I recently bought a quite pricey road bike from this shop, and had a terrible experience. Ive been riding for 15 years and have been to a lot of bike shops throughout that period and have never had a negative experience - these guys prove theres a first time for everything. First, they werent even able to get their bike-fitting system to work properly, so ended up just trying different positions and asking me how it felt - essentially what I do at home. They then charged me the full amount for the fitting. I ordered the bike I wanted and was given an estimate as to when it should arrive. I called about a week after the expected arrival date and they told me they had no idea who I was, and there was no record of me. I mildly panicked as Id already given them a $4k down payment on the bike. I told them which bike Id ordered, gave them my name several times, and they continued to tell me there was no record of me. This went on for five minutes until he finally, abruptly, said "oh yeah, your bikes here. Its been ready for two weeks" (they never did give an explanation for never having called, or having reached out in any way). I went to pick it up and they had the wrong wheels (I ordered a specific wheel decal) and when I got home I noticed the front wheel and many of the spokes were all bent. I took it to another shop (one I would have gone to initially except they dont stock the brand of bike I wanted to purchase) and the wheel is now being trued and the spokes fixed. Avoid this shop at all (very high) costs....

In a typical year I can ride thousands of miles and I have been working with Greenwich bicycles for about a decade. From finding creative solutions like carefully filing my brake calipers to make the pads line up with the track on a new wheel to helping me choose optimal equipment and accessories to the conversations with Rob that have inspired me to take it up notch after notch, Greenwich Bicycles has been a great partner in my cycling endeavors. Are they always perfectly attentive offering me the perfect advice and able to turn every mechanic job around in 48 hours or less? Maybe the answer is of course not. Overall though, I have had a great experience and would go so far as to say that they are an asset to the community. Nice working with you. Five Stars.

very nice. very knowledgeable. Simply put -- they did not get the job done. I needed cycling shoes for a spin class and for the road. I know very little about cycling equipment, Im a noob. I told the employee that I would need these shoes for both things. I get to the gym and cant spin the next day because I had road clips on the shoes and not ones for indoor cycling. Now I have to take extra time out of my day to go back. Not happy.

Good selection of bikes (I just ride occasionally for leisure so cant comment on the high end racing bikes). Staff knowledgeable and customer-centric, give you options without being "salesy". Had a great service experience with my Cannondale recently. Only thing that could have been a little better was in terms of keeping me updated on status and when I can pick my bike up.

I have called them for a sale price listed on their website. They have confirmed to me that sale price is valid and they have particular bike in their shop. When I have arrived to the shop 1 hour later, I have got a nasty surprise: There is no sale. They wasted my time.

This is not an extensive review.. reflects my one and only experience with them when I took my bike for a bb overhaul. The mechanic was well-intentioned but not very much skilled. I guess it is a sales oriented shop..

Bought a Trek Madone here and had a fitting. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Ive been very satisfied with my purchase. The new store is rather cramped, though.
