Customer service was terribly unapologetic. Repair guy came out, spent 10 minutes and informed me one of the fans wasnt working on our refrigerator and that if it still doesnt work after he did something to it to call my property manager. 2 hours later nothing was happening, no kicking on, no air cool or anything coming from the fridge. Freezer bone dry and hot as can be. Emailed property manager and was told the office at Metro appliance informed her that the tech had to get a part, "hes on his way back now". 2 hours later, nothing. Took it upon myself to call Metro without going through property manager and when the woman answered the phone from Metro I explained our predicament and that the tech never said anything about getting parts or being back. The woman informed me that she messed up telling my property manager the tech would be back. All techs had gone home for the the weekend (had I been able to call 2 hours previous to this we could have gotten the tech back out... Instead we were waiting around for a tech that was never going to show up) completely and 100% the appliance companys employee that answered the phones fault. Completely unacceptable. Not even an apology. Tech was very nice though.

LOOK/BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE! We live about an hour south. So I called and spoke to them and sent my husband in to purchase and pick up (as they do not deliver to New Virginia) the washer and dryer set. The employee assured me this was a working, MATCHED SET! My husband brought it home and hooked everything up. Not only was it NOT a matched set, but the dryer would NOT TURN ON! So I have called them and was told we can haul the dryer back up to Des Moines so they can "see whats wrong with it", as it is covered by a 60 day warranty, but I will have to speak to a manager in regards to returning them for NOT being a matched set, as I was assured. My husband took a half day off work to do this, and they will not let us go ahead and bring it back up now because the manager has not given approval. And the manager is not around to give us an answer. I will update this after they have gotten back to me. But so far this is just BAD BUSINESS!

I work in customer service so when I read some bad reviews I figured they were blowing things out of proportion. They were not! The lady that answers the phones is rude. The repair guy looked like a drug addict. I called them about my refrigerator needing fixed, the guy came in on a Monday told me it would cost $56.00 and they would have to order a part that would take two days.Two days came and went after the fourth day I called some one else and they fixed it the next day. I didnt get a call Metro until the following Thursday a full ten days later! And they wanted to charge me a service fee I just laughed and hung up. Stay away from them trust me.

We have bought a few items, and had good luck. Sadly, the fact that they deal in used and not new causes the inventory system to be a bit more problematic, but we have not had any problems. The delivery is not perfect, but I have actually found it to be more reliable than the big box stores. I noticed pretty much all the bad reviews were based off of delivery issues. The quality of the appliances we got were a good value. I prefer to pick up and install myself when I buy from any retailer because I hate waiting around, but that is not always possible.

bought an appliance from them last week, supposed to be delivered today. they call me up and say they broke my appliance while loading it to the truck., and have nothing else in stock. they offered a refund and an apology. now I have to shop around for another one. may as well spend the extra money and buy it NEW, that way ill actually GET what I paid for. wait, maybe I already paid for the experience. I give them a 1 out of 7 stars. the lady at the desk was nice through it all.

These guys a great! My washer recently broke down, they were able to come out the same day I called, were very professional, extremely polite and very reasonably priced. I hope none of my other appliances break down anytime soon but, if they do, I will absolutely call them again. You can definitely trust these guys to do a great job at a fair price!

Bad control panel on my washer. Called a couple days ago and talked to Tim. He laid out all the options and then ordered the part for me, per my direction. Travis showed up today with the part and fixed it in like 10 minutes. Excellent customer experience. I highly HIGHLY recommend Metro Appliance!

I call the company early on the service day to confirm service. They didnt get my phone information right and tech guy even went to wrong address. Tech guy just left and move on to his next job without contacting me. Need to reschedule for the service. Not recommend this company.

bought my front loader washer dryer 8 years ago for $200 each. Still works great. These people are great and treat everyone like family. There are always some you cant please and because their life sucks, they take it out on others. I trust these people.
