Wished I could give Sears Maplewood no stars! Worse customer service that I have ever encounter (and I work in retail myself). I went in to just buy a set of two pair of socks and the young associate behind the counter (and on the side of counter) did not even acknowledge me when I was waiting in line (I was the second person in line with no one in line behind myself). Furthermore, when I finally got to the counter, both of the associates walked away from the counter and continued to socialize with one another. They completely ignored my presence. I was then left to wait for the elderly associate (who was on the phone at the time) to ring my item up. She was also very rude. She kept trying to persuade me to sign-up for a rewards card to which I had already denied at least two times throughout the five minutes that she spent trying to get me to sign up. She then proceeded to say, "well I dont know what else to tell you other than that." As if I even asked for an explanation of the freaking rewards program and how it worked! All I wanted was a set of two pairs of socks and go on with my business for the day! After I finally got rung up and paid for my item, the elderly associate proceeded to scoff and tell me that she was "just trying to be nice and help me. Not be rude or mean to me." I take it that she was trying to tell me that I was being rude. I returned the favor by telling her "I understand and IM not trying to be rude or mean to you too" as calmly and seriously as I could for she lacked interpersonal communication skills and listening skills.

When our refrigerator began to fail a month ago we purchased a new refrigerator from Sears. The price was good (on sale) and thus far it is running fine. The problem is with the delivery. Previously Sears had delivery trucks and employees. Now they contract with a delivery service. While they delivery guys were nice, they were not careful about moving the new refrigerator into our kitchen. They made several large gouges in the wall and scratched the refrigerator door in several places. They were not very concerned about the damage and it appeared to me that this was a very familiar occurrence for them. After many calls from us, they finally came out an put some patch compound on the wall. They never came back despite many more calls from us. They finally sent us a check for $100 to cover the damage. In retrospect, I should have paid a little more for the refrigerator and search for a retailer that has a good delivery reputation.

Ordered a tool box online for in store pickup. I was surprised that the tool box was going to take a week to get to the destination store when there is a SEARS warehouse in the area. Anyway, that didnt bother me. The reason for my 2 star review is that Ive tried calling the Maplewood store now 4 times this morning to try and get an update on my order since today is the estimated in-store date and I havent received any sort of email confirmation. The first three calls I routed my call to the Merchandise Pickup department. Phone rang like 5 times and then sounds like someone just picks the phone up and hangs up. This happened 3 times. I called the store again and routed my call to Customer Service. Phone rang more times, but ultimately the same thing happened. For what its worth, I had a poor experience with SEARS customer service in general so maybe this is a problem throughout SEARS.

It was great, but then I always find the place matches my expectations really well. A lot of times its just the few people unhappy with service who write reviews. A lot of times their expectations are very, very high. If you see how it goes in this store, I never expect the world from the wonderful people who work there, and I always get a lot more than I expect. True, if youre the impatient type, things that take time may not rate well with you. I guess Im lucky not to be the impatient type in this way. By the way, they are more understaffed than any Target, Walmart or whatever, but then again, Im just not that impatient.

update below! Bought a stove and got it home but didnt open it until our kitchen floors and cabinets had been installed. Then open it to find the whole side has a deep dent in it. Called and they said they r not responsible after 30 days.. (it hadnt been 30 days since i picked it up, but 30 days since it was available for pick up.) Person on phone wouldnt help and hung up on me after i asked to speak to a manager. UPDATE. . THOUGH the woman on the phone was horrible. When i went in the man at the appliance counter was AWESOME very understanding and helpfull! He was quick to exchange the stove and very nice!

If its customer service you need, do not bother going here. Today my husband went in to exchange a screw driver that they finally have in stock. It took 10 min to actually find an employee, and then that employee took off to "go find someone who works in that department" 10 min later he finds them all chatting it up in the clothing department. So after 20 min he finally said screw it and left. No wonder sears is going down the drain, customer service is non-existent, and the employees are nearly worthless.

Delivery is very bad. We ordered a very good elliptical that was fine, but it was supposed to be delivered on Monday. They hired guys that couldnt take it upstairs and they quit and they will set it up for tomorrow. BUT THEN they didnt come and said they will come in 2 WEEKS. UGH. Then again we ordered a treadmill and they just passed by our house and STAYED THERE FOR A MINUTE. THEY DIDNT EVEN RING THE BELL. CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT A RIPOFF SEARS IS. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM EVER AGAIN.

Hi; I did buy 3 Jeans, took them home, to show them to my wife. she did like the two. But two of the Jeans were little tight, I needed to exchange, Unfortunately, the return date passed by three days, I did buy them on the Mar/13/2016 and TRY TO RETURN THEM ON THE 4/17/2016. I didnt use them at all, all the tags were still on. they didnt want to give me in store credit or exchange. Im not happy with them at all. this store is located in Maple wood Mn

Nothing at all. Horrible service selling me a defaulted watch and taking way longer than they said it would to get it fixed. Also keeping me on the phone for 25 minutes saying one more minute please. I strongly feel nobody should waste their time at this place seriously

Worst possible customer service EVER! Attempted to call about a snowblower key replacement. Would select a department, to only have the phone ring and ring, and then hang up! SEARS...GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER...
