Wow! Talk about crappy customer service,,,! If I could leave a negative star, I would. I called ahead and asked about a specific key I needed. I needed 10 key blanks. The guy on the phone assured me he had them and would set them aside for me. When I arrived at the store, I went to the key department and proceeded to wait in line. The guy who I had talked to was there but getting ready to leave. Before he left, I wanted to get his attention and let him know I was there. The lady behind the key counter immediately coped an attitude with me and said, "Ive been working here for over three years and I can take care of anything you have". And let the guy go home. So, I proceeded to wait for 20 minutes. Finally, it is my turn. So I tell her that Im there to pick up the 10 key blanks that I had talked to the guy about. And, still in her crappy attitude tone, she says... "We dont carry those." So I told her that the guy assured me that he had what I needed. So, then she asked me, "Did he set them aside for me? What did he say exactly?" So, i said, "Why dont you ask him?" And then she said... Still in her smart ass condescending tone, "Hes gone for the day." DUH, really? So, on the way out, I ask the cashier if I can talk to the manager... And guess who the manager is... You guessed it, the smart ass behind the key counter. When you call in and get put on hold, their recording says how great their service is... And then they compare themselves to the "Major Stores"... What a bunch of B.S. I will NEVER step foot in that Ace Hardware store again and you shouldnt either. Complete waste of time!
Ive been coming to this Ace for over a decade. Ive always had terrific customer service. Everyone has always treated me as if I was their priority. The front end associates always greet me as I walk in and ask if I need help. The floor associates are knowledgeable and are a great source of advice. I cant believe I see any negative reviews at all, its so unlike my own experience. Im very glad I have an Ace so close to my residence; I prefer them over the big box stores.
The helpful hardware man lives! I shop exclusively for all my hardware needs at this location. It has the feeling of a small family-owned business. Everyone is really friendly and helpful. I find it much more convenient to shop here than to go to Home Depot where I can never find anyone to help me (let alone find the end of the store that has the item I am looking for). All the front end cashiers they have working there are really friendly as well.
Terrible customer service. Chip reader for credit card not reading. So instead of input numbers manually, (like every other store/ multiple Ace stores) they just turn you away not wanting the sale. Oh well will never be back there again. Home Depot likes money.
Will never go back. Returned an item that was not built to do what I wanted. Clerk implied I was to illiterate to read instructions or to stupid to follow them. This Ace is the place for terrible customer service. Doubt well see them in a commercial .
Wish i could use NO stars. FAILED to honor a valid rewards coupon. The rewards coupon is a better deal than the sale price, and was told you cannot use a coupon on something on sale. Funny--the coupon terms says no such thing.
Good thing I called first before going in to discover how rude Purcell Ace is to its customers. The opposite of friendly. Thanks for nothing.
