Avoid at all costs. Made the mistake of purchasing my phone at this location (an "authorized retailer") instead of making the 8 minute drive across town to the actual Verizon store on Rt. 211. Big mistake. Boy do I regret that. Purchased a Windows phone from Cellular Sales on 12/29 to give it a try. By 12/31 Id realized it wasnt for me and returned the phone and cancelled the line. Was given a refund, but oddly, no receipt. That was a sign of the incompetence (Ill refrain from saying maleficence) to come. A few weeks later I get my Verizon bill in the mail and notice that there is a large charge still for the new line, which was supposed to have been terminated on 12/31 and refunded. Made a call to Verizon national and was told that the line "was never cancelled" but that "it clearly should have been" as they saw in the system that the phone was indeed returned on 12/31. Verizon also disclosed that they could NOT do anything about it, since this was not their error: it was the fault of the local retailer (Cellular Sales), and they would have to be the ones to fix the mess. I was told Id better not just login and cancel the line myself, as Id get hit with a $350 "early termination fee" since I was past the 30-day return and cancel date. This too would have to be resolved locally at the sellers store. Geez. Three trips back to Cellular Sales, each resulting in me waiting in store for over 40 minutes while someone "worked on it" for me has accomplished nothing. I am still getting billed for the line (to the tune of nearly $70/month), and it has now been almost THREE MONTHS since the line should have been terminated. Each time a manager (most recently, Tim Corcoran) has assured me it would "be resolved in a week", but it has not been. Each time theyve said they would call me, and let me know, but they havent. I have never in my life encountered such poor customer service. It borders on criminal. How hard can it be to cancel a cancel a customers line and issue a refund??? Since they dont seem capable of doing so, I am now left to consider pursuing legal action, which sucks and is a waste of time. This is so ridiculous. Hope my story might help others avoid the same colossal waste of their time. Save yourself an immense headache and go to a legitimate store.
I went to Verizon to upgrade my phone. Kristen Smith helped me out and was extremely helpful. There were some complications because my phone is under a business account, and the price at first was going to be a lot more then I had planned on paying. It did take a couple of hours for me to finally get my new phone, but because of the customer service I was not upset. Kristen Smith was so kind, patient, and even came into work the next day which was her day off so I could get my phone. She actually offered to drive to my house to bring my phone to me, I was shocked. She got the price down to what I had originally hoped to pay, and honestly made me feel like family. In all of my years dealing with customer service anywhere, I have never in my life had a better experience. If I ever have to go back to Verizon for anything, I will call first to make sure Kristen Smith is there to help me out!!
At first, I was very pleasant with the representative that handled my order for a new phone. Now, several days later I am very disgusted with the service provided because I was misinformed about a few things that I will not mention because I dont want to get anyone in trouble, I just want to help others who might be reading this before going to one of three Verizon stores in Middletown. Anyway, I actually had to call Verizon and they tried to help me but because my order is a preorder, they cant do anything for me because that order cant be changed. You are better off going to the actual Verizon store (this store is operated by Cellular Sales) located in Orange Plaza near Walmart and Kohls because the representatives will be better informed and more knowledgeable about the policies that Verizon has in place.
Jessica rocks. Finally killed my inner dinosaur (flip phone) - and Jessica made the event effortless; taking care of everything...from making sure I got the appropriate phone (asking the right questions and adjusting based on the answers, no canned pitch here) to installing the glass (perfectly) and case (and individually tapping EVERY contact to import....yikes). She made sure I was going to be able to make the phone work - and all of it, including answering my questions with grace and patience, never once condescending....pretty good skill set! Also appreciated the dynamic in the store - the whole crew works together, and they tap each other for input. Nice, and nice group of people (for dinosaur killers).
One major problem. The fact that this store is not a corporate Verizon store they can charge their own fees, and I found this out the hard way. I was charged a "program and setup" fee which I was lead to believe was the Verizon upgrade fee. After getting my next bill with an upgrade fee and talking with Verizon, it turns out that since this is an authorized retailer they can charge their own fees. Would have been nice to know that before hand. I will say besides feeling misled the staff there was very friendly.
My rep Michael Williams was the best!! He found the best plan for me and my family and a fabulous phone for my teenager. He was polite, courteous, and patient. He was very knowledgeable and made this shopping experience sooooooo easy. The service I receive here has always been first rate.... In keeping with that, Michael did a first rate job!!! Would definitely return to this store!!
I BOUGHT 2 PHONES AND ONE HAD A REBATE AND SHE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT UNTIL I LOOKED ONLINE AND HAD TO DO A REFUND FOR THE REBATE. THEY ALSO DIDNT HAVE THE PHONE I WANTED BUT THEY GOT IT IN DAYS LATER. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OK BUT THE LADY THAT SOLD ME A PHONE DIDNT KNOW A LOT ABOUT THE PRODUCT, SHE WAS JUST LEARNING AS SHE WENT.
I stopped at my local Verizon store to pay my bill on Dolson Ave in Middletown. I waited 20mins and shortly after a man came in and not only was he greeted one of the employees located and rang up his purchase. I was outraged and left the store! That was worst customer service I ever received!
I had the pleasure of working with Cary when I visited the Verizon store on dolson Ave. Not only did he take the time to go through my options he also helped me to learn the device before I left the store. I would highly recommend working with Cary to any of my friends or family.
