Great night managers, but stay away from the “Site to Store” Service!! 5 Stars to the night managers, who have come to know me as a regular customer, bend over backwards in giving great service. This includes taking returns and exchanges in the middle of the night when the Customer Service dept is officially “closed”. 1 Star goes to the “Site to Store” service which is an unmitigated nightmare. Delivery dates that are meaningless. In my latest experience, an order promised on Thursday didn’t arrive to the store until Friday Morning. That can be forgiven were it not for the fact my order was still lost in a pile of warehouse pallets NINE HOURS later when I attempted to pick it up that night. I tried calling in advance to avoid wasting a trip but either the phone went unanswered or I was subjected to a (no kidding) pick-up-then-hang-up response. The unanswered phones later made sense when I discovered a scheduling problem meant no one was manning the Site To Store desk. The photo lab worker (Jessica) attempted to fill in, but had no real knowledge on how to retrieve my order. Jacob, another employee was very helpful but in the end could not reach the pallet where my order was supposedly buried back in the warehouse. After about 30 minutes to totally clueless frustration, I finally talked with a manager (Tanya) who at least knew what the problem was. “Site to Store” shipments are not kept separate from normal store stock pallets, and are handled only as fast as shelf stock is brought out and distributed throughout the store. While the website promises an availability date, the reality is your order can take *days* longer to actually become retrievable because the store doesn’t have the sense to keep “Site to Store” shipments separate from general warehouse traffic. Truth be told, you can get MUCH MORE reliable delivery by simply having your order shipped to you.

Sept. 12, 2014: This review applies to the Sterling Auto Tire & Lube area only. DO NOT USE THIS AUTO TIRE & LUBE PART OF WALMART. WALMART LOW PRICES = POOR SERVICE THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY REASONABLE PEOPLE. The people who run the cashier & scheduling desk of the Auto Tire & Lube dept. are total idiots, and should be fired. I called yesterday (9-11) to find out the process & pricing for a tire repair, plus 4 tire balancing & rotation. I get to the Sterling store today at 9:30 am, tell them everything I need, give them both my home & cell phone #s. At 9:45 the woman running the cashier & scheduling area of the Auto Tire & Lube dept. tells me it could take UP TO 3 hours. OK, I made an informed decision to shop in the area and basically wait for the car. I checked with them at 12:00 noon (yes - that is 2:15 from when I dropped it off) and ONLY at which time did the same cashier running the Auto Tire & Lube tell me it will take "at least" an additional 2 hours (beyond the originally stated 3 hours) "since they are short staffed". Her brain (if any) did not think to contact customers to let them know about this change. Why bother giving them any phone numbers? These people are either STUPID or LAZY, or maybe a combination of the two. I left this store without completing the services I planned to do for our car today. Based on their totally unprofessional "performance" (a/ka: that is a joke), I do not recommend anyone use that WalMart for Auto Tire & Lube services. These folks are morons!

Walmart pays their employees $10/hour to start as a cashier. More than Target or any other local or national stores. But yet, their employees still dont know much about anything. Maybe now they will be able to retain their workforce and gain some much needed respect IF they can hang on to their workforce. I love the store, always go there as everyone else does. English- yes, that is another problem for walmart. very few people there speakie the englie. They should work on that. I still love the store though. They have nearly everything I need. If a Zombie invasion were to take place tomorrow at noon, id go to walmart because Im sure id be able to fight off the invasion with all the ammo they have, food, water, porta potties, etc. ohh, forgot the 5 years worth of toilet paper. You cant fight a zombie invasion without toilet paper! Id say I could last about three weeks until all of the zombies surround the store and start breaking through the glass. You say three weeks is too long? Nope, zombies dont have much brain power so it takes them a while to figure things out! till next time..........

Over the period of several months, Ive called this Walmart a number of times for product information and, with the exception of one time, have always found the person taking the call to be very, very glib and inept (not always the same person). The person will lose my call, and Im back to a dial tone; the person claims she will connect me with the department I need, but there again, Im left with a dial tone; Ive asked to speak with the store manager, but some how never got to do so...the "old dial tone" game again. This definitely bodes poorly regarding this particular Walmart and its management. If I could drive, Id by all means drive there, however I am elderly and unfortunately, unable to drive any longer. I have been a switchboard operator in my time, and as much as I didnt particularly like it, I knew that I represented the "business" and would be fired for such poor performance. Since I am elderly and can no longer drive, I attempt to make certain that what I need is available prior seeking transportation.

TERRIBLE customer service. I did an online order pickup at this location and will never do so again and suggest the same to everyone. First our order was not ready for 2 days after the estimated pickup date. Second, when i called i was transfered 3 times and hungup on with the employees cutting me off and never allowing me to speak a full sentence. When i finally got a hold of the pickup center the guy i spoke to told me my package had not shipped there yet but i had an email confirming that it had arrived at this location. I then asked to speak to a manager because i was so frustrated and he told me that he could not do that because he didnt know who the store manager was. Finally, i show up to get my order and there are 3 people working pickup but they refused to help more than one person at a time and would not help anyone else, they seemed completely incompetent. It took 45 minutes to get through a 3 person line. And the item was not ready.

Although I respect a workers rights and do not mind they do not speak English, but it is just awful asking for help at this Walmart. If they dont speak English they dont offer to find someone who will help you. They dont offer to take you to find something. They just dont care if you need help. I have asked to get help finding things probably about 10 times in my experience and they just dont help! A fella in the auto service place today had to take me out of his Department to show me where something was! Also, they do not accept used plastic bags anymore! And nobody knows about the store. I asked the man at the door where the box was for recycled bags and he pointed around the corner and when I asked someone else she said they have not it done it for years. I asked lawn and Patio if they were any bikes outside and they said they were all in the store. Upon leaving the store I saw a whole row of bikes outside!
