I could not believe how rude I was treated by the owner or some kind of manager. I was there to see if they would be interested in buying a framed movie poster. I called first and the woman who answered told me to show up after 1pm. I show up and I am introduced to a buyer. Then explain my intention of selling. The owner, I assume, interupts and starts talking to me and his employee like we are retards. Then he proceeds to tell me he has tons of movie posters and will not purchase any more. As if I know what he has in his inventory, when it was his employee whom told me to be here after 1pm. Now if he didnt want to buy my item, fine, thats okay but dont disrespect me. I can take no for an answer. That man really missed me off. My first and last impression is Wow! Biggest comic book store Ive ever seen. Last worst impression is how he treated me and Im positive he has treated others the same way. You might like coming here but as for me I will never recommend this place or set foot on this property again.

One of my bucket list items was to some day visit Mile High Comics. While attending a conference in Denver I finally had the opportunity to make my way over to the Jason Street Warehouse. Its stunning. I dont think any amount of hyperbole could prepare you for just how big this place is. Theres no place on earth under one roof that ISNT a comic book convention that contains more books. One section is literally called "the ocean" because its so big. The staff is amazing. Chris took the time to allow me to walk upstairs to a spot overlooking the whole warehouse for a chance to truly take in the size and breadth of the spot, and spent time hanging out and talking with me about comics and helping me find what I was looking for. Their all friendly, they dont hesitate to help, and its obvious they all love comics. If you ever get a chance to stop by the store, do yourself a favor and do it. It was one of the best experiences I ever had in 38 years of comic book collecting. I cant wait to go back again someday.

When I first walked into the store I was amazed. So many comics! They have just about anything you could want as far as back issues go. I love that the graphic novels and TPBs are usually 30% off. However, DO NOT fall for the 50% off back issues sale. I went in at the end of the July after they had returned from San Diego Comic-Con. They had several boxes of silver and bronze age comics out and they were eligible for the 50% off back issue deal. I looked at several great comics. All priced at QUADRUPLE book. So even with 50% off you still pay double book value. I dont know about their "premium" books that hang up on the wall. I usually dont have the funds to even look at them.

This place is incredible! I was directed here from the Mile High store on Wadsworth as I was looking for a specific book. They told me I could find it here, and I was also told that this place was huge - they were not lying! Enormous selection of back issues, TPBs, action figures, games and memorabilia. Staff were super friendly and helpful and got me the book straight away. I could have spent a whole week in here - definitely on my list of places to return to when Im next in Denver.

Ive been going here basically since it has opened. The owner, Chuck, is often there in his 70s style Sateen Mile High Comics jacket with long ponytail tied neatly behind his back. Ive been in dozens of comic book stores around the United States, this is clearly the largest I have been in. The "sea of comics" is huge, lots of toys (overpriced, wait for sales), and my personal favorite -- the large $1 bin. Be sure to check out the regular auctions.

What can be said about the worlds largest Comic Book store that hasnt already been said? That their employees are friendly and knowledgable? That their selection is guaranteed to satisfy even the most obscure interests? That their pricing is competitive? MHC is all of these things in a building the size of an airplane hangar. If you cant find what youre looking for at Mile High, it doesnt exist.

Large selection of over priced comics. Needless to say I got a comic for 60 bucks, 2 days later went to hall of justice comics and found the same issue for 25 in about the same condition. Sure the comic is over 30 years old but a huge mark up compared to a smaller comic shop 25 miles away from this location. Definitely stick to the smaller comic shops with honest owners here in Colorado.

Heads and shoulders above the average/great comic shop, anywhere else. I cannot imagine anyone who truly enjoys the comic shop experience can complain about this place. Also, the staff is fine. Im sure they just wish they were reading instead of filing away misplaced books, answering questions and walking on concrete. 11/10 would recommend to anyone to spend money there

Awful experience. Brought 5 books up to check out, and instead of ringing me up, they went ahead and repriced every book at more than double the sticker price. When I asked what was going on, I was belittled with sales rhetorical nonsense and simply walked out. Very rude and unfriendly staff, with astronomical prices. Wont be going back

There is no other place that has as many back issues. Other than that, prices were high. Like comic convention high. And the supporting merchandise was sparse and picked over. But back issues for days... and a reasonable library of graphic novels and new comics. Its worth checking out if you have holes to fill in your collection.

Cathair Apocalypse
One of the GREAT American Comic Stores for over 30 years. The largest selection in the nation, and the most knowledgeable staff. Weekly events and visits by the top names in the industry. The DisneyWorld of comic shops, you could vacation here. They support indie creators and YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!

The biggest and best selection of comic books (back issues and current titles), graphic novels, t-shirts, action figures, and other pop culture paraphernalia. This place is literally a warehouse devoted this stuff. As an added bonus, they have monthly auctions where Ive scored some cherry deals on collectibles.

Amazing! The biggest selection of comics (both modern and classic). Tons of collectors editions as well as weekly releases and graphic novels. There are tables for games, and a childrens section for your little ones. Would highly recommend- even if youre not one for comics, this place is not to miss.

MadPlanet
Wow! HUGE comic book store with tons of back issues including a lot of super rare expensive ones you never see anywhere. And lots of $1 comics too. Also lot of other cool comics/sci-fi stuff like figures, shirts, toys, etc. If you are anywhere near Denver and like comics this the place to go.

If you have never made it to a comic book auction you owe yourself the treat of going at least once. If you see a comic graded you can buy it with confidence that you are getting what you pay for. Also there tables upon tables of $1 comic books you can introduce new readers to.
