Ive been shopping here for two years and am just getting around to reviewing them. First of all, this is my favorite specialty shop in Denver. And yes, a specialty shop is exactly what it is. If you can afford to do all your grocery shopping here, more power to you, for me, its where I go for hard to find items, special dinners, holidays, and when I just feel like treating myself. Great olive oils, salts, spices, butters, bread, condiments, cheeses, sandwiches, deli meats, you name it... The butcher block is *amazing*. Ive never purchased anything from it that wasnt utterly perfect and the staff is always informative and helpful. Thats another reason I keep going back - I havent encountered this level of wonderful service in any other Denver shop. Theyre friendly, polite, professional, seem genuinely happy to be there, have myriads of recommendations when you need them but will leave you in peace when you dont, and will help you find/order/obtain anything you can think of. Heck, even the guy I talked to on the phone just now to order my turkey was the friendliest person Ive encountered all day.

Best food and best customer service around. I am so blessed to have Marczyk in my neighborhood as I can go there daily for fresh ingredients for my daily meals instead of having to stuff my fridge full of foods filled with fillers and preservatives. The bread is amazing as well as all of the fresh meats and sandwiches The cashier girls are the nicest and some of the hardest working and most efficient cashiers around. I left my credit card after paying once and was called within 5 minutes with the staff letting me know it was safe in the safe. The friends and family rewards program allows you to get different and amazing foods you may not usually get because they are priced so well and the sandwich program is a perk. And you cant dislike that they have some great wine and champagne choices in the back! Will be coming here as long as I can

On Valentimes Weekend, the computers were down. They were taking peoples credit card information manually with pen and paper (including the secret code). This seemed odd. Things got worse. We found that we were charged MUCH more than the cost of the items. My friend saw the same thing on his statement as well. We went back to confront the manager in question, and he lost his mind and called us an unrepeatable name! If you like being ripped off, overcharge, having your credit card information taken, and called names by a pretentious manager, then this is the place for you. Save yourself some hassle and go down the street to Trader Joes.

Not nearly as good as Tonys. The selection is very small and very expensive (puts Whole Foods to shame). The staff is not particularly friendly either. In fact, I went last saturday and I stood at the deli counter to get some sliced meat. The woman behind the counter sees me but just keeps making pre-maid sandwichs for the deli case - after 5 minutes I left the store. But truly, the big problem is that they really dont have a lot of stuff here and the store feels kinda of bare. I think a grocery store should feel like its filled with all types of food (like Tonys or even Whole Foods).

Live around the corner and often use Marczyks for specialty cheese, sandwiches, beer, and of course burger night. Food is good although overpriced. The reason for the 3 stars is my constant frustration with the staff. They are not friendly and often rude. Youre rarely acknowledged by the staff. Received quite a bit of attitude for ordering a sandwich 25 minutes prior to closing this week. Although I love the convenience of their location Ill gladly walk down the street to Olive and Finch for delicious homemade sandwiches and better service. Customer lost!

Not my kind of scene... very snobby customers, overpriced. Sandwiches are (really) good but too expensive. I like that you can customize sandwiches though. Butchers are very knowledgeable and meat is an okay price. Im sure someone out there will be delighted by overpriced produce and wildly varied out of stocks, but Im not a fan. Often you will get an email saying certain things are on sale, and the employees will have no idea what you are taking about (not their fault) or it will be immediately out of stock. Lots to improve on, overall.

Went there last week to pick up some Lamb Meat Balls and some Cholula Hot Sauce,as I went to the counter to pay for my purchase,I gave them my Chase Debit Card. After running my Credit Card through, the Cashier said that they have been having problems with Chase Credit Cards.I then told him that it was a EBT Card, and he flat out told me that they dont accept those cards.I ask why,he said he didnt know.I sent an email to the company a few days later to ask why,and of date,no respond! Many times, silence speaks louder than words!!

Really great food and a nice wine and beer shop. Some stuff is stupid expensive, but plenty of appropriately priced items. I do seem to get told they are out of stuff a lot at the sandwich counter. I think this is because they take a more gourmet approach to making food and run out of things they make for the day, but sometimes I think its because they simply dont want to make it. Such as the Alaskan, I cant seem to get them to make me one, Ive had several recent failed attempts. Its just salmon and cream cheese!

Wow! Dont go anywhere else to get a sandwich or any fine foods! "Why?" you ask. Well, the answer is simple my friend. After trying the goods at Marczyks, you wont need to buy food anywhere else. The quality of their food is unbeatable. Food that is high quality and rich in taste will yield more for your dollar because it is real food, and it does not go through any extensive manufacturing. Dont even get me started on their in house sausage.

First let me start off with this place is expensive but you get what you pay for. Their ready made sandwiches along the with ones you can order are fantastic! Great meat and cheese selection and a lot of organic snacks which are amazing. I love going to this place to grab a sandwich. Also I love the burgers they grill outside on Fridays during the summer.

I love having this great place in my neighborhood. Kick### steak cuts and freshest seafood you can get in Denver. Great selection of cheeses and wines. And so much more. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later!! So many times I have wanted to make a Marzcyks run and its closed. Sat close at 8pm, Sun is like 6 I think , etc...

The food is generally very good if somewhat overpriced. I recently bought some guacamole that was bad. They basically had old guacamole that they mixed in additional lime juice to keep from turning brown and resold it. Be sure to check your receipts, the staff make a lot of errors ringing things up and consistently in the stores favor.

Best. Denver. Grocery. Food porn at its best and its as good going down as well. Small, personal and chock full of the best meats, veggies, breads, cheeses and all sorts of great stuff. Expensive, yes. Quality, highest. We never miss a trip to Marczyks when we travel to Denver. Everyone should have a neighborhood market like this one.
