Well what can I really say? The actual hookah lounge closed over 5 months ago, and is currently derelict. Apparently it was cheap, and you got what you paid for. I never visited the lounge when it was open, as I do not consume tobacco whatsoever. This review is only about the smoke shop which is adjacent to the empty eye-sore of a building which used to be the lounge. OKAY so, Without the stores multiple vivid "OPEN" signs one would assume that the property is a bank owned/abandoned lot. The owner, whom I assume is an Egyptian man, whos name I believe is still Jimmy, seems to be fond of hiring young, inexperienced, ditzy workers with communication levels that are generally poor and leave one somewhat bewildered due to their seemingly terminal uniqueness. Im told that there is no hourly rate of pay; workers must be happy to take home 10% commission of sales made during their shift, unassumingly under the table and most likely in cash. This "motivational" factor in my opinion just makes dealing with some of the workers very tedious. I feel almost delirious sometimes when dealing with the constant barrage of poorly executed up-selling technique, although its seemed to die down after my 5th or 6th visit. The hours of operation are actually quite convenient/flexible, and they claim 9am-midnite 85% of the week. Ive dropped in after midnight on one occasion and was still served. Sometimes they arent open when they claim to be (last time I saw this was early August 2016) however theyve been good on this flaw in recent days due to the new management, yet sometimes are still not open when advertised. The smoke shops selection of products is average for this day and age, offering mostly Chinese blown glass pieces at ridiculously high prices, generic/over priced e-juices, poisonous smelling incense sticks, and a selection of low-quality kratom/legal "highs" both as leaf filled capsules or 5-hour energy style potable liquid shots. On the other hand/giving them the benefit of the doubt I will say they do have some cool imported hookah rigs, t-shirts and souvenirs that are apparently actually from Egypt. They claim this level of authenticity, and due the mom and pop nature of the place, why not believe it? The greatest/ most important service in my opinion is their locally famous raffle ticket drive, with drawings of winners names on major holidays throughout the year. This service is really the only reason why I still frequent or talk about Pyramid Hookahs smoke shop so often, and one would understand why if they knew/followed the rules of said raffle drive. Lets just say that it isnt the prize Im going for! The convenience of this service, and its private dont ask/dont tell policy (no ID required, major credit cards accepted, mostly quality product) has saved my tail on days in which I did not feel well at all, needed a pick-me-up and couldnt have possibly made it all the way out to Manitou Springs to purchase said similar service. Its the only product that Ive personally seen people actually spending money on in the store, besides of course the daily visits by members of Colorado Springs thriving local homeless/meth/crack head community who are constantly buying the quite cheaply offered stems (1$) and glass roses (also, 1$) at any given point in the day. All in all, 3/5 stars Thats ONLY due to the raffle drive. Also I find myself wildly entertained when attempting to haggle down glassware with certain employees. The reasons given for why their pieces are so expensive are hilariously misguided. 100% face-palm guaranteed!

Its a house, like a 1940s era house. Not a legit business type establishment. Kudos to the owner for running a business through his home, but there is no professionalism or customer service here. Its very reminiscent of a college house party environment, but with minors. Walking through the front door, ppl were playing beer pong. Music was incredibly loud and strobe lights blind you as you enter. The house had high school to early college aged ppl throughout/operating the establishment. Its real chill for sure and the prices are fair (although limited to 3 ppl per hookah), but just dont. Im 26 and was way older than every person there. Its byob, meaning place to go for high schoolers to drink. The owner set up our hookah, and then never came back to service it. Didnt even give us tongs so I could service it. Ive been to worse places, but this is definitely in the bottom 5. Just dont. This is what youd expect when you have children with no experience try to run a business. The hookah itself looked nice, but it wasnt clean. Floaties in the vase. The hoses are very narrow, like a straw. No hookah "condoms" available, so youll suck on the same hose countless other ppl put their mouths on. The house itself was dirty and about 100 or so coal burn marks in the wood floor. The kitchen where they prep everything was disgusting. The flavors are basic and what youd find at any other establishment. Their "house mix" flavors are cheap and not that good, but clean (no weed, even though they sell other smoking products in a shed out back). That pretty much sums it up. Dont go here. Just dont waste your time. Trust me.

Ive been to this place a number of times probably 10 times 3 out of those 10 times they were not open when their business hours said they were open the owner lives upstairs and basically just told me to leave. The place is utterly disgusting there is trash all over the place... the employees they do nothing. horrible business I would highly recommend never going here

IM a regular hookah smoker and I rate this place a zero. Simply because of bad conducted of business. There tobacco is cut with oregano or something similar. The owner claims its starbuzzs new cut. Ive compared it to other shops and hookah bars, its not. Look at the tobacco before buying, do not be fooled. He charges a high 15 dollars for a 100 grams.

When I first walked in I couldnt even tell who worked there, I had to ask a group of people who the employees were. The music was too loud and the strobe lights practically blind you if you look in certain directions and the kitchen where they prepare everything was fithy
