Went there for a craft beer tasting. It was pathetic. I was not impressed. Im am a bartender and went there with three other bartenders to check out the new expansion and some tasty new beers, we sat there for at least ten minutes with out so much as being greeted or carded. We werent the only ones being ignored either. Saw six other people next to us who sat with empty sample glasses the entire time we were there, waiting themselves for the guys attention (at least they had sample glasses). New customers came in, walked up to where a couple other people were directly in front of him (that were actually being talked to) and they were immediately given glasses and samples. At this point I say "excuse me sir..." No response. Repeat myself three more times before I get a muffled reply (because he wasnt even willing to turn around to actually talk to me) which I dont understand him but I still ask "so, do we have to come to over there to get served?" Which at this point he at least kind of looks over his shoulder and says "yeah, Im kind of busy". Are you serious!? Why do you have a wrap around bar!? I work in a craft beer bar on Friday nights and can juggle 50 customers and you cant handle 14 (I counted)!? At which point we start walking around to the front to maybe get served when we decide it isnt worth FREE BEER and we are going to go somewhere else. As we are leaving he finally asks to see our IDs... I even had a purchase to make for my friends birthday party this evening but after that showing, I didnt even want to buy anything there. Lost sales and valuable customers that could put a good word out to their customers at the respective bars we work in for this place but now I have nothing positive to say. You failed 99 bottles.
I have been to 99 Bottles 3 times so far. We stop in to buy special beer for my super cool office mates in Minneapolis, when we are visiting our daughter at college. The guys there are amazing and they send me home with a box of beer selections that make my office mates salivate. While Im at 99 Bottles,we talk chemistry and botany and they educate me. Steve knows that I am attracted to pretty bottles and he is not afraid to tell me, "no, Susan". The selection is impressive with the barrel aged stouts, IPAs, Imperial stouts , Side Kick Pale Ale, Moo Joos, Nogne... I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor, jump on the new beer bandwagon.Get yourself educated on how cool beer is. I grew up on Coors Light, which is a lot like making love in a canoe. Thanks Guys, we will see you in May.
99 Bottles is the closest liquor store to my apartment, but I rarely go there despite being a craft beer fanatic, and despite their fairly good craft beer selection. They do not turn-over their craft beer inventory often enough. They have cases of Sierra Nevada that are consistently 5-6 months old, which will always taste skunky. If I were the distributor, I would demand that old product be taken off the shelf. They would sell more beer if it werent so old. I have spoken to the staff there on three separate occasions regarding their beer inventory and nothing ever changes. I dont have a problem driving several miles out of my way to get good craft beer. Your loss, 99 Bottles.
Decent beer selection, wine selection is mediocre at best. Went there looking for a wide selection of shooters to find a very minimal, bare bones selection instead. Ive encountered (common, popular) products that I was looking for, out of stock both times I went there. On the outside youd think this liquor store has a larger variety, but inside is kind of disappointing.
The convenient location, super-chill staff and a great selection of craft beer and wine easily make 99 Bottles our favorite place to stock up on adult beverages. Sign up for the text club for exclusive discounts!
Great selection, good prices, excellent service. The staff here is always willing to make suggestions and help find exactly what youre looking for.
Prices are decent, it has great selection of whiskey and craft beer. I am not really a wine drinker but looks like they have a good selection too.
These guys always have great beer and great knowledge of what they are selling. They are always helpful when browsing for new beers
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always willing to give a great recommendation. They also have an amazing selection.
The staff here are helpful and fun. The selection is great (especially for the smaller size of the place). I like it.
Good prices, excellent selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a must for micro brew lovers
They have the bottles no one else does. If youre looking for esoteric liquors, look no further.
They have a great selection of beer and carry items that are often not available in Fargo.
Clean store but not always stocked with beer. Prices also seem higher than other places.
Its booze...what is not good about booze. The dudes that work there are pretty cool too.
Great selection of beers, other stock looked good to but I was there for the beer
Nice liquor store. Helpful staff, clean store and a good selection.
Convenient, with great wine selection, among other things.
Great place for people looking to find something different
Large selection, decent prices, and always friendly.
Good selection and prices (were from Canada lol).
Now open Sundays and they sell scratch offs

Wide selection, pretty competitive
Friendly people good service
Nice little liquor store
