I ran in to purchase a couple bags of premium "Blue" brand cat food. I typically buy enough to last for 5 months. When I got around to opening the third bag I noticed a torn section that had been repaired with tape. Why on earth would these people take a damaged container, repair it, and place it back on the shelf for sale with all of the undamaged packages??? As a damaged container the product inside is no longer viable as "NEW" and should have been removed, discarded and written off as a loss, but these cheap sons of bitches didnt want to lose the revenue so they passed it off on an unsuspecting consumer......YOU PEOPLE ARE CHEAP AND UNPROFESSIONAL. ILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!

This petco is DISGUSTING. I went there today to look at the lil critters and fish, one of their tanks was literally full of dead fish floating everywhere, with a few living fish having to swim through their friends/family corpses. I know they are "just fish" but they are pets too. You wouldnt want to see puppies having to crawl around a bunch of dead puppies. Its inhumane to do that. A few tanks over, a dead fish stuck to the filter with its head chopped off, hanging by a thread. This is NOT something a customer wants to see. I tried to let a worker know that there were dead fish everywhere/a fish with its head cut off, and he seemed mad that I had pointed it out and didnt care.

Bought a few fish, and asked an employee twice if a certain fish would be okay with the others we were purchasing. She said yes it would be fine with the others. It ate 5 of our other fish along with a fish that was a long time pet. I looked up the fish that I was sold that was supposed to be "okay" with the other fish and every website that came up immediately said that the fish was "highly aggressive". I feel like the employee should have known that. They also wanted us to bring back the dead bodies of the fish. But, I was refunded and one employee was very very nice, as well as the employee who sold us the fish in the first place.

We had a horrible experience at this store. The service is never quick. You ask for help and then you wait. This time, we asked a guy for assistance in the fish department. He was working on the aquatic plants and responded in the affirmative he would assist. He then walked away and left us standing there. He didnt come back. We left the store and will not be back. We will take our business to Pet Works in Astoria. This has one star simply so I can post this as you cant review without hitting at least one.

Most everything is overpriced but there are incentives earned with each purchase and theres a very liberal returns policy. Petco has great personnel. Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic; very nice folks. B+ on grooming. However, Annie doesnt care; she hates anything that includes a bath!
