After doing some research we decided w/this place, walked in & the lady @ the desk was nice, helpful, & informative. She went over pretty much everything that u would normally @ a tat shop, so we felt comfortable w/this place. @ 1st she said they were booked & that looking @ her calender another artist was available @ the other location. When I saw the calendar was handwritten I asked could she call the artist ovr there b4 we drive another 30 min to a different location & not get an appt. she called & come to find out he was booked. She had us look @ other artists tat books & we chose Jesus she didnt really explain much in detail she jst sd pay the deposit of $20 a piece to hold your appt. I felt something was telling me not to go thru W/it but I paid anyway, then she sd dnt worry abt it jst pay $20 for both of u & if she could see a sketch or pic of what type of tat we wanted. My friend showed her a pic on her phone, which was a small anchor. The lady @ the desk sd thats pretty small & simple so it shouldnt cost more than $40 if we wanted to add a few simple things to it then it would b around $80. Our appt day came, the artist didnt even introduce himself & printed the design off the internet that we sent & tatted it. I felt like mine was crooked so I asked if I could get it adjusted & he seemed annoyed then bcuz of the after print of the 1st 1 the top of the anchor was crooked & I asked him if we could move part of it upward so it would look correct. He got even more annoyed & sd he would free hand the top. I agreed but he didnt fill in the tat & he made it crooked @ the top & he went pretty rough w/the needle. I should b able to have a say so with change w/my tattoo thats going on my body forever without guilt. Thats when I should b making changes during when they press the draft paper onto ur skin. Not after the fact when its permanent & u wish u would have sd something b4 hand. Then we went to pay & our total was $240 for 2 half dollar size anchor tats. My friend & I brought in cash $40 & the lady @ the desk, of course said y would she say $40 when there minimum is $50 & that she said the $40 to $80 is on top of what the artist charges. Dnt get me wrong I know that all artists charge something different for there type of wrk, but this was the internets sketch wrk. I have now called & emailed the owner & no response. No 1 is understanding or listens @ this location. Probably nothing will b resolved. Sooo happy.....

While I was stationed in Colorado Springs, even with 483,290,493 different tattoos shops in town, there was only one person Id let do work for me. HOLLYWOOD! This man is simply an artist with both a needle gun as well as ink and paper. In total, Hollywood did seven sizable pieces for me...each of them hand-drawn from scratch to include a half sleeve. Not a day goes by when I dont get a compliment on at least one of Hollywoods pieces...especially his recreation of God and Adam piece by Michelangelo which adorns the roof of the Sistine Chapel. Put simply, if youre in Colorado Springs and you go ANYWHERE else...youre making a (very lasting) mistake. Hollywood is absolutely top notch and if I ever decide to get anymore work done, youd better believe Im flying from North Carolina back to COS just so he can do it. Further, Ive seen work by all of the artists at P&N2 and they are all highly skilled. And tattoos shops simply dont come any cleaner and more respectable than P&N2. I cant say it enough. If you go elsewhere in COS, youre not getting the best tattoo...

Excellents across the board for this shop and my tattoo artist, Joey. It was my first tattoo (and Im 25). I was a little nervous about getting everything right, so I did my research on several recommendations I received from friends in the area. I decided to go here based on their level of expertise and cleanliness. The front desk experience was great. They showed genuine care for me and explaining things to me. When I went in, the environment was pristine. And my artist was there waiting. He was so helpful and friendly, any notion of nervousness I might have had was gone instantaneously. He made me feel so comfortable and explained everything to me. During the session, he kept me entertained, and when he told me he was done I was shocked -- it was so fast. Im going back again as soon as possible. I highly recommend this shop -- and Joey if youre lucky enough to get him.

I forgot to make a second review, because my friend and I came back with an appointment. Again, despite the appointment, we still had to wait a while. Then, I dont know why, one of the artists (Raven, I think) was so rude to me? But he was okay with my friends? I dont know of there was some sort of discrimination in play, and my friends were completely confused, too. I had brought in a design which he refused, which is fine. Artists have the right to do that, but he was so rude about it. Went on for a whole minute about how ugly the design was. Which, fine, but he was mean about it. Then he turned around to my friends completely accommodating, which threw them for a loop. Thing is, I had already paid and they couldnt refund so I had to wait for them to call management to get my money back two weeks later. None of my friends (and especially not I) will be coming back.

Can I give them 10 starts? I just want to say that I have found my new tattoo home. I suffer from PTSD and get panicked easy. From the moment I walked in they were so attentive and understanding. I booked almost 2 months ago because I had watching his work and falling in love with it. We had a general idea but when I came in he had something like hed seen my dreams drawn up. Shes beautiful and doing exactly what I want; creating and being one with the universe. I take my art and my artists serious and Red will always be worth the wait. And ladies...hes single and Id say a pretty awesome dude, so even if youre not ready for ink, hit up Pens & Needles and go chill with Red, hes not just a great artist, hes pretty cool and funny to boot. Thanks again Red and Pens & Needles for a great experience. I see this becoming a beautiful friendship.

Me and my husband have been long time customers of Pens and Needles 2. We wouldnt go anywhere else for ink. Hollywood redid an old tat that i had and now im proud to show it off. Its such a beautiful peice. Its on my rib cage and it was very painful but Hollywood talked me through it and really made it a fun process, even though i was hollering the whole time. Joey has done two peices on me and several large peices on my husband as well. He did a beautiful phoenix on my arm which also covers part of my chest and left shoulder blade. I couldnt be happier with the tattoo. Everywhere i go people wana know where i got it from and who did it. Currently i am stationed in Korea but the first chance i have i will definitely come back for more ink. Pens and Needles is the place to go!!!!
