its an odd shaped layout so its difficult to find things @ 1st. i mainly avoid malls but went here for eye exams for the price, and one trip they spaced out and kept my credit/debit card then i had to go back. then the utility saddle bag off of my bike got stolen on the second trip from where it was locked up... made me remember why i avoid these large places in eugene. they would always have security trucks driving around the parking lot, so it made me wonder what was going on there??? then you hear about all of the thefts @ the other mall, gateway... another time i went here the young women selling things @ the walkway stores would stop me and try to get me to buy sh!* i didnt need.... made me remember why i sometimes avoid these large generic chain places. if you find a staple that you need/like from lets say a sporting goods store, its usually cheaper to find it online. i ate at the food court years ago in the early 2000s but can remember anything @ all about the food... makes me remember why i avoid these large places in eugene

The mall is good, but the best thing is that when I come to Eugene 3 or 4 times a year I can park my RV for two nights. The RV parking area is excellent being near the river and bike path. Security guards are frequent and very polite. I would suggest putting in a dozen electric outlets, charging 20/night (with approved credit card) and allowing up to a week per paid spot. RVers would love it, they have more discretionary spending ability than most people and like going into the mall and it would make security even better. . Diversification and audience attraction is necessary for bricks and sticks businesses as Amazon continues to destroy the old models of retail.

Valley River Center is a great place to shop if you need something right now, or just feel like browsing.. if its daytime and decent weather, drive over to the southwest side of the parking lot, and take a walk across the pedestrian bridge (over the Willamette River) to Skinners Butte Park. Theres playground equipment, park benches, and picnic tables, and you can meander down the sidewalk along the river. Take the trail up the hill and have a nice view of downtown Eugene. Head west on the river sidewalk to Owen Rose Garden, and back to Valley.River neighborhood for dinner. Theres several restaurants in the $/ $$$ price range.

Valley River Center has an ample supply of shops. The indoor shopping experience is nice, especially with the rain in Eugene. The food court used to be clean and well-maintained, but as time goes on it seems to be on the ransacked side. There are people who clean, but the cleaning staff cant keep up with the busy dining room. The selection of foods are good, with the different shops in the food court area. The theater is clean, with a friendly staff. A good selection of good, new films are available. Easy bus access and many other stores close by.

Malls are in decline, including this one, thanks to online shopping. Its depressing to watch. Its ironic, really. I used to loathe the affect malls had on the vitality of downtown spaces. Now many inquisitions like Macys are actually returning to downtown areas. Its a great thing! But meanwhile we get to watch malls, already sad and vacant spaces, become even more sad and vacant. You might be better off shopping at Oakway or downtown and going to movies at gateway or the Bijou.

Valley River Mall is the more upscale and accessible of the two local malls in the Eugene/ Springfield area. The shops are varied, clean and most of the venue spots are full. The theater is top notch and plays all the big names for a reasonable ticket price. The only minor Con to Valley River is that it draws a wealthy crowd and seems to capitalize on that fact with generally higher prices. All in all a great place to spend a buck or five hundred.

Was at the Orange Julius Place today at the mall ~~~ They took left over drink and just blended it some and gave it to me !!!! :( I refused it and asked for a fresh one and they would not make it ~~ There policy is to use leftovers : ( You dont know how long it was setting on the back counter it wasnt even cold. I got my money back and will never go there again. That is a good way of getting sick and for $4.25 it should be made fresh.

I like valley river mall for its pretty lights and colors but I cant say I love it. I can go to springfield for a cheaper movie, and I dont have to fight a crowed to do it. I also dont have to plug my nose whenever I go past two very perfumed stores, if I opt for springfield instead. Sure valley river does have more stores that relate to me, but most of the time I find I can get things for the same quality cheaper in springfield.

Descent Shopping Mall overall. I cant say its the best Shopping Mall out there yet it has descent food choices and stores. It was clean and well kept. I like it has different places for the kids to play and places to take breaks. It has a movie theatre attached and so when traffic is good its fairly easy to get in and out of. The location is awesome right next to the Willamette River and huge park which I liked having close by.

Its expensive and they close too early, but its the only real mall left now that Gateway is going down the tubes. Oakway is a better area to shop in, but thats not the point. They have a Wetzels Pretzels and the best damn movie theater Ive ever seen in a Mall by far (IMAX for the win) but this isnt an every week mall unless youre extremely well-paid and have free time in the middle of the day.

Its a mall - stores seem to be targeted to young adults and teens mostly with anchor stores catering to the family, sporting goods, or movies like any other mall. However bathrooms are decent, and parking is freely available most of the time (except Christmas rush). Food options are limited in the mall, but there are plenty of near by options for anyone for any craving (except fast food).

Rob, the mall manager, is a disgrace. Hes rude and arrogant and talks to people as if they are less of a human. Nobody who is employed by the mall in any way has any respect for him as he treats people like garbage. FYI telling mall employees, and I quote "he looks like a homeless person who just crawled out from under a bus" Is rude and unprofessional you judgemental failure.

This mall is fine -- but dont bring your kids! The co-location of the childrens play area and Victorias Secret make it as un-kid-friendly as possible. I dont know what they could do to make me less inclined to bring my family back. I suppose if there were a downed telephone pole in front of the store, then I would be less inclined, but outside of that, I cant think of anything.

Single worst mall I have ever visited or worked in. Filthy bathrooms, many empty storefronts, the food court sucks and the mall staff is horrible. They have cut their cleaning staff 50% in the last month but they have hired more fat ass Paul Blart mall cops to mean mug customers and employees alike. Truly the worst run mall in Lane Co if not all of Oregon. Seriously
