I love to support charity thrift stores. Went to St. Vinnies with my sister. We were shocked and appalled by the ridiculous prices. Appears that they may receive donations of household decor items from a retail store. Examples: shopworn large candles for $19.99, a sand dollar deco for $34.99, a small particle board paper/bill holder for $44.99, a deco (made in China) lantern for $64.99, a beat-up vintage wooden chair for $149.99. After seeing the crazy prices, we understood why there were only 2 other people in the store! I know St. Vincent de Paul helps people of any faith, and I greatly respect all they do. There is nothing charitable about the pricing in their thrift store. The average person thrifting for affordable items to furnish their home or clothe their family cannot afford these prices. They can find similar quality items for 1/4 to 1/3 of the price at stores like Ross, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. Even Hobby Lobby beats their pricing. I have seen this high pricing trend at St. Vincent stores in several states, but none compared to the ridiculous prices at this location. I hope they wise up and start pricing reasonably. Their store is stocked with some nice items, but they arent moving. One would think they would want to sell items rather than keep them sitting around.

There a couple things that set apart this thrift store. First, they have the best selection of books of the thrift stores in the area. Second, they will give you a coupon for 20% of one full price item with a donation. And thirdly, their prices are actually very reasonable. Clothing is arranged by size instead of simply by gender. So the small pants, shirts, and sweaters are in one area and the medium in a second, and so on. They have a nice selection of clothes, something furniture, and fewer housewares, but its worth shopping!

To those that have said "a bot pricey" Have you shopped at Goodwill lately? Now thats pricey!!! This store is awesome and I find their prices very reasonable especially the clothes @Sandra Smiggs, please tell me where you can find $4.99 for pants, shirts etc? of course I know, at a yard sale so go do your runs there perhaps cause you certainly seem to want something for free.

Got several dresses and some cute shoes, all in good shape at fairly decent prices. A little spendier than somewhere like Goodwill, but it is like paying a little extra to go to Target instead of Wal-Mart.

One girl follows me around and hoover s when I try things on even after counting how many items I have. I spend ALOT of money in this store, alot to be treated as a thief.
