If it were possible to award less than one star I would, based on ridiculously poor customer service. My glasses were ordered at the VAMC in Richmond, VA exactly four weeks ago, as of tomorrow. I called that office today and immediately the person on the other end started arguing with me that, "four weeks ago" would not occur until a few more days, on the "one month ago" date per her thinking. She obviously didnt understand that sometimes one month doesnt always equal exactly four weeks. Very poor way to start a conversation on her part by trying to turn some simple information that I politely provided into some sort of verbal wrestling match. After that bit of unpleasantness, I mentioned to her that in the past the glasses usually arrived in about two to three weeks. She quickly replied that, "its never been two to three weeks." So, she started off with a bang by being discourteous and argumentative two times in a row. Theres more of her being surly and abrupt but I wont elaborate on the details. Everything she stated was as if shed read an encyclopedia on how to be rude and was putting everything she learned from that into one phone conversation. She managed to be totally rude, discourteous and unprofessional in all three minutes and two seconds of the conversation. Lastly, she said to call back in a week if the glasses dont arrive, quickly said goodbye and then hung up. After that I went online and found the number to the main lab in Mississippi. The person there was able to verify that the order was shipped out four days ago. That went well very well and the individual I spoke with at that location was polite, friendly and professional. However, there is one representative of theirs in Richmond who really should consider moving into a vocation where they do not have any interaction whatsoever with the public.

Due to being on disability, I have to go through Hunter Holmes McGuire VA, in Richmond VA, Optical Department to obtain my eyeglasses. The manager of that office continually gives me incorrect information over a period of at least 3 years now. I am allowed one free pair of eyeglasses a year from the VA due to disability. Unfortunately it takes nearly a year to get an accurate prescription from the VA and then order and receive my eyeglasses from Superior Optical. 2 years ago it took more than six months to receive my eyeglasses due to the managers failure to submit my order, and then telling me, repeatedly, they were ordered and the company was behind in filling orders. I finally was able to get the name and number for Superior Optical in MS, after repeatedly being denied the information by this manager. Once I called I had my glasses in 2 weeks. I received more rude, inaccurate service and information today. It is my understanding this manager has had numerous complaints filed against her by veterans but for some reason Superior Optical has failed to remedy the situation. I have resorted to calling Superior Optical Lab in MS directly, in order to get accurate information and prompt, respectful service. Providing the veteran with a tracking number, via email, when glasses are shipped, would be helpful as well. Superior Optical please help the Veterans in Richmond Virginia get honest, respectful, professional service by hiring a new manager. Please!

For some reason, the two representatives of Superior Optical at the Jacksonville VA seem to think that veterans must accept crappy customer service. If you have any issues whatsoever with your glasses, the man and woman in that office will go out of their way to force you into accepting the crap they give you. It took a half dozen calls to their corporate offices to get them to dispense the glasses that they had in their possession for 5 days.

Crap crap crap... Waited 10 weeks for a pair of no line bi focals from a VA claim and recieved a pair of crap glasses that look like 100 year old window pane with waves so bad i could surf on them.. The service person told me that is acceptable under their standards.. I did tell her to stick the $50 that I paid plus what ever they billed the government up her butt... Crap crap crap!!!!

Have ordered glasses from this group via the V.A. and I must say that they couldnt be more horrible. Twice and after a wait of 2 and a half months, they still cant get it right......Run away from them fast
