Terrible service, I got to the mall maybe around 7:30-7:35 (not exactly sure) I just spend my time looking some staff around 20 mins when I got my car and going to pay for the parking lot. (I always put my ticket in my car). When I going to pay for the parking within third section it said pay for the credit or debit. I put my ticket in the machine it said put your credit card, yeah I put my credit card but I put wrong side and I fixed it but the gate wasnt responsible and it wasnt open it for me. After that, I reverse my car and asked the lady, she works at the second section. I told her I just pay the ticket in the third section but it wasnt open what should I do. She said I have to go back and tried to pay it again. So I went back and tried to pay for the ticket again. Suddenly I called the official for help me and told him the problem that the gate wasnt open and he said tried to put your credit again and follow the picture what it shows you. Yeah, I followed him but the gate it still not open. Sundenly, he came to me for help and he opened the machine to find my ticket. He asked me what time you came here I said probably around 7:30 or 7:35 not sure. He tried to look over the tickets every single each maybe 15 mins. After that he said he couldnt find my ticket. I was surprise how he couldnt find my ticket. I told him again I sware I just put the ticket but doesnt care and not listen to me. I very disappointed one more thing that the way he spoke to me it very really bad manner. He tried to blame at me that I dont have any ticket because I lost it and the way he talked to me likes yelling at me. I told him how many time I just put the ticket in side that machine! But he wasnt listen to me. I dont care how much you want me to pay I can pay that. But the way that guy who work as supervisor talked to me so horrible! I asked him this is my fault? He said yes this is my fault for lose the ticket! The way he spoke to me very badly he never said to me "sorry mam I could find your ticket so sorry about that" very very dissapointed this guy how could he survice to the customer and speak to the customer like this. Please be considering that guy and need to be manner and improving his behavior! I very dissatisfied about for today!!

The picture I posted (of the crumbled building, which used to be much of Balston Commons) is a pretty neat shot, I think, of what the mall generally is right now. Ive always found shopping malls rather depressing--and, hey, even before this one was being torn down, it was, seriously, the *most* depressing mall I can recall visiting. But, I hope that after the renovations, itll be pretty cool. I hear that its being made into more of a shopping district, in which all the stores (or almost all?) can be entered from the sidewalk. Thatll be much better. Well see what kinds of businesses are attracted, though. Supposed to be completed in 2018---but it seems theres a *whole* lot of work to be done before even the end of 2018.

Ballston Mall is known for being one of the worst malls in the DC area. This mall really isnt worth visiting if you are looking for high end or decent clothing stores. This is an "errand" mall in my opinion. You are able to get your cell phone repaired, buy last minute gifts from Macys, find good deals at Macys or Victoria Secret, get a quick meal, get a haircut or go to the movies. The parking is $1 for up to 3 hours or so. People generally come here for the movie theater (which is okay, nothing special), the Sports and Health gym, Victoria Secret, Macys, Macys furniture, bed bath and beyond and radio shack. This mall has a lot of potential so I hope better stores move into it.

We love the Ballston Mall. The food court has enough places to satisfy even the largest group of people. The ice rink is amazing and great to pick up your Capitals gear. With parking just $1 for 3 hours it also makes it one of the most convenient places to park and take the quick metro ride into town if you want to branch out. Noodles and Co. and Rock Bottom are great, the barber shop did a great job cutting my hair and of course the GIANT Christmas tree they put up in December is awesome. A great mall that doesnt deserve all the nasty comments.

So..... depressing. I came in around 8:30pm on Tuesday and I saw a total of 10 people (including mall employees). The food court is currently under renovations along with what looks like 90% of the rest of the mall. There was barely any lighting and Im not even sure what was actually opened besides the Macys, CVS and Auntie Anns Pretzels .... maybe Regals and the Ice rink? I saw a couple walk in, look around and then immediately turned around to leave.

Intended to be a hot spot for shopping, this mall quickly became known as the "Whisper Mall" because no one ever went to it. Theyre currently renovating the whole thing. Hopefully it will come back with a better, more friendly design. Also, the whole "Ballston: Where Science Meets Innovation" sign on the back with some robot holding a dove makes me cringe every time I look at it. The intent was good, but its just kinda stupid. Please remove it.

Interesting mall with a few key stores but it still manages to get the job done. It has the essentials like Macys and Victorias Secret. It has a lot of vacant space, thankfully the movie theater in the mall helps to revitalize the space. A new plan for Ballston is also exciting and redevelopment of several key nearby sites adds excitement to the area.

This shouldnt even be considered a mall. Only one clothing store, Macys. The building also hosts a movie theatre, gym and a suit and tie businesswhich rented out space. It lists a CVS on the directory but neglects to mention you have to leave the "mall" to get there. Everything from the name to the store map is confusing. Worst waste of time yet.

When the mall was still standing, it had a rundown feeling. Currently, its undergoing gentrification renovations. What used to be an indoor mall will now be open. There are only a few things still open here, including CVS, Macys, the Iceplex, and Regal Cinemas. Due to construction, its hard to navigate, so take care when traveling here.

This mall is really starting to be a ghost town as most of the storefronts and food court are closed down as they are getting ready for a major 3 year long renovation project. The only places that are still open are Sport and Health, Macys and the Regal Movie Theatre. The mall is super clean and well organized and maintained.

Ballston Mall is now closed except for Macys and a few other tenants. The owners plan to convert it to an "open" mall, which I think is crazy. Demolition has started, so it is too late to protest. Personally, I dont care for open malls where I am exposed to the heat or the cold. The mall is expected to re-open in 2018.
