Rudest "service" in my life. I had an appointment: My dress wasnt done, my shoes werent done, and my feet would be stained BRIGHT RED. As a bridesmaid I needed a hem, a re-sewn hook, and shoes dyed to match my dress. The first appointment went just fine, but nasty chaos ensued at my second appointment. I arrived on time to find the hem done, the hook not sewed and my shoes in the dye! On a tight schedule and working out of state, this obviously upset me. Not only do the shoes take hours to dry, but they will stain anything they touch (bright red)! The owner comes trampling down the stairs saying the ladies (salesperson and seamstress) said I was being fresh and she told me "CUT THE TUDE!!!" I said I had an appointment and the services were not performed, to which she had no excuse for and said "I cant wave a magic wand!! Theyre not done! What do you want to do?!" Instead of calling me to say they needed more time, Antoinette said I didnt even buy the dress there (I had called in advance and they said it wouldnt be a problem), as though my $75 payment for alterations was a favor to myself. I had to make multiple trips to the car *in the rain* with everything on hangers and in garbage bags, at risk of ruining everything. I was expecting a small apology, and perhaps a small discount for the inconvenience, but instead what I got was a completely unprofessional response devoid of any accountability with Real Housewives-style flair from an inept business owner who would benefit from Charm School and Customer Service 101. UPDATE 10/3/11 - After leaving the wedding, I noticed red on my feet. After removing the shoes, my feet were dyed BRIGHT RED and half of the dye stayed on after a shower. Expensive, terrible work and terrible attitude. STAY AWAY.

If you are looking for a bridal shop to make your wedding experience special do not go here. I went in to the Belmar location with my mom to pay the balance for my sisters invitations one day and no one had a clue what was going on...especially the owner. For some reason because the consultant my sister (bride) was working with wasnt there they were unable to tell us what we owed. Shouldnt they have some kind of record of these things at the store??? This is not worst of it, however. My sister had ordered three different items from this shop... save the dates, invitations, and a dress. Mistakes were made with all three items. They had the wrong date on the save the dates, confused my sisters dress with someone elses because they had a similar last name and the invitations that they ordered looked nothing like what they had originally showed her. When we informed the owner of all this she did not care one bit! She just kept making excuse after excuse and only wanted to talk about her $150 thousand dollar wedding and her $5000 invitations. Im sorry but I really dont care how much you spent on your wedding. As the owner of a business you would think she would at least apologize for all the mistakes made and reassure us that nothing else goes wrong!! She did none of these things and honestly she was so dense Im not she even understood half of what we were saying. Now Im engaged and I would never ever go there for my bridal needs...horrible, horrible experience!!!

Very frustrated with this store! Went bridesmaid dress shopping here for my sister in law. She decided to go with Bill Levkoff for our BM dresses. I wore Bill Levkoff in May for a wedding and the dress store in DE that I got it from ordered me a size 8 long. When I went to Antoinette Rose in Belmar she said I was measuring a size 12. I asked for her to double check and she confirmed I was a size 12. So I was panicking when I had my fitting for the wedding in May and was wearing Bill Levkoff in a size 8. I thought for sure the dress wouldn’t even zip up. I go to my fitting in DE and the dress needed to be taken in! Just a little but still, it fit just fine. I immediately called Antoinette Rose in Belmar and told them there was a mistake and the woman mis-measured me. The manager rudely told me over the phone that she has been measuring for 20+ years and she didn’t make a mistake. I asked for her to then explain why the Bill Levkoff size 8 dress I just got had to be taken in and she couldn’t answer that. I asked if they could order me a new size and she said no, it’s too late and there is nothing they can do! Talk about customer service! So now, I have to pay and arm and leg for alterations thanks to Antoinette Rose. I do not recommend this dress store to anyone! Horrible customer service and they mis-measure you to make more money off alterations!

Nope to both locations. I have wanted to write this review since I picked out my wedding dress (June 2013) but waited until I had the dress in my possession before reviewing. I also intended to at least say something positive about their seamstress because she initially seemed like she knew what she was doing. In summary: they dont do what they say (they never ordered extra fabric for my bridesmaid dresses though I asked them to at their first visit), they are not accomodating AT ALL, they are kind of rude (they laughed at me when I wanted to get my wedding dress a few days early due to rain despite them having it for 10 months), and the strap on my dress broke 10 mins into my reception (I asked during the first fitting if it needed reinforcement and was told NO). Dont forget to pay for your dress in cash...even though they keep it. Its sad - I had the most amazing wedding in the world this past weekend yet I have spent almost a year frustrated with them...no other complaint for any of my vendors except for my dress...which cost almost as much as my flowers and ended up being the reason I spent an hour of my reception having to get it fixed. Brides beware. Seriously. Go anywhere else.

Terrible experience!!! I went into this store four separate occasions (years apart), one to find a dress for my uncles wedding 10 years ago, once a few years back to find a bridesmaids dress, and twice this past month for a bridesmaids dress for my wedding and my wedding dress. Every single time I ended up walking out. The owner is so RUDE! I dont know how she still has a shop with how poorly she treats her customers. Buying a wedding dress or a dress for any occasion is supposed to be an excited experience!! Something to remember. The only thing I feel like I will remember is that I will never step foot into this store again!! And I wouldnt recommend any of you to either!! The only person who seems to know what they are talking about in the store is the seamstress Zulma. They also rip the tags out of all your wedding dresses and blame it on the bridal shows that they somehow got lost...However, we arent complete idiots. Seems they care more about their business than actually helping brides. If thats the case they may need to start treating people with respect or I cant imagine anyone wanting to buy from this bridal shop.
