More than Words Boostores online store engages in a fraudulent and deceptive selling practices. On eBay, it describes books as being in good condition, but then ships battered library books that belong in a trash can. Here are some recent review from Ebay: "I wish sellers would learn how to describe things properly". "Crappy condition, bent up and with food stains". "Seller refused to refund purchase price after shipping the wrong book". "Not new, library copy. Misrepresented". "Bad experience, listed as "good" but received "terrible, stinky, ripped" book" "Multiple items ordered and absolutely none were in stock". "Seller lied in Listing, sent only 1 book out of 3 and dvd.. Do not buy". "Horrible! Promptly paid but it never shipped. Resold after I paid. Never again!" "Item condition NOT as described. Very worn and creased" "Book is NOT in very good cond as listed, cover is bent, stained & has water dmg" "Was listed as being in good condition but definitely wasnt. Falling apart." "Book was not listed as a former library book. Extremely unhappy with this". "Will tell you what you want to hear to make a sale. Dont trust." "Its been over a month and the book never arrived. Refuses to respond to me." "Book Isnt New." "Sent me the wrong CD then refused to respond to my request" "Never received the book. Sent several emails trying to fix the problem. A waste" "seller didnt mention this is an old library book! Yuck!" "The book was falling apart and had library stickers on it, horrible condition" "The book was not in "good condition". Torn pages, some taped." "Book was supposedly in good condition. It was so beat up the cover fell off." "used library book in terrible condition"

Fantastic used bookstore that also serves the communitys at-risk youth. The book collection there is carefully curated, which results in a great selection. If youre looking for suggestions, the staff is super helpful. I came in to find some books to stock my Little Free Library, and I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Alisa. She personally helped my husband and I choose a ton of books for our neighbors to enjoy. Her specialty is childrens books, though - she has a masters in childrens literature. As she helped us stock up on books for younger readers, I pulled her aside and asked if she could specifically suggest some kids books that featured empowered girls and minorities, she just smiled and said that she had already been doing so. Awesome.

The company has very good intentions of trying to help youth between the ages of 16 and 21 years old, who are in the system, homeless, or just need a job. I love how they are there teaching the youth about different parts of a job, the data and sales they bring in, and just the driffrent parts of a business and how its run. I love how the books are all donated from people and how the business just runs off of donations people give. The café is a wonderful place, the food is tasty and the drinks are absolutely fabulous. I love the place.

Really cool place with a great mission. Didnt even know the books were used until a staff told me. Spent a few hours reading for graduate school and having a coffee. Serve Starbucks coffee so you know what youre getting. They dont have a ton of workspace (3 small two-person tables, 6 lounge chairs, and some stools at a narrow bar up front) but it was enough and not much competition for space during a rainy Monday early afternoon. Really friendly staff (Alisa) too. Definitely plan to visit this place frequently.

I stumbled across the location in Bostons south end (e. Berkeley street) and have been hooked ever since. I also have made many friends tag along to this book store. They have the best deals around for used books, they keep the inventory fresh and turned over frequently and a good selection of DVDs. The staff is always personable and I am impressed with how up to date their technology is. Check them out and watch out for sales and special events they have every couple of weeks.

I ordered a book, paid the extra money for the express 2 day shipping, and just got told that it wont be shipped for another week. So, tomorrow, I will show up to my Kindergarten classroom empty handed. Thank you for the disappointment of 18 five year olds, More Than Words. I want my money back.

The bookstore and cafe are great for a couple reasons: good prices, nice atmosphere, and the business is run by youth who really care about their work and do an excellent job. I highly recommend MTW.

Great selection. Fair prices. Have found some real gems here. The monthly open mic mix is a lot of fun with some good performers.
