We go to this store all the time, and have generally been super happy. The floor staff is friendly and has helped us out a number of times. (Hence the "2" star in this rating.) However, we recently bought an appliance and the experience has been a nightmare. They dropped off a dishwasher, but they were very clear that the delivery and installation were separate services. When they dropped it off, they left it in the box and gave me the number to call. I called the number, but my husband and I continued to play phone tag with the service for about 2 weeks--we were also incredibly busy at the time with a sale of a house. We finally got the installation scheduled after 2 weeks, and it was another two weeks before someone was available to come out to our house. When the installers got there, one gentleman took out the old dishwasher (which was still working, but was almost 30 years old), and the other went to uncrate the new one. When it was uncrated, there was a huge dent in the back of the unit, and the installer did not want to put it in because he thought it would leak. So now after all of this, they wont replace the unit because it was in our house too long before the damage was found. We never moved it, we never touched it, we did our best during a highly chaotic time of our life to get this thing installed, and even if we had been able to schedule right away, it would have been in our house longer than 48 hours, which is the time frame they gave to replace it. We essentially paid $900 for a hunk of metal sitting in our garage. They took our old dishwasher, which has broken the function of our kitchen (as anyone with children can understand), and it has been a week now with no resolution. I am being assured that "something will be done" but I have received no follow up phone calls or updates to my inquiries. So with this ambiguity, feeling of being ripped off, and given the run around, I caution anyone to think twice before buying a large appliance from this store. If you do buy one, have them take it out of the box right away and look it over. If there is any damage send it back right then and there. Do not think that everything will be ok because the box looks undamaged and they unloaded it safely off the truck. Unless this somehow resolves itself positively (which I am very doubtful of at this point), we will take our business elsewhere--which is unfortunate because we are living in a "fixer upper" and are in this store several times a month. But one thing is certain, we will not update the rest of our appliances with purchases from this store. This has been one of the worst and most expensive customer service nightmares we have ever experienced.

Ordered Flooring - Never Arrived Ordered LifeProof vinyl flooring at the local Bellevue store. It is not the cheapest, but seemed like a good product for the price. Home Depot advertises that the floor arrives directly from the vendor within a week or less, which is what we needed for our project. I was given a delivery date. I checked back in with the store just to be on the safe side, they tracked the shipment and said it would arrive 3 days earlier. The floor never arrived even a week after placing the order. I called the store and was put on hold by their automated system for 45 minutes, twice, so I called the HD main customer service line. After 55 minutes on hold by the rep that was trying to help me, she found out that the tracking number she was given was not valid. Then she spoke to the vendor that said delivery will happen a full 17 days from the day I ordered since their "freight trucks are slow". She got the Bellevue store manager, Jackie, on the phone who said someone else would get back to me after speaking to the vendor, but was not willing to promise it would happen the same day (even though I called in in the morning). Lets see what happens. At the moment out project is completely messed up since we pulled vanities and toilets in anticipation of the confirmed delivery. If a miracle happens and they come through with a proper solution, Ill update this review. If youve made it this far, you probably know what not to do. Do not order anything from Home Depot that requires dependable delivery dates and customer service. I rarely give a one star rating to a business, but this experience, on top of many in-store service flops, fully deserves it.

Their advice could have KILLED my family: Went to buy a water heater and described my unit to them, because it looked different from the ones they were selling. They told me these would work, but they didnt have the venting at this time that would bend to vent the fumes right outside my wall. I bought the unit and installed it except the venting pipes. Went back the next day and described what I was doing again, and how I needed "L" type pipe to vent outside the wall. Once again they said it wasnt in stock. They suggested I should go to Bellevue Plumbing. So I went to Bellevue Plumbing. Once again described what I was doing again, and how I needed "L" type pipe to vent outside the wall. He was blown away, and told me it was the wrong unit and what I was doing would kill my family. He said I needed a Direct Vent Gas Water Heater. Called up the manufacture and they agreed it was the wrong type of heater. Went back to Home Depot and asked to talk to a manager. Was not a very pleasant conversation, but they finally agreed to take it back. Ended up having to hire someone to reinstall a water heater. Didnt have time or anyone to help me anymore—to lug one into my house. So basically had to pay someone to do what I already did—cost me an extra 1000 dollars. Going to Home Depot for advise—priceless. Or should I say—clueless.

Extremely inefficient front desk staff and very rude store manager. I asked them to open an extra lane or otherwise help me with an exchange as the one open return lane was taken up by a gentleman who was returning over 100 items (not kidding he had two loads full of pipes and plumbing material). I had waited for 15 minutes before I asked. Got a smirky answer from the manager and absolutely no apologies. Rather than loitering around and joking with each other it would have been nice if the staff could actually want to help. I have no idea why anybody would shop here. We were just getting ready for a kitchen remodel and I am pretty sure we wont even be considering this store. I really hope amazon gets into this business and takes Home Depot out. I have had absolutely no trouble buying and returning things from amazon including extremely big furniture (ups picked it up from home for free). Above all I have no idea why people with absolutely no customer service skills are at the front desk. Read the reviews further down you will see a consistent pattern of employees just fooling around instead of helping customers. Seriously why would you want to pay money for that?

Anyone that has a problem with this Home Depot is just plain Ignorant. If you dont have the patience to get help from these busy people, then you should just take your money and hire a General Contractor. You are the people that are seen aimlessly walking around, wondering what to do, trying to figure out why people dont come ask you if you need your hand held, but you dont notice because you have your nose to your smart phone, logged into Google and putting a business on blast. You probably didnt have the fortitude to even ask someone for help, you just sat back and expected someone to come solve your project for you. Again, hire someone and quite wasting everyone else time having to ask you to kindly move aside so they can get their business done, because they actually have a clue. This Home Depot is centered in Bellevue. All the employees are very helpful as well as the place is always clean and well stocked. Im just a home owner but I know the difference when you get help from your local mom and pop shop and the big box stores. This particular store has the staff of a small mom and pop. Very helpful and always ready to take care of your needs.
