My experience here was, terrible. My two daughters, four and fifteen, both got in trouble for touching the toys? Last time I checked, toy stores were supposed to be a fun experience? I felt threatened because most of the employees would not stop staring at my two daughters. They were happily touching the toys, and may I clarify, most of them had the open hole in the plastic to touch and feel the texture of the toy, or play with the strings of, say, strings of a guitar, or keys piano. Eventually, one of the employees, asked us to leave, or stop touching the toys. I decided to leave because why else stay at a toy store if you werent allowed to touch the toys? Very bad experience here, I extremely suggest that you and/or your children do not visit this store. Not a fun experience. I would give half a star but I would say its not even worth that much.

In third grade, I bought a kazoo at Happy Hippo for Mr. Schmidts class but Id never used one before. So while walking home, I punched out the plastic vibration thing inside with a pen. My mother, who is generally the stingiest person in the world was kind enough to walk with me back to the store and buy me a new one. Mr. Schmidt was my favorite teacher for the longest time. Now I can barely remember his name. Then in middle school at "rec hall" (the Friday night middle school dances where everyone awkwardly doesnt dance with anyone), we bought stink bombs at HH and smashed as many as we could in the middle of the gym (dance) floor until the DJ made them turn the lights on and yelled at us and threatened to not play any more GunsNRoses.

Me and my two kids (five and sixteen years old) went into this store. I was going to buy a toy for my youngest. The whole time the cashier lady was glaring at my 16 year old as she played with the toys. She picked up a toy and the lady told her to put it down. I went to a different aisle with my five year old, and shortly after my 16 year old came up to me asking if we could leave. She explained that the cashier lady told her to either buy something or leave when she was playing a song on the toy piano. I agreed to leave and bought them ice cream instead. This was a terrible experience for both me and my kids. I cant believe such awful people work at a toy store. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We were on a field trip with special needs students whose assignment was to get 2 job applications in Haddonfield. A student chose Happy Hippo in class because he really found the store interesting. When we got to the store the 2 male employees were extremely rude. This made my student very uncomfortable. He was with an adult who helped him ask as his speech is poor and was turned away. This was totally unacceptable. All the other stores were extremely accommodating. I am very disappointed in Happy Hippo. I wonder if their manager knows? or was one of them the manager???

Its open 7 days a week! Google get it together....open 10-5 Saturday! Happy Hippo is Awesome!!! Best place ever! That one star rating and comment is hilarious!!! What was it about the happy hippo that made you choose to act rude in oneself? Who forms that opinion in oneself? Get some self control! Happy Hippo is one of a kind and a staple in the communities it serves. Thank you!

buying here is like buying around or more than retail, but what you find inside isnt stock you can just find in any ToysRus. the toys in the store is a considerably large collection for the space they have in there, so it can get crowded. its worth a look to see if they have what you are looking for.

One of their 2 locations (Other Moorestown). Great selection of toys, from current to classic. The employees are helpful, happy, and very nice to the kids (Of all ages) that come into the shop.
