We have been faithful customers at Idylwilde for 18 years. Superb produce, wonderful deli, extravagant cheeses, syrups. oils, baked goods, plants, sweets, annual and perennials. The management is always available for questions or to place an order for a party being planned. We do not find the prices daunting as we will always pay the price for top quality items. Over the years, we have been instrumental in bringing twenty-four friends to Idylwide who have become true and devoted fans. The number has grown from 24 as they introduced others to the joys of shopping at Idylwide. Congratulations! July 26th, 2008

Great selection hampered by odd hours and poor store layout. The entrance & exit are always densely populated, making for constant stop-start movement, and this could be solved by a second doorway. Aisles are too thin for the volume of customers and the patrons tend to be oblivious and a bit rude. Pricing is good for local, seasonal products, but imports and out-of-season produce are a hair pricey. Go when they arent busy.
They tell me I got a job when i went in after a few interviews and after 2 or 3 months of me calling and going in to talk to this lady thats the hiring manager to see when i would start working she always put me off saying we will call you when we need you.. and finally after a while she finally says "were not hiring for another half year"
The food is great, and they have a great selection of produce year round. However the prices are kind of high. But you get what you pay for here as I have never gotten or seen bad produce even when its not in season. They also have bacon that you can get sliced at the counter (Super Thick) and the bakery/sandwich counter is pretty good to.
It has local farm setup and everything, I am not sure if they actually have anything produced by Idylwilde farms. They have stuff from all over the country just any other grocery store. In my opinion, it is overpriced. The best thing I like there is the freshly squeezed orange juice bottled on the premise (I think, it used to be..)
Year-round farmers market, summertime nursery, and the local place to find healthy, happy indoor plants, in addition to baskets, plant pots, craft beers, wine, cheese, a small bakery & a deli! Everything in always fresh, though not always local, but in New England in February, suddenly "local" isnt so important.
Lots of good either specialty / delicacy/ health foods. Pre-made things like egg salad or regular salads for a meal, lots of cool beverages. Bakery, brews, oh and the best part a huge cheese section encircling the deli. Price seems appropriate / or a bargain depending on the item
I love this place such a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are so fresh, awesome wine and cheeses along with two delis . You can find organic meats and vegetables, fruits along with dairy items. The fresh bread and pastries are amazing.

Array of flowers and plants? Check. Expensive cheeses and attractive produce? Check. Smell of warm donuts? Check. Oh, also, a reliable source of Serrano and ibérico ham, as well as good chorizo. Makes whole foods look amateurish.
We buy 90% of our groceries at Market Basket, but always shop produce here - excellent selection, though high prices. Quality of produce is always 100x better than MB, so we dont think twice. Great spot for fresh flowers too!
Awesome produce and many harder to find items (Jerusalem Artichoke for instance). Some people think its expensive, and some things are, but on the whole its well worth the money if you care about what you eat.
Idylwilde caries a large selection of high quality fruits and vegetables. When I have the time, I usually by my fresh produce here. They also sell a wide variety of cheeses from around the world.
Great local and natural food! Some items are a bit pricey - dairy will set you back, but produce is surprisingly well-priced. Theres also a great selection of craft beers, wines, and other drinks.
Amazing produce, cheese, bakery and prepared foods year round. This is our go to place for the best produce and cheese selections year round, a bit on the pricey side but really worth it!
Fresh, wonderful and delicious produce, chesses, meats, baked goods, meats, dairy, oils, wines, flowers and plants. Its a beautiful, comfortable, friendly and well stocked place to shop.
I go here as a lunch option, and they have a wide variety of options. The prices are a little high, but the quality is as well. The pre-made sausage and shells are particularly good.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to go for general grocery shopping or lunch. I especially appreciate the local selection and labels telling me where everything is from.
Shopping here is sheer joy. Healthy food, always well selected, no out of date tasteless fruit or vegetables. Cashiers are great. Flowers everywhere. Whats not to like!
This is my favorite grocery store. They have great prices on fresh produce. Other stuff is a bit pricey but its worth it for the pleasant experience of shopping here.
This is a large farm stand, more of a medium sized market with departments for cheese, meats, wide variety of pre-made foods, vegetables, and diary. Great quality.
Excellent quality and selection of produce, cheeses and charcuterie. Oh yes, there is also wine, bread, flowers, ... And friendly knowledgeable staff.
my go to place for veggies, fruits (fresh and dry) cheese, and candied grapefruit is a must :) very affordable prices and fresh items! cant beat !
A favorite place for fresh produce in the area. Excellent offerings of beer and wine as well. A great alternative to any chain grocery store.
Is it expensive? Yes. However the produce is competitively priced and the selection is top notch. Great beer and cheese selections as well.
A wonderful farm stand. Amazing selection of veggies, deli goods, jams, snack foods, a bit pricy, but great quality. Lots of local items.
Always very busy. They have the freshest vegetables and beautiful flowers. A little $$$$ but well worth it. Regular weekend stop for us.
I dont know how I could live without this place. They have an enormous selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat all year round.
This place is great, they have an amazing cheese selection and great produce. Theres a lot of specialty foods that can be found here.
Tons of fresh veggies, fruits, meats, cheeses, beer, wine, chocolate and baked goods. Great deli counter for lunch or a quick meal.
Pricey but worth it for specialty items. Their bakery and cheese selection is wonderful. They also have some decent deals on wine.
I travel over 40 miles to get to this place. I love their fresh string beans and they have the best Maine blue berry pies. Yummy!
This place is just awesome. A bit expensive but it has everything. Every year we go there for Thanksgiving food shopping.
Great quality food products, some prepared, garden products, alcohol, baked goods, sandwiches, meats. Can be a little pricey.
Have been visiting idylwilde for 20 years and have always found their products and produce to be the highest quality.
Been getting our trees here for awhile now. Always a great selection. Little pricey. Also has a nice grocery store.
This is the best market within 100 miles. Excellent selection of produce, much of which is sourced from local farms.
I was amazed to discover such a place.. Veggies are fresh and at very reasonable price.. they even have a nursery..
