Went here to buy a book. Cashier suggested that I purchase a $25 membership card. She told me that it would apply immediately and it would eventually pay for itself in the form of coupons I would be receiving. Later, I come to find out that the coupons they send are not for books but for items I do not purchase there (lattes, CDs, and other non book items). I tried to get a refund on the membership, but I was told that since it was applied to the one book I was purchasing (10% off) I was ineligible for a refund. They apply the card immediately when they sell it to you so you cant get a refund! I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Barnes and Noble simply ignored them! Of course, I never got my money back. Also, I dont recall the cashier telling me that the membership actually expires in one year and I definitely dont recall giving them permission to enroll me in automatic annual payments. So I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone to cancel that as well. Never again!

The overall building is fantastic! However, that is the farthest it extends to. I sat down in the cafe area for no more than 5 minutes, when a gentleman approached me asking if I would like a menu. After kindly declining the menu, he quickly responded with "You have to leave if you dont order from the cafe". Not even 3 minutes later, another gentleman walked over and placed a menu on my laptop and said, "Ill take your order over here". Not only was that the MOST rude customer service I have ever received, but there were also other customers staying there who had not ordered anything and they were not being forced to order a meal. I never knew that there was a certain time frame that I needed to be hungry or thirsty. Ive been coming to this location for weeks now and have always ordered food, when I was hungry. Not sure if I will be moving forward.

I dont think I will be returning to this location. I felt extremely unwelcome and out of place. I shopped around for a book first and then went to the cafe to sit and study for awhile. While there the store manager kept singling me out amongst other customers routinely asking me if I purchased something and trying to move me out to the other seating areas within the store. There was literally 4-5 customers in the cafe and about 20-30 empty tables, but he felt the need to keep checking on me. Im not going to play a certain "card" but I certainly felt that was the issue even after making a purchase. I have never been treated this way at any barnes and noble or Starbucks location and will not hold it against the parent companies, but if this is the business model for this location I will not be a part of it.

I come to this stablishment fairly often and the last time i was there i was at the cafe for about 3 hrs in that time i consumed a drink, then lunch and i disposed of plates and utensils when i was done eating. Some time after that i was approached by a staff personel who gave a menu and told me i had to consume something bc the tables where only for costumers. I responded i already order stuff and will prob order desert later. She then came back some time later basically asking me to leave or asking to consume something. She was very rude and i was the only one in the section approached to buy something when there was other people who had been there for longer than me with an empty cup of coffee. Will never go back there again and will report it to corporate for sure.

My first post was deleted. My husband went to buy a item. But because it was on hold till closing they wouldnt sell it to him even though it was closing and they said they had to wait till closing so he did. Then the manager said sorry come back tomorrow. I called at 8am before the store opened to out it on hold because they also wouldnt do that for him the night before. When the General manager called me back she said that is a perk of working in the store. So you can tell a customer no even though you have multiple of them. But after closing the staff can buy it. Real nice Barns and Noble. Im still waiting to talk to corporate.

The bookstore is "OK". they keep moving their popular sections making it difficult to find. The store has fewer books than that of Livingston. Does not have a section on Islam. Service is poor. Once we went to have coffee near closing. They sold us the coffee but threw us out and we had to throw the coffee we had purchased. The store is usually under-staffed. Events like Harry Potter are poorly managed and they make the people wait outside in the rain. They keep reducing the number of sofas and seats. The Starbucks has few slections.

I just went to this Barnes and Noble, and rushed home to review it. The staff was so pleasant and helpful, even on a Sunday night, I was very impressed. I could not find a particular book I was looking for, and the manager himself helped me search for it, until he found it at the very bottom of a large box of bargain-priced books. The fact that he was so thorough in helping me, especially when we could not find it in the place it should have been and he could have easily told me they were out, was unexpected and yet fantastic.

5 years ago when I was living with my first job, jumping from contract job to contract job after be disappointed by the value of my chemistry BA experience...this was where I went for solace. I read books to improve myself. I read buddhas brain", some comedy books to hopefully help my magic career, and the Buddhism books. It was free to go and browse and I am so grateful for places like this..not sure where Id be today if it didnt exist.

I went in to get coffee and do some work on the computer. I sat down and noticed there were several people online so meanwhile I opened my computer and began to get my papers ready. A young man came up to my table and said "unless you plan on buying something you cant sit here. You need to buy something" I had only been in the store about 2 to 3 minutes. I thought it was completely rude. the staff here is not so friendly.

Nice place to go and read. Has a Starbucks with tables. Has a large childrens section. A large selection of music, movies, workout dvds, etc. In addition to all the adult book options they sell a variety of games. (Board, card, ect.) Always a sale and plenty in the clearance to choose from too. Membership not required but pays for itself rather quickly

Bald individual that has been mentioned in other reviews will pester you with a menu. He keeps a watchful eye on you until you order an item off the menu. I was asked a total of three times if I wanted to buy something. Two by the barista and one by the menu guy. Not a comfortable environment at all. I was targeted from the start.
