My friends and I went into this Arc thrift store Friday December 16th 2016...we drive 2 hours away from winter park, so we did arrive very late. We got there 5 mins before closing (8:55 pm). We only need 1 item, a pair of jeans. We walked in the door and they did there annocement that they were closing now and to come up to the front. Well my friend found a pair of jeans, and literally ran into the dressing room. As he was walking in an employee told him, " you have 30 seconds". About 10 seconds after that he is standing outside the dressing room, "20 seconds"! My friend and I are standing outside the dressing room waiting for our other friend to try on his jeans. In the meantime we now have 2 arc employees telling us we, "need to go, because the store is closed". At this time its only 8:59! So I told the employee it will be just a sec were just waiting for our friend to come out and we will be on our way. The woman employee starting getting attitude and said, "well Im going to call the 5 O". I said for what!? Please go ahead and call the police. Our friend in the dressing room came out empty handed after hearing us being threatned with the police. As we were walking outside there were 9 people standing in line to check out, guess they should have the cops called on them too. Absolutely appaled. I called and spoke with the manager, (Susan) she didnt really seem to care. The worst customer service I have seen in a long time! So if you feel like getting treated like crap and possibly have some police contact along with getting raped for your money with their way over priced garbage this is the place for you! Wish there was a -5 ☆s because thats what I rate this establishment. I will never shop here again! Maybe if it goes under new management with new employees, I will consider it. UGH!!!!!!

If you cant afford new furniture, are on a budget or middle to lower income I do not recommend going here (specifically the location at 6791 West colfax) for furnishings. Every time we go they are WAY over priced. I dont know ;how they come up with their prices but even the employees I talked to say the prices are over the top. You could buy new at places like wal-mart or target for cheaper on some of the stuff. I dont get it. I get the feeling that something "fishy" is going on in the furniture department (in my humble oppinion). Ive seen a lot of nice stuff dropped off that never seems to make it to the floor. Although its possible they just sell fast. Even on half off days it seems like they either mark up the tags so the price remains the same or change the tag color so its not included in sales. Youd think in addition to helping those with disabilities the point is to help those who cant afford to buy new but that is not the case at all. If you want to help the community or yourself I suggest going to places like Habitat for Humanity or Good Will (youll be shocked at not only the difference in price but also quality....or maybe you can find an Arc with affordable prices. Also if you want to donate for the purpose of actually helping people in need I would take your items elsewhere (Habitat, Good Will or post on craigs).

i needed to do some community service. I was treated like dirt from the very beginning. The managers and employees were not helpful or even kind. They just gave me the work they did not want to finish or that was beneath them. The Manager always acted like he had no time to put in my time that I worked, he did not want to give me my time sheet and in fact said that they could not find them. when I told him he had them he got belligerent and said , You are calling me a liar?) all I wanted to do was do my work get in my hours and leave when I wanted to. Instead they made you wait another hour until they felt like signing you out. The staff hardly worked on breaks all the time and talking about inappropriate subjects in front of customers. The staff would make fun of the disabled and talk about how the community service workers were losers. just because we made some bad choices in the past does not mean that we should be treated like "slaves" . Worst store ever not clean, unfriendly, down right rude and lazy staff.

Yet another thrift store that is completely out of touch with reality. Was in yesterday and they had a dresser priced at $149.99 that was MISSING THREE DRAWERS! Im all for helping handicapped people but are they asking me to pay for their crystal meth addiction? Production department is in serious need of drug testing and management change. Too much overpriced garbage to make the trip worthwhile, save your time and avoid this location. Three years now and nothing has changed. Still wildly overpriced damaged and filthy merchandise.

I found this ARC location to be very organized. I like that they have dressing rooms and a large Halloween section (larger/better than a lot of Halloween stores). Ive shopped here a few times and mostly bought clothes. I find the prices to be great but I have not bought furniture here so I cannot comment on the fairness of those prices. If you need clothes or minor furniture items (shelves, chairs, etc) I would highly recommend this ARC Thrift store.

First time ever being there and the mere store and its appearance was awe inspiring. Very organized and clean. The way a store should look. Only improvement I would suggest to the store is "customer courtesy". If I was a secret shopper this store would fail solely on the bad attitude of a few staff. But overall it deserves at least a 4 star for its appearance and what it stand for.

I like the store because its large and has tons of stuff. That being said they need to work on pricing. Im not going to pay $6 for a Walmart brand shirt I can buy at Walmart for $5 new. They definitely need some work on what and how they privce stuff. You know 2 different people have priced when the exact same item has 2 different prices. Dont expect really friendly service either.

Its a huge store and pretty well organized. Lots of selection. But it is absolutely filthy. I understand its a thrift store so Im not expecting too much here. But with as many volunteers and people coming in for community service, youd think they could find someone to clean. Especially the fitting rooms and bathrooms.

The manager is very rude. He was rude, disrespectful and had extremely poor customer service. Felt bad for the woman that had to deal with him. Seeing the altercation, has made me think several times before going back. Rather go to a different arc store that has better customer service.

This Place is super expensive for a second hand store! They never have anything on sale! All the color tags that are supposeably on sale dont exist! Most of the items are all one color tag and guess what? Those tags are NOT on sale!

i used to shop at many of the ARC shops. Not any more. They are all over priced even when you consider the half price days. Ridiculous. They have a wonderful charity, but they have lost sight of their objective.
