Cycle Country has been a great experience in my times of need. I have been to this store only a handful of times as I am four hours away, but I have very good experiences that are worth sharing I recommend others to at least give Cycle Country a visit for themselves. My first experience with Cycle country was when I was coming through Salem and I had a rear tire go on me. Luck was on my side, they had a tire in my size and got me in and back on the road extremely quickly. I was able to make it home with only a small delay. Thank you to the service team, you saved my day. Another excellent experience was when I decided I should replace my current helmet. I used the website contact email address and within a day I was contacted by Connor. I was interested in helmets that they didnt carry, but Connor had done research before calling me. Connor was kind enough to call other dealerships/motorcycle gear shops and find some in Portland that I could go to that had stock. This was amazing service to me, he simply could have said "no, sorry, and good luck". After traveling to Cycle Country, I was greeted by Staci and she spent some time fitting me properly to a few options. Staci spent time showing me the products, giving her unbiased opinions of the many selections that would probably work best for my current touring bike. After selecting a helmet, she offered to help with the installation of pin lock and communication systems in the helmet. Since I was traveling in a car, I hadnt actually brought my gear to move over, but she offered advice on installation as well as letting us know that it was okay to call with any questions. Staci and Connor, thank you for your time spent, I truly appreciate it. It might not seem like much, but Salem, you folks are so very lucky to have a shop like this. I will gladly ride the four hours the next time I am looking for gear again, the kindness and peppiness of the employees just really puts you in the mood to go riding. If you want to just talk about Moto GP, these guys seem to have a great time discussing that too, the pure joy you can see it bring them was inspiring! I can see why folks would want to work here, and this is how they have earned my continued financial support.

Beyond the best bike shop in Salem and the surrounding areas! I took my bike to the dealership i originally bought it because it was the closest Yamaha shop around and had terrible service to the point things were not working that were before. I went to Cycle Co Preston M Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more untry here in Salem as it is close to my house and figured they couldnt do any worse. I arrived on a Sat, which is first come first serve, so I got there about 45 min early to wait in line. About 15 min before they opened shop I was invited to bring my bike back and they set up my service BEFORE THEY WERE OFFICIALLY OPEN! That never happens... anywhere! I explained I could wait the 15 min for them to open and the service manager, I believe he was, said not to worry and they would get me set up. when i came back they notified me that my chain needed replaced and showed me why back in the shop area. Even after fixing everything I had gone in for they noticed my bars were a bit off, a result of the Yamaha shop I went to. They replaced my chain then fixed my bars for free! They just did it knowing that it could be a possible hazard for me the rider without asking to be charged. Even though I have a bike which brand they do not sell, they always give me ideas and help maintain my bike as if it was one of their personal bikes! To all the people in the maintenance shop, you guys are the best I have ever done business with! Thank you thank you thank you! --update-- Took my bike in again for an oil change and chain maintenance and as I expected... My bike was lined up and waiting for the service technicians to come in for the day and it was done and ready before I was! Always excellent service when I come in and by now they even know me by my bike. Cant think of a better shop to take my bike in for service. Thanks guys you are the best!

The sales people were nice and I had no issues with them. They said they had great financing options and we told them what we could afford and they said it would take just a little while for their finance manager to get back to us. 5 hours later we had no information and every time we asked a question to any sales person they say "Oh our finance manager would know that but she’s busy right now and gets mad if we interrupt her". Five days later, after many phone calls and being told the same line about their finance manager always being busy, we finally go in to sign papers for the bike only to find out that they need yet more information from our insurance company. When I asked why their finance manager didn’t call us to ask about this information before we drove there we were told, “She doesn’t call customers.” When I finally go in to see this finance manager who refuses to talk to customers, she outlines a loan that has payments that were more than we said we could afford with a larger down payment than we wanted to make. She had six days to call us and let us know what kind of financing she found for us and when I asked her why she didn’t call us, she said “oh that’s more of a sales person thing to do, I don’t call customers”. She was a terrible person to be around, she refused to take our calls or talk to us at all, and not a single other person who works there was willing to ask her anything for us. What if we weren’t able to come up with the extra money? We would have wasted most of a week and still left with no bike. Their service and sales departments have really nice people working in them but I wouldn’t ever recommend financing anything through them until they get a new person in that position.

Had a bad experience here. Came in to buy a bike at noon. By 2 had filled out all paperwork to do financing. At 7pm (yup, 5 hours later), they tell me they cant get things done (banks closed). Had a buddy come in and buy a bike while I was there, and he was there 7 hours as well. They might be fine on another day, but if its a Saturday in spring, you couldnt pay me enough to go back. Ive literally bought a house in less time. I went in for a bike listed on craigslist with their name on it for 3900. They add fees to up that back up to about 4500. Worse off, even the 3900 price on that bike was mediocre at best, and about 500 more than any other of the same bike on craigslist otherwise. So to already be priced like its coming from a dealership, then add 500 in fees, then have the single slowest customer service Ive ever seen was just sad. The sales guy I had said he was new, and he really did seem like a nice kid, but whomever he was bringing my paperwork to, who was supposed to be getting things taken care of might have well not been there for all the impact they made. Its not a sales guy problem, it was clearly a process/bureaucracy problem. Ive seen a few google reviews with the same 5+ hour time waste, so Im led to think I might not be alone in this. That said, prices on helmets were cheaper than elsewhere Ive seen around here, so after I went and bought a better bike for a better price the following week elsewhere, I did return to buy a helmet. Id buy parts there, but nothing that involves going through the black hole that is whatever administration the place has.
