Its been a while since I have felt the need to write a review but this weekend I was in a bit of a bind and the team at batteries plus went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. I drive a custom lowrider and had an issue with my front end losing power to the solenoids. I was able to trace the problem to a bad ground wire but since I was far from home I did not have any of the tools to fix the wire. Sounds simple right? I went to a couple of auto parts stores where one of them is located in the same parking lot and I had to buy the wire and connectors. Sounds fair. But I tried to keep from purchasing tools to fix the problem since I already have the tools at home and unfortunately the auto parts store was not able to loan me the tools to complete the job (wire strippers, crimpers, and a lighter for the heat shrink tubing). I understand it is a business and its not their responsibility but just a couple of weeks before this happened I had to purchase 5 new batteries amongst other things at this auto parts store and I was hoping I could get a helping hand with a quick tool loan. The guys at BATTERIES PLUS however not only were able to loan me the tools but the manager came out to my car, fixed the wire the right way with solder and shrink tubing. He also tried to use a volt meter to inspect the system to make sure it did not have any other problems. They did not charge me anything!! Even when I asked how much I owed them they just said that it wasnt a big deal and that there was not charge. I am not impressed because they gave me free work as much as Im impressed that they not only did it but also did it with complete professionalism as if I was paying top dollar for a professional repair. Thanks again. Now me and all of my car club friends know where to go the next time we need batteries or any form of accessories they provide.

The first time I came here last summer the customer service was great. Today it was the kind of service that drives a company out of business. I arrived shortly after 5:00 p.m. for a broken iPhone screen and the clerk made every excuse in the book why he could not repair it before they close at 6:00 p.m. even though there were no repairs ahead of me, another clerk was also on duty, there were almost no other customers, and a screen replacement normally takes less than 20 minutes. I was perfectly prepared to give the business $120+ of my hard-earned money, but it was like the worker did not want the business to succeed and so he made every excuse he could think of: "What if someone else comes in?" "What if two people come in?" "What if I get interrupted?" "We close at 6:00. What if we get a rush?" "We need to get the store ready for closing." "The intake alone will take ten minutes." Finally, after trying to help the clerk to be solution-focused and open to helping a customer, it felt like I was in a bad movie scene and so I finally left after 16 minutes--ironically, the amount of time it would have taken to replace the screen approximately. Rather than waste my time trying to convince someone to do his job, I will just head up to the Apple store at Bridgeport Village for the repair. It will take 40 minutes longer roundtrip, but at least it wont be a wasted trip.

Be careful when you deal with these people. I bought a battery off the website. The website is easy to use and get around and the price was good for the battery. A banner headline on the website advertises free battery install however is fine gray print is the caveat on only participating branches. Nowhere on the local branch website was there a statement that there is a $ 20 install charge. The branch employee seemed obviously annoyed that he had to take the time for the install. Was not given any information on a warranty for the battery nor the forms for a mail in rebate. Had to make a return trip to the store to get the forms which the employee could not initially find even though there was a stack of them next to the cash register. The employee did not know how to fill out the form and had to ask another employee who was annoyed as well. The whole trip involved waiting in the store for 15 minutes for something that should have been properly handled at the time the battery was installed. A year or so ago the branch was noted as improperly handling battery returns and recycles. I wonder if their ethics and commitment to customer service has changed or remains the same.

These guys are the best. I thought the battery in my tablet was bad, so I went in and they had to special order a new one for me. The battery only lasted a day so I took my tablet back in and they spent over an hour working on it trying to find out what was wrong. Ed checked the charging cable, checked the battery, they checked everything possible trying to make sure it wasnt really my tablet that was shot. When it was clear that it really was the tablet, they refunded the money for the battery that had been special ordered. Thats unheard of. I will definitely be going back to them for any battery needs and I highly recommend them to everyone. Just a side note, I had already ordered a new battery from Amazon Market Place, it lasted about a week. I had to just recycled it because I couldnt get a refund from them. It might sound pretty dumb looking for a second new battery, but I had gotten a bad laptop battery from Amazon before, so I assumed the same thing it happened again.

1/4/17 Today I went to this store to look at buying LED bulbs for my garden because as I was walking by i saw a sign in the window referring to them and Ive been shopping around looking. I walk into the store with my SERVICE DOG Abby and had my service rejected because I refused to leave her outside...... not just that but when I explicitly said that she was a service dog he (who I can only assume was either the owner or the manager) then questioned me with a distrustful and (to me) disrespectful look of annoyance. On what service she provides me. So I answered and was again told that I would have to leave her outside... Ill never go to this store again.... honestly I wanted to call my lawyer that vary moment.. I probably should still but against my better judgment Im leaving this instead..... to all service animal owners beware of this store....

Experience was simple. I shopped online, found the batteries (required 2 truck batteries) I needed in stock. Made a trip to the store to double check pricing, etc. Everything confirmed, went home, purchased the batteries, received my discount for purchasing online and an extra bonus discount that I caught in-store, which wasnt suppose to be but they honored it , thank you. My only recommendation would be to the person that helped me that day, do not correct mistakes made by employees in front of a store full of customers!!
