This is a bike shop i go to purely out of necessity. The staff is knowledgeable however it doesnt come out in a freindly inteligent way. I always feel like im being belittled and they will happily sell you items you dont need. I went in to buy a chain and I couldnt figure out how to put it on myself, I went back and was told its almost an impossible task to match the chain with the cog, and i would need to buy a 50$ part to make my chain fit. I desparingly agreed and the man went about his work. After 30 mins I recived my bike back without the 50 dollar part he was trying to have me take home and install, why did it not come back with this part? Turns out that the chain he had sold me was too thick where it joined to feed through the essentially derailer that he was trying to sell me so he just went ahead and fit my chain without it which he could have done the whole time and yet decided i needed to drop 50 dollars on a stupid part that wouldnt have worked. It absolutely breaks my heart to roast a local buisness especially one thats been around so long, but im a person im not a money sign and here i feel like just that a money sign. And i this is just one instance but ive watched them do it to friends and been apart of it, so im under the impression this is the excprience everyone gets. If you need to restore your mobility they will be there, and you can do it, but id suggest another local bike shop if youre looking to be treated as a human being.

Friendliest Bike Shop in town. I have personally been to them all, Criterium being the worst. My sales rep was Mike and he was very very helpful in selecting a bike. I ended up purchasing something different than I wanted, but I am far happier with the outcome. A couple months later my cables stretched a bit and the shifter caused my chains to rub on other components. I brought my bike in and they immediately fixed the issue without an additional charge as a part of their maintenance guarantee. The staff here is incredibly friendly, and if your a chunkier person concerned about how you will be viewed looking for your bike, you have no need to fear, this store is by far the best "Clydes" friendly store in town (Criterium being the worst), they treat you with respect, and are not pushy in the least bit.

I had been to this particular site once before with my parents who were looking to purchase a tandom bike. We were immediately greeted by a man named Randin. He was very nice, detailed, and educated on the products that they had to offer. I returned to this store to look at a mountain bike for me and was once again impressed. Greeted again by Randin, he took the time that was needed to insure that I was happy with my purchase. He went through all of the functions and technology on the bike, and then put it on hold for me. He gave me a great deal, much lower than other stores in town. I really like the friendly environment especially since this was my first bike. They have a great selection of bikes as well as price range. Staff was friendly and very educated. Thoroughly impressed!!!

Went in on 4/13. Waited a few minutes for a sales rep to assist me (no big deal) I was looking for something in the $400 range. I explained that to the sales rep. I also mentioned that I would like a bike with a 300lb weight capacity. He then proceeded to tell me that NO manufacturer issues a weight capacity for any bike. And that NO bike is guaranteed to hold my weight.(didnt ask for a guarantee.) All bikes have a weight capacity (usually 250lb or 300lb.it was probably in the booklet that comes with the bike.) So they obviously dont know there product very well or they were so in convenienced by such a small sale, that it wasnt worth looking into. Either way I kindly told them to have a nice day and left without a new bike...

They sell great bikes at OTBS but my recent experience tells me to not rely on them for service. My Gary Fisher was there for eight weeks waiting for a part. Each time we stopped in they admitted that they had forgotten to order it. Finally my wife went in to get the bike to take it somewhere else and they took a part off of another bike and fixed mine. Why couldnt they do that eight weeks ago? Its frustrating to have hours of driving back and forth from Manitou to pick up the bike only to find out that it wasnt fixed yet, and to have missed half the summer of mountain biking because of the inattention of the OTBS staff.

One of the best shops in the springs. Albeit in-store bicycle selection is limited, they do a great job at service. Very experienced. On par with other bests. Only place I go to other than Old Town is Criterium and Teds. Been going to all bike shops in the city for 17 years and Ive spent my 10,000 hours of experience on finding the best bike shop and for long-term commitment and staying one of the best, I value Old Town as being the best overall bike shop for services and friendliness, they are the least likely to change.

I moved to CO Springs recently and didnt realize that there were thorns that would cause damage to the tires on my road bike. I have been to Old Town Bike Shop every time I have had an issue and the man that has helped me each time has been efficient and even taught me how to avoid the thorns and how to fix the tire myself if I choose to do so. I have also purchased miscellaneous items from them and they are always friendly and they always answer my questions and take time to help me. I recommend!

Just bought a bike from there today and the service was wonderful. Paul helped us through the whole proccess. He spent over an hour helping me pick out and adjusting the bike from the seat, to adjusting the handlebars. Even helped me pick out helmets, gloves, maintenance kits, and tubes. I know little to nothing about bikes so he gave me a great start into the biking world.

I am rather new to mountain biking and these guys are making it a wonderful experience. They will not sell you things you dont need. They adjusted my brakes and gears for free. I will be moving away from my entry level bike and buying something better from this place. I would highly recommend this place great service. Thanks guys!!

Just dropped in to buy some AVID brake pads and they were priced at about $23/set, much to my surprise! Shopped online for the exact same part, about $13. So much for shopping local, I should have know better but was in a hurry, and did not think they would be ripping customers off THAT BADLY! Next time, know better!
