After going to my doctor I decided to pick up a Birthday gift for my Dad who is a proofessional photoghrapher. Upon entering the store I was immediately followed. Two employees were inches behind me as I was browsing the display. I noticed a bestbuy Security person in yellow staring at me at the same time. I went downstairs and he immediately followed me downstairs. He then stood at the end of the aisle as if I wouldnt notice him I tried getting some help with the cameras, I ran into a female employee who claimed she specialized in that department. When I asked her what was the difference between the Sony camera and the Canon the only thing she could tell me was the were old and not very good. No information on their features specs nothing. She said if you want a good camera buy the Nikon which was about $500 once again I compared it to another brand and all she said was the Nikon is "old school". I ended up getting the Nikon not based on what she said but after a careful comparison where the specs were almost identical. The Nikon was $50 less. I also applied for a Bestbuy card, there was a fraud alert on my credit so she had to call Bestbuy credit. While standing there I was approached by 2 security one was the guy following me from the very point when I entered the store. The sales manager Schemleck aprroached me and asked if everything was okay. I told him I had breakfast and its a sunny day. He then asked me to leave the store, when I asked why? He stated that their employees felt threatened by me. I was unarmed and in no way threathing. I refused to leave the store until I had completed my purchase. After my purchase I spoke to Mr Schemleck who seemed as though he was drinking and needed a Sobriety test. After my speech he didnt have anything else to say and became mute. I left the store and filed 2 complaints Which is still under investigation. No more shopping at this Bestbuy for me, I might leave there in a body bag Good buy to loony land!

This store is like a Circuit City from the late 90s disguised as a Best Buy. It is like the company became too smug that they beat the competition, so they hire the most incompetent people ever and dont care about customer satisfaction. The staff are a fine example of why you should go to college and get an education so you can get a real job. Unhelpful, and Ive seen some staff members playing with the video games instead of helping customers. Others, acted as if they were children running around on a holiday. I wandered that store for a good hour trying to get someone to help me. AN HOUR. Not one person would help me. I seriously want to know what theyre being paid to do. Stock shelves? I dont think so. Popular releases arent even put on the shelves months after their release date. I even went back a second and third time to make sure this wasnt a fluke with the staffs behavior. Nope. It is basically a zoo for self centered incompetents with no people skills or knowledge of retail. The store is designed in such a way that an adult cannot fit past another adult walking through aisles. Some sections are just crammed to the point you dont want to purchase items you want in that section. The fact that it is near Times Square, attracting the most rude and disgusting tourists, doesnt help either. Youd think being near Park Avenue and Madison Avenue business types meant that the place would be a little more dignified in demeanor and design. Nope. The only redeemable value I can see for this place is that you can window shop for products on Amazon. At least with ordering online, I dont have to have some unintelligent imbecile giving me attitude at the checkout register. Horrible, just horrible. I dont have a thing with all Best Buys. Heck, I love Best Buy, but this one... good Lord. Stay away.

Yesterday I went into Best Buy with a phone I was having issues with. A member of geek squad was able to help me, but the solution was to swap out my phone in store. He walked me over to Best Buy Mobile and told me there would be no cost to swap for an s8, but the store had none. I had to pay to upgrade to the s8+! We initiated a smart switch at the Samsung counter, but it said it would take an hour+ to complete. I told them I would come back if they would definitely keep an eye on the phone, and they assured me that would be no problem. This process took an HOUR, so I told them when I would be back and informed them that I would not have much time. When I returned to the store a little over an hour later, none of the same people were there, and no one knew where my phone was! They were searching and searching. I had to ask for a Manager who went to go find someone to ask. After about 10 minutes, they located my phone and had to start another activation process. The entire time they couldnt find my phone, the Manager never expressed any concern or apology. I told her I found this experience extremely unprofessional, and her response was call the 800 number. Before leaving, I told the Best Buy Mobile rep that several co-workers had mentioned gift cards and free accessories when they got an s8 from Best Buy, and the rep told me "I should have taken that up with the original person who helped me." (Who was no longer there.) This was a nightmare experience! I expected a much more trained and professional environment.

If you want poor customer service, do not come to this best buy (or any other one) because they wont even give you that. The workers there are not paid based on commission so they could really care less about customers. I went in there very confident that I will get a laptop that I saw online. As I was browsing through the laptop section, no one offered me help even though there were 3-4 workers standing in a circle a few feet away just on the computer and talking. I finally approached one of them and asked where I can find the laptop I was looking for. He didnt seem at all happy or approachable. He lead me to where the laptop was and left immediately. After that, I made eye contact with SO many other workers who were walking around and even then no one came. A few days later, I went to go check on a status on an order. The customer service representatives were NOT at all approachable and looked so unhappy to be there. Best buy is just horrible in general. I ordered a laptop that was suppose to get here a week ago and ever since then I got emails saying its delayed, back-ordered or that its in Louisville, Tennessee and to pick it up there. Absolutely horrible.

I went in the store to purchase a lenevo laptop on sale. It was sold out in my area so I called this store 2 times to make the SKU # and they have it available. I go there and the customer rep says its NOT THERE. He goes searching around and says theres 1 only and its open box (they had 3 in stock). I ask to speak to their manager and the manager says the same thing. At this point I am frustrated enough to yell at the manager, and she disappeared for a good 30 minutes. As soon as I am about to leave the store the manager "magically found a brand new unopened one right underneath the Lenovo section where I was standing. If I did not ask for the manager or go above and beyond I would have been left without a laptop. POOR customer service. Please stay away from this store or Best Buy if you want a good experience. Most of the "helpful reps" do not even understand basic computer architecture. ($8 an hour salary for a reason). The manager who I spoke to was LaKeisha, Best Buy please take care of your store before you go bankrupt as brick and motors are getting outdated and with this customer service you will fall.
