Didnt buy and still left frustrated. On there website the description said "The paint on this GMC Canyon 1SE SLE Z71 is flawless no scratches, no blemishes, no need to spend extra money on touch ups."- for $7,988 and 116,000 miles, I felt it was worth making the 2+ hour drive. I made contact and told them about how far I was driving. As soon as I walk up to the truck, I was disappointed and knew they took the pictures at the right angle. It wasnt horrible but there were definitely scratches, dings, tear in the seat, some stains, and faded color that wasnt visible in the pictures. But I felt that it was still a decent deal-especially if I could get them to come down a few hundred. Well the passenger window stopped working. I was told it was because it has been sitting for a while. One of the AC power settings didnt work. An ac hose was rubbing against part of the hot engine and began to melt.Their solution-duct tape. The seat adjustment levers were also missing. However,I thought it was still worth the test drive. Those could be cheap/easy fixes-except the window. Well it drove pretty good except for breaking. We could hear and feel some grinding.Rotors? He tells me they are new, then says they may have some rust. I call my dad and friend and they both said that some of his comments dont add up.My buddy tells me to offer $6,000 and try to settle on $6,500. With taxes, tag, etc, I should drive off under $7,000.So I tell the guy my thoughts and concerns and also inform him that Im preapproved and have the check on me.I ask them bottom dollar. He proceeds to come back with a total, out the door price of $9,200!They have a $799 processing fee.Never have I heard of a fee so high.He tells me that the list price of $7,988 was with a discount. Maybe I rely on KBB too much, but $9,200 is over the KBB price. All these other costs I may have to front-no way.He asks what my ball park was and I explain that I was hoping to walk out a little lower than listed price, but after all the concerns,"I cant go over $6,500".(Thinking maybe hell move on his-nope.He says he cant touch that price, so I tell him thanks for his time as my wife tells him "you may want to work on that window. Its starting to rain". There was no offer to fix anything. It just seemed a little shady. And it was frustrating to drive so far to be deceived and not be given the respect of my concerns, or give me the respect to try and negotiate. Minimal effort was given to me. Such a waste of time for me, my wife, and son. By the way, the truck had been there three months already. I can see why. ***Response to owner*** You absolutely misrepresented your vehicle!!And dont act like it was an accident.Your website literally said flawless inside and out!!!!! So I wasnt going off just the photos.Plus it seems you have a history of "DOCTORING" photos. I did do a little research and felt that you did have the Canyon posted for a descent price-that is why I drove so far.But there were too many issues. And I did address them with your salesman. He gave me BS answers. But I took it for a drive anyways, because I had driven so far to look at it and it has been a while since Ive driven a Canyon. When I returned from my test drive, I had to wait over an hour for the salesman to return. And yes-he did see me.I brought up the issues again and he still didnt address them.Never said anything about having your mechanics take a look or anything. So your salesperson wasnt happy to walk around the truck with me.I think he was a little uncomfortable having someone that was as thorough as me.And dont patronize me about it being a 12+ year truck.I know it is.But your website made it sound like it was in mint condition. But thats on me.So yep-I offered $2000 less. That is not unrealistic. You have a ridiculous $800 PROCESSING FEE and I was going to have to front $1000+ in repairs.I would have offered $7000 in not for the fee.I was just trying to leave an honest review.Your response pisses me off!!Your business is SHADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a 2006 Dodge Ram from them about 2-3 months ago. I have since had nothing but problems with this truck. Their sales people are great. Their mechanics... I dont even know where to start. This truck has already had an O2 sensor replaced, the AC unit has had maintenance. I noticed the truck started driving funny immediately after I got the O2 sensor replaced, where I would give the truck minimal gas just to coast and it seemed like the truck would shift up in to a higher gear or something and make this god awful sound. Akin to the vehicle being in 5th gear while going 10mph. Then when I give it more gas it burbles, then almost makes a pop sound and things are fine. I brought the truck back and asked them to look at it. I left it with them for a week while I was out of town and while they were kind enough to give me a loaner vehicle for that time, they did absolutely nothing to fix the issue with way the vehicle was driving. I was so angry while I was driving home that day... I literally couldnt even turn the truck around to bring it back to them, because I refuse to be that customer that starts yelling and screaming at people. From there things only got worse. I live in Arlington, driving to Fredericksburg every weekend isnt an option for me. But now, I find out that the Warranty only pays what they would pay Sullivan Auto if you live within 100 miles of them. So I cant take the truck to an actual dealership or a certified mechanic without expecting out of pocket costs that I wouldnt otherwise incur. The warranty doesnt cover towing. Sullivan Auto wont give me a loaner vehicle. I no longer feel safe driving the truck because the power steering is starting to go, and as of yesterday it started making an extremely high pitch howling sound whenever I touch the accelerator. I called them up and sure, theyll send a tow up to come get it. Thats $100 ish out of my pocket. Plus another $200 for the deductible on the warranty. I now have to arrange my own rental vehicle and get reimbursed for up to $30 a day per 8 hours of labor up to a max of 5 days. Of which has no concern of ordering parts or any other random delays that Im sure are coming. All in all... Im absolutely livid. I dont like being livid. I like being nice and calm, and appreciative. But I am finding that to be incredibly difficult to do right now. I want to like Sullivan Auto. I want to feel like I wasnt swindled. I want to be able to say "Hey friends, this is a great place to buy a vehicle." Right now? I cant say that. Honestly buying this truck was a horrible mistake. I have had buyers remorse since the moment I bought the truck.

Im sure its *really* tough for a "used car" dealer to earn a four or five star rating here on Yelp. There are so many variables, not the least of which is that peoples expectations are sometimes completely out of touch with reality. I went in to Sullivans with my eyes wide open. I knew I had a decent trade., my credit was suspect, and I still owed $3500 bucks on my current ride.......in short, in my mind, there were some limitations to what I could reasonably expect to drive away with. With that said, the experience could not have been any easier. William started processing my reestablished but badly damaged credit before I even arrived (I live 90 minutes from the lot) so when I showed up, he had secured financing (from a prime lender no less) and had his appraiser check my car out within 10 minutes of walking in the door.At that point, he let us peruse every vehicle in the inventory (within our budget) on a very convenient kiosk. Each time we saw something we liked, he handed us keys and threw some temporary tags on the back and let us test drive throughout the neighborhood. I appreciated the trust that was extended as car buying is a big decision. The privacy afforded us was a pleasant surprise and definitely appreciated. We finally settled on a compact SUV and after going through the standard paperwork process (which was relatively painless), we were on our way home. i think the biggest thing for me personally, was their understanding and compassion for people who have made some poor financial decisions at some point in their lives. Im sure its not easy trying to get a loan for someone with blemished credit and its equally as uncomfortable for the customer who has likely been turned down and otherwise been overlooked many times before. The level of honesty, compassion and respect that Will showed was nothing short of astounding Its not something you see a lot of these days. Ive bought/leased/sold many new and used cars in my 44 years and NOT ONCE was the experience this seamless, hassle-free and actually enjoyable! Sullivans has cars and trucks in all years, makes and models with something to fit everyones budget. Car dealers all sell the same thing. Its the attention to detail, personalized approach and superior service that sets Sullivans apart from a very crowded field. I wish this family continued prosperity in their line of work and would not hesitate to send friends and loved ones to their place of business.
