has all the problems of shopping at Walmart. Then theres winco, in North Kent. It has all the crowd problems of Costco during peak shopping times, along with the drive there and back from Issaquah. Yes, its about 33% less expensive for everything, however it becomes a calculation of time versus money. Is it worth your time to shop here during off peak times and travel to and from Kent? Fred Meyer provides a good balance between convenience and price in issaquah.

Overall this location is pretty good. I have received good customer service most of the time and can usually find what I need. Im not a big fan of their meats except the boars head lunch meat. Overall its a good clean store with good customer services but is not perfect. I am amazed by the review from Casey P. Now this Fred Meyer is not perfect but he lists two specific items that floor me. A) He states he couldnt find an electronics section. Its very clearly at the front of the store. Additionally couldnt he just as someone where it was? B) He whines about them selling guns. He also says they are unsecured which if you look at the size of the locks on them it should have been obvious they were quite secure. He ends his erroneous diatribe with a statement that makes it clear he is speaking ideologically instead of writing a review.

I had a bad experience with one of the managers walking around the store - Jenae. While I was asking for help, she was completely distracted and disinterested in my issue. I had higher expectations for Fred Meyer as I have been a long time customer. This store, however, is completely different. The morale of the employees inside is low and with management like Jenaes I can see why. Although Im pregnant and asking for help, she had little interest in doing her job. I was obviously not welcome so my family and I will not be returning to this location. Will gladly drive to a different city if I need to go to Freds.

We live close and have been to all the supermarkets in Issaquah over the last 25 years. This is by far our favorite and not just because the prices are the best. It is not only a grocery store but clothing, hardware, electronics, bank and also the very best pharmacy in Issaquah! The employees are most often very friendly and helpful. Many of the them recognize us as frequent customers and we feel at home at this store. Even the guys and gals outside handling the shopping carts are friendly and polite. 5 stars for best bang for the buck supermarket in this area!

Todays visit was for outdoor gardening supplies. I wandered around for 20 minutes looking for the potting soil and a trowel. The items that I needed were spread all over the gardening area and like items were not grouped together, making it difficult to find what I was looking for. The gate to go outside from the garden area to the parking lot where large bags of potting soil are located, was locked. I waited fifteen minutes for someone to come and unlock it and gave up. I found smaller bags of soil and got more of them, this was frustrating.

I shop here all the time. Its pretty will stocked for groceries. The craft beer selection is better than most grocers in the area. When they run out of something, Ive had the unfortunate task of asking several employees, who dont feel empowered or responsible to find more information. I eventually talked to one employee who said when they are out of something they arent allowed to post a note about when it will be back in stock. The deli counter is usually slow, although occasionally they have a few extra employees to help with that.

I came here to look for some amiibo figurines. I didnt end up finding an electronics section, which is a strange omission. I thought Fred Meyer was a family-friendly store. Unfortunately, this location stocks a variety of deadly firearms. When I went there was no one stocking the counter, leaving dozens of rifles open and unsecured. I dont feel comfortable providing my business to a store thats so cavalier about the safety of its customers, and of society as a whole.

Nothing real special about this place, bought a recliner chair, once I got it pushed back which was difficult into recline position I could not get the leg support to go down. And then it would not lock support it kept kicking out. Not much luck in other depts , used to be able to get gel pens at decent price. Now its hard to find them and the price for what they do have went up..I prefer target for those type of items now..

Its a normal grocery store with good people and they sell everything from guns to camping to fishing to electronics to high end jewelry to furniture and home goods. Its everything you could want a grocery store to be and more. The bathrooms are kept in good conditions. just a side note, the lines are massive on holidays and i mean big even with all their registers open so plan ahead.

Great place for all kinds of needs. The service is great there, however there does seem to be a wait for everything (customer care, self checkout, normal checkout). This place provides for basically everything I may quickly need, be it crafting supplies, deodorant, or a quick milk run. Its great like that, and I appreciate Fred Meyer being here for that.

Good selection of items with reasonable prices relative to location. Ive always had good customer service from the employees at the meat counter and registers. I like the ability to use self-checkout for a few items. Visted weekly for over year. I wish they carried butternut squash ravioli and truffle oil. -mcl
