I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased my daughters bed. I was tricked by the location to my house, the seeming knowledge of Alan, the manager, and the quality of the bed. I purchased a great childrens bed at a substantial price, the beginning of December. I was told four to six weeks. It is coming up on March and I still dont have the bed eleven weeks later. I would have been okay with a delay in the delivery, if anyone had bothered to keep up with me to tell me that there was a backorder. Instead, I started calling at the six week mark-- each time I call, no one remembers who I am (there are two people that work there- the owner and the manager) and I get a different explanation for the delay. I went in to cancel the order after eleven weeks of waiting, and I was rudely and aggressively told by the owner, Andrew, that no refunds are given and that I had to wait like everyone else. Then he walked away. I have been told that the bed manufacturer is unresponsive, that it has moved locations, that parts were missing causing the delay, that they would call the manufacturer owner to follow up with me, that it was definitely on the next shipment. Now that I read the reviews here and on yelp, I am right to doubt all of it. No attempt has been made to make me feel like I gave my money to anyone but a jerk. Now I dont know whether to wait another week for a bed that probably wont show or to contact my credit card and issue a fraud investigation. The part that sucks the most is the way the owner treated me directly to my face, in the store, in front of my toddler. I find it unreal to imagine that a small business, located next to a Kmart, who sells beds that range from $700 to $3000, can afford to give up on their customers. No discount was offered, no delivery charged waived, no phone call to track the shipment. After the owner left me standing there, the manager gave me a gift card toward a future purchase, after pregnant and holding my toddler, I started to cry in the store. (Does anyone really expect me to return??) The bed may be awesome, but so is a Little Tikes race car bed, that will cost you $1100 less.

If you are savvy enough to be reading these reviews prior to purchasing at Dinettes and Stools, I congratulate you. I only wish I had been. Stay FAR, FAR away!!! The owner of this business, Andrew, took our order for bar stools, took our $750 deposit, and then NEVER placed the order with the manufacturer. How do I know this? Because after waiting over 14 weeks for our stools, and despite more than (4) phone calls and personal visits to the store, I still had no idea if, or when, I would receive them... so I called the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer (a reputable company that has been in business since 1964), took my information, looked into the matter and told me quite clearly that the order was never placed. So, essentially I floated Dinettes and Stools a $750 loan for over (3) months at 0% interest. I finally went in today, confronted them with what I knew, and they silently gave me the refund. Unfortunately I had not read the numerous reviews on yelp or google that essentially repeat my same pathetic experience--an owner that essentially could care less, gives not one iota of customer service, and now, quite frankly, I find out deals in FRAUD. You might also want to check out the (13) complaints, soon to be (14), filed against the store with the Better Business Bureau. I only wish that I had, and had saved myself a lot of time, grief and aggravation. I simply cannot understand how the doors to this store can still be open. I intend to tell everyone--and anyone-- I know NEVER to step foot into this establishment. Luckily my deposit was made on a credit card, and not a personal check, because I am quite certain that if I had written a check, I would never have gotten my money back, and I would now be filing a claim in small claims court instead of writing this review.

If I could give zero stars I would. I wouldnt even call this a business. The owner of the place is extremely rude and I dont think he can ever run a business, the one employee they have is the only nice guy. I ordered furniture for my son and they told me it would take 2 to 4 weeks, After 4 weeks I called and they said it would be there in 2 days, 2 days later they said the same thing, It has been 7 weeks now. I went into the store to ask the status, Right when I go in the Owner (who took the order and sold me the furniture) didnt remember me at all (considering they dont have business at all and barely any customers) When I asked about the status He rudely said Sir I dont have it, when I get it I will call you, so you can either leave the store now or I will refund your money. When I asked for a direct answer to what was really going on and when I would get the furniture the owner, (older guy, gray hair, glasses) at his screaming voice said "SIR I DONT HAVE IT, IF YOU DONT LEAVE I WILL CALL THE POLICE AND GET YOU ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING" woah there calm down, not sure what happened to that guy. I left kindly, Later I found out they dont have cash flow to run the business, they take customers money and when they finally have enough they order. Thats no way to do business.

I was initially worried about purchasing my daughters bed and dresser from Dinettes and Stools because of the bad review on Google. However, I have to say, Ive had a 100% positive experience. I went in to look at the princess bed for my daughter and the owner was very nice, super knowledgeable and promised to get the bed within 3 weeks before my daughters 3rd birthday party. I went ahead and took the risk and Im so happy I did. Not only did he take care of me, he was able to get me the dresser as well (which I ordered a couple weeks later) in time for the party and even personally came and installed everything. Im very happy with my experience and as far as I can tell, their prices are competitive.

I also should have read the reviews. I had more or less the exact same experience as most of the reviews here. They took my order, I paid cash. They said 6 weeks. That time came and went and I called and they came up with every excuse in the book. Whats worse, they never called me with ANY updates. When I told them that I didnt like it that I never heard anything from them, they young guy told me that NO news is better than BAD news. Seriously? After reading these reviews, I consider myself VERY LUCKY that I actually received my products eventually. The one person who had a positive review here must have been the exception. Youve been forewarned.
