Classic comfort food served in a cozy, country atmosphere. The special menu rotates seasonally, but the classics are worth it any time of year, and breakfast is served all day. One of the few places that serves grits, if you like that kind of thing. The staff are friendly, the tables are quaint with lanterns and "the peg game" on each table. Its a solid chain worth visiting. They have a little store at the entrance with seasonal items, sweet treats, and local sports clothing. They have rocking chairs and checkers tables out front while you wait, or just to relax.

I went to this location on 2/6/16 and the experience was absolutely horrible. The food was very bland and not worth the price. The server, Tim, forgot a portion of our meal and never asked if we needed anything else. He did not even ask if we wanted dessert, which we did. Tim, was beyond rude, blatantly disrespectful and discriminating, even in front of his manager. This is the only restaurant that I have ever been to where it is okay for the staff to raise their voice at the customers and treat them with disrespect because of the color of their skin.

It was a nice place all, but how this place has a 4/5 star rating is beyond me. I ordered the chicken fried steak along with 3 traditional sides and the only thing on my plate worth touching was the hash brown casserole. Otherwise my food was very bland. Not to mention my girlfriends dumplings having an extremely doughy taste about them. We still tipped exceptionally good and the elderly lady Sharon who was our server didnt say thank you or anything. Its all good though. $27 dollar lesson learned.

I couldnt wait to get that ice cold mug of cider. NOT anymore. They must have changed vendors because now THE CIDER SUCKS!! Watered down crap that hardly even tastes like apples. Id bounce that vendor in a NY minute. Huge disappointment. So, what else have they cheapened? They lost 95% of our business as a result. We used to eat there at least 2-3 times a week. Funny how such a small detail can end up being so expensive to a business ... and they dont even know it. Drew E

Service and food was fast and good. Desert was delicious. We ordered a single side of mashed potatoes and gravy for our 10 mths old and was charged $4.14 for just that one side. Our dinner was both $9.99 each and our desert was $3.99. We were surprised the mashed potatoes cost more than the desert and was half the cost of our meals. Overall, it was good, just suprised with the price.

Its always a treat going to Cracker Barrel Restaurant! Our favorite meal is usually the sunrise sampler but I doubt that anyone could go wrong with anything on their menu. If the place is full and there is a waiting line I really enjoy browsing in their gift shop of the Old Country Store. It always offers some unusual gifts that you cant find any place else!

Went here with my daughter, very busy, but people were being seated and helped immediately. We were seated almost immediately, but was not given a proper menu and not helped in the 10 minutes we sat there. Made eye contact with our waitress several times as she walked past us. Left without talking to an employee once. Will not visit here again.

We had 14 in our church youth group and the had to take off the price of 3 of the hamburger meals because they were served burnt. One in our group had a baked potato that wasnt even mashable and we had one that wouldnt eat his French toast because it was so bad. For spending$140 on supper we werent impressed.

Although very busy and a 20 min wait, customers were served promptly once seated. Food was plentiful and wait staff was courteous, food quality was good. Customers did not feel rushed. The gift shop is a part of the waiting area and cashier, forcing waiting customers into a very congested and small area.

This is the place for bland, boring American food for those who arent adventurous. Most sides are canned or made from canned ingredients. Service is usually quite nice, and the ambiance and decor are spot on for a country store. They also have a fun store attached with overpriced gimmicky gifts and the like.

Its just like any cracker barrel service was decent the food was decent. I love the pancakes but didnt particularly like the syrup which irritated me a lot but the syrup is my personal taste. I liked the biscuits and gravy but the sausage and bacon could have been more well done.

Never eating here again. Had apple pie. There was no mention of nutrasweet on the menu. The receipt says no sugar apple pie. Had a talk with the manager, and he says that if they mentioned everything on the menu, the menu would be 15 pages long. Very poor practice.

Loved the beef noodle soup & camp fire pit roast was so tender!! Cornbread was yummy too with butter-good flavor! Been a long time since weve been there so will return and not wait so long! Everyone had a $5 bowl of soup...it was that good!

Food is great, prices are very good (pretty inexpensive). Love the old country vibe, along with the "home cooked" food choices! Love the old country store too! Not sure why others have given such poor reviews, maybe it was an off day...

We dont eat here to often because it is on the other side of town from where we live, but it is normally pretty good, today the service was very good but the food needed some extra seasoning. All in all it was a good experience.

The food was okay. However, $7.00 is too much for a kids meal. We were charged extra for a bottle root beer without telling us up front. They have no good seating for a family of 5. We felt very rushed by our server.

Last minute and we were in the area. Good food for almost closing. Big portions. Very nice to have an all day breakfast menu. Staff was also very friendly. Loved our waitress. Will be eating here again.

Very good food all the time. Where ever you travel and if there is a Cracker Barrel, you can be sure the food is always the same. Generous portions. We especially like their roast beef, very tender.

The service was good. The food just didnt have much flavor. I had to add salt and pepper to almost everything. And I never do that. The biscuit was barly warm and the corn bread was room temp.

Worth the wait. Only place that remembered what customer service is in Iowa from my experience. And Aleshia was not only friendly and helpful but beautiful. Weekly stop for great food
