I went there to this specific store to get an Atari 2600 for my gaming collection. I got in and asked for it, and the people there were nice and friendly. I had to ask for it because it was in their storage room in the back. It took them a while to find all the cords and a console, but that was understandable. They wanted to test it out first on this new tv and I gave them the games I wanted (which were actually cheap for some of the Atari games). At first, there wasnt really any reception, but then it was blurry and it looked like crap. But they told me that sometimes Atari doesnt always work with the new flat screens. They also said that they would give me a full refund since I was new. Which I thought was pretty cool for a 14 year old kid like me. It was only an Atari 2600 Jr., but I didnt care, at least I got an Atari for only $30. The Atari worked just fine when I brought it home. It isnt truly a bad store, but this one is the best Gamers in town. They just need to find guys who are big experts at the consoles to be hired. Then, they might spiff up a bit. Its kinda messy in there due to all the cords and collectibles they have, but I think that was when they were getting things in order, so Im not sure about it. The library of games is a little too short, but I got to see a gold Intellivison with the Voice Synthesis Module (which I might buy pretty soon) and even rare CDI games like Zeldas Adventure. In conclusion, this place is the best Gamers to go to in Omaha. Youll just have to know about the games and see if they make a mistake related to gaming and prices. Im going there again, so Ill get to see a more updated review.

So my sons and I drove there tonight! They were so excited they saved up all their allowances to buy this game they have been eyeballing for two weeks now. We get there 7 mins before they close. The girl behind the counter alerted the snarky rude guy infront of the counter ,we were about to come in,who quickly ran to the door shut the open sign off and lock the door then proceeded to twist his purple cap around his head and make a face as if to say "yeah , I did it close the door on you " and then laugh the entire way back to the counter! My boys were heartbroken they didnt understand they asked several times "mom why they close the door on us I dont understand , theres still time ". This punk snarky ,disrespectful, jackass , so rude little man decides to continue to laugh and point at my children as we are outside the door. I will never support this store again. Next time we trade in our PS4 we will go to Bens. My heartbroke to see my children disrespected this this.

If you want to trade in a game or a system for cash, go anywhere else. They will show you what you can get in store credit, then tell you what you would get in cash...which is about half of what you could get in store credit. This would be perfect if all I wanted to do was purchase games. I needed the cash though so i was between a rock and a hard place. Not only that I had to stand there for two hours while they put everything into the computer, and then completely redid the order because the computer crashed. The crash wasnt their fault, but the fact that I stood there for two hours should have given the manager the cue to give me the store credit price for cash. I will probably never go back there unless I want to buy a cheap game.

I grew up going to Gamers, literally when it first opened its doors at 72nd Street. Gamers will always have a nice place in my memories but they are a shell of what they used to be. Their retro selection is so picked apart its sad, only go if you are looking for the last two generations of video games, retro simply isnt their specialty anymore. I have not had any issues with the product and if you decide to trade be aware that you will NEVER get what you WANT, lower your expectation or sell on eBay if you want to name your price. Staff is very nice. I wish there was a more dynamic pricing system. I am very aware of eBay and retail prices and some of these seem like months and months old.

Purchased 6 PS2 games totalling $40 a few months ago, not sure when I wanted to play them. I pull the cases out today, and I discover there arent any games in the cases! The cases havent moved from their spot from when I first purchased them, and I live by myself, so understand my surprise. I dont understand how an employee can forget to put the discs in the case. I only rate 2 stars because I have shopped here a few times before and the service has been okay and for the most part I have been able to find what I am looking for. This latest discovery of mine is unacceptable, though. I figured I shouldnt have to check the case to make sure the employee did their job, but I was proven wrong.

I went in Monday to purchase a PS4. The staff did not greet me and no one tried to help me. I went to the counter and stood there and still no one said anything. Finally, I asked about their PS4s and the kid behind the counter said, "We have a few, they are $319." I asked if they bundled any games and he said, "No, I dont think so." Then he turned his back to me and started moving boxes. I work in retail and do sales for a living. Your staff needs basic training in customer service. You lost my money. I went to Target and had an awesome employee help me purchase my PS4.

Poor customer service, and products are not as reliable. I get that it is a used game store but if youre going to sell a broken or flawed product under the guarantee that you test everything to make sure its working (and thus have no refunds) and it turns out to be garbage, thats dishonest. I could tell that the sales person had no knowledge of the product, either by they were younger than it or just because they were there to collect a paycheck. This used to be a decent store but has definitely gone down hill.

I have been coming to the 72nd street store for over 20 years. Ever sense i bought my very first snes brand new from gamers. Today is a sad day when you walk in to a absolutely filthy store with romp a room miss matched foam tiles all over the floor. Its like i walked into the most ghetto daycare center of my life. The counter staff are friendly as ever but the over all condition of the store has downgraded so much. That i will never visit this local again.

Been going here since 92, nice little game shop. Though they have gone a little downhill in the collectors area. they usually have a full line of newer release/still in circulation gamer paraphernalia. Every now and then you will find a neo-geo, 3DO, coleco, or atari system. I really wish they would get their stuff together with their website and start offering more of a variety/import/collectors section.
