One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Of course, you should not expect the exact Jean-Georges level cuisine here, considering the amount you pay for the tasting course- only 58 dollars. However, you can see all kinds of influences from JGs recipe here- the scallop sashimi appetizer with a hint of spice brings out the oriental in JGs influence, and the intensive use of spice in general really brings out the Asian influence. Pea soup is my absolute favorite- it is creamy, but not too creamy. Lamb was okay, not too great, but again a perfect lamb would cost a fortune. The highlight was the dessert. The soufflé was probably the best I have ever had. Highly recommended if youre looking for a not-too-expensive, but delicious meal... but if you have the money to fly to NYC and spend $300 on a meal, just go to the original JG.

I was looking for a nice place to take my BF in Boston for his bday. During my search I stumbled upon Boston Magazines 50 Best Restaurants list which is where I learned of Market by Jean-Georges. I visited several of the restaurant websites from that list, read numerous online reviews, and talked with co-workers before finally selecting Market. I was not disappointed with my choice. Market exceeded my expectations! The food was incredible! I enjoyed the pea soup & seared scallops; my BF had the short rib. And, service was great - very attentive and made thoughtful recommendations! I also love that they use seasonal locally produced ingredients - you can tell too because everything tastes very fresh! I highly recommend Market!

Chic and Delicious. I love to get fancy and splurge here. Its small which I like . I am quite Jean-Georges veteran and while this location does not compare to many in New York, it is still top notch. I had the most delicious brunch here. Went with the shrimp salad and buckwheat crepe, both were plated beautifully. The other time I went here I had the yummy passionfruit salmon and rich soup. Both times I wasnt blown away by their desserts so definitely can skip on that. Highlight both times were the delicious DRINKS. I love myself a yummy cocktail--the Lychee Raspberry Bellini and Orange Blossom Cosmo were amazing!!!

Very disappointing experience. Took 20 minutes for anyone to offer us a drink. Downhill from there. Waiter brought an incorrect entree. The diner graciously offered to keep it so they wouldnt have to prepare another (and so she wouldnt have to wait for food while everyone else ate). No one apologized further, no offer was made to adjust the bill. Food was okay but not worthy of the prices. Menu isnt terribly interesting. Noisy.

Superstar Chef Jean-Gorges Vongerichtens brand stands for itself -- craftsmanship and excellence -- thats why this Asian-influenced French cuisine should not be ignored (even though its not Boston-bred). Pro-Top: Order the five-course Market menu ($58), and dont forget dessert! Highlights: Slow-Cooked Salmon (cooked at 200°F, with German potato salad), Pork Chop w/Pistachio Pesto, Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sundae.

The five-course tasting menu for $58 had one original, well-executed dish: the Maine Diver Scallop Sashimi. A good combination, beautifully presented. The remaining courses -- the gazpacho, the slow-cooked salmon, the (well aged) rib-eye steak, the ice cream sundae -- were all perfectly OK, but nothing special. The $30 wine pairings (= $12/glass for 2.5 glasses) were also acceptable, but nothing special.

Five words: salted caramel ice cream sundae. From the house-made ice cream to the caramel popcorn on top, this one is a major winner. The appetizers and entrees were outstanding as well. The filet mignon with caramelized Brussels sprouts, pecans, and mustard was one of the best steaks Ive had in Boston. This place has enough going for it that it almost doesnt feel like youre eating at a hotel restaurant.

My birthday dinner here was fantastic! The tuna tartare was amazing and the salmon was absolutely out of this world! Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Three filet mignons, 2 salmons and one cod - all outstanding! Delicious ginger margarita cocktail, too! Great service, nice atmosphere. Top notch!

This is my favorite burger in the city.. The atmosphere is quiet and low key although not warm and welcoming it is very modern and has a good vibe. Check it out for a great experience!!

I ordered the deep fried clams. I spent the entire night suffering from the worst food poisoning of my life. I will never come here again

Went there for restaurant week. The appetizer and dessert were good, but the entree was very basic and unsatisfying.
