As most people know, this is the place for organic foods and for people who have some restrictions like gluten. Me, Im gluten free and so do alot of shopping at Whole Foods. The really do have a large selection of organic foods and they have gotten aware of people with gluten sensitivities as they now stock alot of gluten-free items. As usual, the more specialized the store, the more the cost. For a weeks worth of food for my wife and I, it is not unusual to spend about $200. Of course, we are getting organically raised beef, lamb, and chicken and wild-caught salmon and other fish. Their packaged foods are also best, again if you want organic or higher quality ingredients. They have numerous baked goods that are gluten-free, something unheard of just a few years ago. But as good as I rate this store, I have to mention that Giant Food in McLean has now dedicated two entire isles for organic and health foods, and not low end foodstuffs. In fact, that will be my next review.

Generally good, especially the meat and fish counter. The last time I was there some oil I was buying did not scan. The cashier asked me if I remembered the price, which I didnt, so she got the slowest employee there to go check it. Several minutes later, he returned with the oil having not found it on the shelf, so they just didnt charge me. I cant complain about getting something free, but what a waste of everyones time. And, what do you want to bet the next time someone tries to buy it they have to go through the whole thing again?

Overall very good organic selection. However, consistently out of staple items; organic coffee, organic fuji apples, organic strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple. Bananas almost always too ripe to buy. Every time Ive asked why theyre out of something, their response is "not the season", yet I can find those same "out of season" items at Wegmans. Suggestion: change your management, it is Very frustrating to constantly find that you are out of one or more staple items.

This is one of my favorite Wholefoods and the first I went to regularly - starting in1999! It has a great espresso bar and a full on pub with a bunch of TVs for watching sports. The hot food bar unfortunately is on the mediocre side compared to other Wholefoods in the area - pretty limited selection. Cold food bar is a bit better. Their bakery section is one of the best in the area. Very communal feel in the eating area/pub.

Whole Foods continues to please. For fresh, unique foods for the natural/organic palate WF provides variety, freshness, lots of tastes on the weekend, and excellent prepared foods. The store is a pleasure to shop in and the personnel, whether its the butcher, guys stacking shelves or checking me out, are friendly, witty, entertaining and helpful. A fantastic experience and one that lifts my spirits every time I go.

I usually go to the Whole Foods in Falls Church, VA but this Whole Foods has a LOT of seating near the prepared food area and even has outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Plus, the selection seems to be much more varied at this location in Vienna, VA. The prepared food and salad bar seems to always be fresh. And their fresh cut flowers are always lovely with a wide selection.

The Whole Foods in Vienna on Maple Avenue is definitely going down hill. We noticed that the fresh basil no longer has any flavor. Neither does the baby spinach. However, the event that has us shopping elsewhere was the discovery of a huge bug in the bag of walnuts bought from the bins just a few days ago. Since you can now get organic strawberries at Giant, the choice is clear.

As a traveler and vegan, I rely on Whole Foods hot bar for dinners in many cities. This Whole Foods has a really limited selection of vegetarian, no less vegan, options. Last time I was there, it was steamed broccoli, steamed carrots, steamed mixed squash, and a carrot soup (beside the salad bar, of course). Pretty boring. The WF in Falls Church is much better. Go there.

Good place to run into neighbors. High quality groceries and a fun family friendly bar with wine and multiple craft beers on tap. The hand tossed prepared pizza is one of the best in town. The hot food bar and other prepared food selection is in desperate need of an update. The hot food bar is almost always uninspired and dried out.

We enjoy coming to Whole Foods - for the quality of the food, for the tastings (beer, wine, food, etc.,). But we are disappointed that the "Wine Dinner with John" is not posted on the website. If we dont happen to get to the store soon enough (and it is full up), we miss out. So please add it to your website. Thank you!

Love this Whole Foods location - this was my local WF for 5 years when I lived in Vienna. I still frequent this store since I work close to it now :) the staff is very friendly and a few of them know me and stop by to say Hi if they see me shopping! Parking lot is a bit of a pain - coz it is sooo busy!

This market is well located. It is close to a library so it is a good spot to get coffee or lunch while perusing the books or studying vigorously for an exam. The market is on the smaller side, but there is more than enough parking and items for your needs. The staff is friendly and helpful as well!

If you are not familiar with whole foods it is like most, this one has a filtered water machine where you can get r/o or distilled water per gallon or 5 gallon filled up.(not all whole foods have this) A medium to large store of organics and some conventional all labeled. $$$

A well-stocked and well-run Whole Foods, with the usual great selection of produce, cheese and meat, and healthy foods. Also the prices for which the chain is noted. Biggest negative is very limited parking, which is challenging weekends and major holidays.

I have been visiting this Whole Foods for several years now. It is pricey, but it is the also most convenient way for me to get the organic foods that I desire. Make sure you check out the salad bar. Alot of fresh options there!

In the center of Vienna.busy Amy one of the day and week. Great location for a quick bite or lunch but it also works great for a grocery store. Mainly organic foods and products but still good selection! Great bakery and food bars

Awful place, a struggle every time. Fight for parking, fight through crowds, fight to stay warm because apparently they dont even heat the place, and then pay 3x for your stuff. Save yourself the trouble and find a Trader Joes.

Nice, clean (rather small) Whole Foods in a prime location within Vienna, VA. Salad bar, nice little coffee area. Its across the street from a cute little courtyard where you can catch a summer concert.
