I hope I caught Mr. Blizzard on a bad day. I went up to look at a 2005 BMW 545 and was initially pleased with what I saw. While looking it over I noticed a little oil seepage on the alternator which is typical for the 545. I decided I wanted to have a pre-purchase inspection conducted before moving forward. Ed at Blizzard was very accommodating and allowed me to take it to a local BMW specialist shop who did the inspection for me. They found that the valve cover gaskets, the lower oil pan gasket, and the "gasket to nowhere" behind the alternator needed to be replaced. Additionally, the car had 76,000 miles on it so it was approaching the point where it needed to have the water pipe O-ring replaced. All of this work was quoted at $3,400 (and this didnt include the front tires that literally had chunks coming off of them. When I returned to Blizzard with my findings I spoke with Ed and he said Doug was there so Doug came down. Right from the time he sat down I knew it wasnt going to be a pleasant experience. Perhaps it was the fact that Im a young adult, or that I arrived in an older diesel Jetta. Whatever it was, he did not come across as a person interested in earning my business. He had a meeting to get to, which I can understand. However, rather than just telling me that and saying "lets talk later" he acted like I was being a bother to him. He kept saying how he had a meeting to get to and was very dismissive. When I told him what I was thinking for price, which I thought was an appropriate place to start negotiating considering the work that was required. Instead of working with me on price and negotiating, he said that he would call me if something else came in. He didnt look at the price any more until I ASKED HIM if he wasnt interested in discussing price any more. After mentioning his meeting and complaining about his internet and computer not working he finally got around to telling me what the price was that he could do, and let me tell you, it was nowhere near appropriate considering the work that the car needed. At that point it became evident that this was one of those dealerships that makes cars look nice and waits for people to come along that dont know what they are looking at. Im glad I had a pre-purchase inspection done because if I didnt I would have had a hefty bill on my hands and Mr. Blizzard would have sold another mediocre car leveraging the fact that it was a one owner, 76,000 mile car. Sorry I wasted your time Mr. Blizzard. At this point I am still scratching my head as to how you have all of those "integrity" awards sitting in your office. You lost the opportunity to make a cash sale. Bottom Life: Be a smart and educated consumer if you decide to work with this dealership. Get an inspection done.

I went in there all armored up expecting to deal with the typical used car salesman. When I got there I was completly surprised and baffled. First I was not attacked as soon as I got on the lot and steered toward cars that they were pushing. I had the Blue Mercedes SLK in mind when I got there and was asked if I wanted to see it. They showed me the car inside and out and had all the details and the history of the car, so in about 10 minutes I had a clear understanding of the cars history, features and cost. This was all within the first half hour that I was there. I then talked to Doug and told him what I had to trade but didnt have with me at that time. He said that it was ok and he would just get the information and give me a ballpark on what to expect with the trade. We then negotiated a mutual price, shook hands and it was pretty much a done deal. Doug asked if I was going to get financing through a credit union or if I would be going through him. I was good for financing at my bank so I went and got my loan. There were a few minor issues with the car and he said that he would take care of it before I picked up the car. It took two days to get my financing complete and brought in the trades for him to evaluate and everything checked out and we went in to do the paperwork which literally took about 20 minutes and I had keys in hand. The car was ready waiting for me to drive it off the lot! There was alot of interest in this car but Doug would not let people look at it after we had our handshake deal (I had nothing down on the car). I was very impressed with the whole experience and would whole heartly recommend Blizzard motors to anyone looking for a car. Thanks Doug for the great experience and I will definatly be back for any other vehicles that I will be looking to buy.

Saw a 2004 BMW 5 series on the Blizzard Motors web site with very low miles and 6-speed. Was very intrigued because it looked almost brand new. So, even though I live (way) out of state, I called and talked to Doug. Quickly came to a very fair deal and he readily agreed to an independent inspection. Except for a few relatively minor problems, the car was as pristine as advertised, and Doug had even those little items fixed without any question. Got it home after long-distance purchase and my independent BMW mechanic was very impressed at the excellent condition. Based on my experience, I can highly recommend Doug and his dealership. Fair, very personable, and excellent service every step of the way.

From start to finish including test driving, trading in my vehicle and buying the car that I loved, Doug was just exceptional! From our first meeting I knew he was just a great and trustworthy person. He is extremely well read in the top notch imports he sells and in simple conversation was able to tell me at which thousand mile mark my car would need a timing belt - none of the "Let me check the service manual" business, he just knew. If you want a great looking, well built import that drives as superbly as it looks, see Doug. I will definitely refer him to friends time and time again. Hes just that incredible!

Doug has changed my whole attitude on "Car Salesman" because he makes it fun to buy a car. My husband and I went to Blizzard to help a friend of ours look at a beautiful SL500. While my husband was out test driving it, I happened to see a ML 500. I thought about keeping my SL500 and waffled for about a month. He let me make up my mind on my terms without pressure and I finally traded it in. We could not be happier with our vehicle. When we had a few problems, he handled it and made it good. Thanks Doug! You are the best!

I have purchased many cars over the past 25 years and have visited many large and small dealerships. My experience with Blizzard Motors ranks up with the best of them. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Doug and will recommend Blizzard Motors to family and friends. They made the entire process smooth and stress free and really worked hard to compete with others trying to get my business. I will certainly be back for more purchases as they have earned my business and loyalty. Thanks again and I love my Jaguar.
