I was looking for a used truck to use as a safe family vehicle and tow camping supplies for road trips. Obviously new trucks are 50k to 60k and that was not in our budget. After stopping by Dye Autos several times to check the inventory I zeroed in on a truck i thought was the one. After the purchase (more on that later) the vehicle started having issues. The radio wouldnt work, ipod input wasnt working, etc. The next morning we took the family out for breakfast to celebrate the new addition to the home. On the highway the truck hit a small pothole and the vehicle lost control. The tires were bowing in and out and the steering wheel locked up rendering me no control over the truck. Eventually we went off the road into a grass field. Using the break and emergency break to bring the truck to a stop. I had my better half and 2 babies with me, one of them being only days old. My wife said to take this piece of crap back and she never wanted to see it again. Several cars that were behind me saw what happened and stopped to help and also give their information for character statements due to the unsafe vehicle that was just bought. They described the truck swaying back and forth, chunks of rubber from the tires flying off, and the front wheels turning in and out seperated as the vehicle was also coming off the ground. I got the vehicle towed home and then brought back to Dye Auto where i told them this is unsafe and this vehicle needs to be returned or fixed. Immediately staff brushed me off and said a sale was a sale, its used, blah blah. This was literally 9 hours after the vehicle was purchased, and they wouldnt offer any help. Good ole Scott, the owner, (who left a 5 star review for this place so dont be fooled) eventually agreed to have the vehicle looked at. I had my mechanic from Perormance Wise take a look as well and he listed several key components needing immediate repairs like the lift kit, suspension, u joint, heim joint, front end, etc. Dye Auto "fixed" everything and the vehicle was ready to go. Another drive later and the front end shaked uncontrollably and the vehicle was losing control and had to be brought to a stop and restarted. The manager agreed to take it for a drive and experienced the same thing, but had an "oh well" attitude. The manager even called the experience "The Death Shake." Scott said he "spent a butt load of money to fix this vehcile." Come to find out 1400 dollars was put it to tighten some things, and then brought back to me. The only way to get out of that vehicle would be to purchase another one of their vehicles that was more expensive and decrease the value of the vehicle i just purchased since "new mechanical issues" have come up. I cut my losses and called the BBB, and the state to report the issues. I filed paperwork and spoke with many people regarding the issue. I finally traded the death vehicle in the next day and got a reliable vehicle my family still has today. At the cost of thousands of dollars lost. I recommended other friends here for good business and all of them have said the customer service sucks, and my friend Mike even returned his vehicle he purchased because of issues similar to mine. Do your homework people. This place is a rip off and run by arrogant man children. Compare the prices of their vehicle to other dealers or KBB. They purchase vehicles that have 100k or more miles and jack the prices up well over market value. No maintenence is peformed, and they have a tunnel vision of a quick pressured sell to the consumer. The only 5 star ratings this place has is from employees so dont let that cloud your judgement. Their financing goes through Denver CU and they rip you off as well. I would absoultely never refer someone here again and hope people read these reviews above and below mine to stay away. I know im not the only family who has been in danger from these folks, and i hope we can aid others in not being part of this danger again.

Do not buy a car from Dye!!! I purchased a truck 2 months ago from them and they talked me into the extended warranty since I was buying a truck with turbos and this would cover the turbos. THE DAY AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRUCK THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. I of course called and they said to bring it in. Well the light turned off the next day and they told me not to worry about it that it was probably nothing and they could not diagnose the issue unless the light was on. Well the light turned on and off a few times over the next month but went off before I could take it in. Finally I took my truck in with the light on to a different dealership and both of my turbos are bad. I have $3k worth of work and the "turbo warranty" they sold me is only covering 1/3. Dye auto sold me a truck that had an issue when I drove it off of the lot and I find it hard to believe they did not know the issue existed. Not only will they not stand behind the product but wont stand behind the warranty they sold me as well. This is one of those dealerships that you have nightmares about where they are scum that are selling a defective product and not willing to stand behind it. I would not recommend that anyone purchase a car or truck from the shady Dye auto

Make sure you take the vehicle to a mechanic before you purchase it I am now stuck with $2,700 in repairs because of it. When I first bought the truck I told them the rotors were bad and the salesman ( who had no mechanical experience ) kept telling me no they were good but after taking the truck to a shop what I said turned out to be true and it costed me $1,000 on the first day of owning it. Then now a few months after owning the vehicle I decided that the problems I thought were not so bad when j bought the vehicle turned out to be an extensive list of things that need to be fixed but magically the warranty I got with the truck wont cover those items which I was never told upon receiving it wouldnt cover so now the shop is wanting me to pay $2,700 to fix it all.... I highly recommend not buying a vehicle here and if you do have extra money for the costly repairs that will follow.

Super disappointed with the entire sale. Its been over a month I have repairs galore for my truck on top of a huge loan. My fault for jumping but the lies from the sales man. Kinda makes me want to laugh. Im making a report to the BBB and gonna cut my losses on what I thought was a nice truck. Sales man was soo convinced that that the tire pressure light was due to the after market wheels and tires. Nope just leaky tires they didnt bother to check. Started making funky noices a week after it was bought and had already had enough so it is what it is.potential buyers buyer be aware. ***Update. After fixing relays and ground wiring problems and replacing sensors, mind you we are 6 months from time of purchase and now it will not even run. DO NOT PURCHASE from these sleeze balls.
